Logan's journey begins..

Sounds like you are doing great! Your new workouts sound really interesting...are you able to do all of the workouts at your house?

Yep, all in front of my TV :)

P90X workout set (check out the good reviews, can be bought cheaper elsewhere):

Changed the ticker to drop a couple lbs this week :)

Started the P90X workout, but I think I will do a little less extreme workout for the next 30 days. I believe I am going to do the Power 90 workout, which is a step below the X series. I was able to get through the workouts, but there were some that were a little too difficult to do to make worthwhile (mostly pushup / situp variances).

I will benefit most from taking a step back, working those key areas, then start it back up. I will keep everyone posted on what route I go!

Back to the football games!!

Motivation...a word that I am lacking in lately.

I have been eating decent 95% of the time, but had a baby shower for my wife over the weekend and the leftover food has been lingering around, which makes for easy snacking. I also can't get on a consistent workout schedule. Even with trying stuff at home, I am having a hard time getting myself in the mood to workout at 9pm or after. I am basically maintaining my weight over the last couple weeks.

Granted, I have been very busy at work and with getting stuff ready for the new baby (less than a month)! But, I should be able to fit in 30-45 mins of activity in the evenings...I just can't stick w/ it. I know that's what is holding my weight loss up, so I need to get my butt in gear.

Anyone have some advice/methods (like rewards for working out, etc) that will help me out?? Ideally, the ultimate goal should be my reward, but I need smaller more frequent rewards...

**END RANT** :)

Thanks!

Hello, nothing too new going on w/ me, other than just maintaining unfortunately. I have been quite busy at work, my side job, and anticipating our first child (which could be any time!!) that I have just been doing average. Once life is back to normal (well, that'll never happen) I will be able to get back on track. Luckily I am not gaining anything, just sitting level...I can live w/ that for now :)

Take care.

At least you're still maintaining.. no problem with taking it easy for a while just make sure the pounds don't sneak back on.

The reward for me when I run is just the way I feel afterwards. If I don't run and I'm not eating that well I'll start getting this feeling like I'm dirty, and as soon as I run I feel a hundred times better.

Maybe you could try setting up a sort of reward each week though. If you do your workouts then you can allow yourself a cheat meal on the weekend, or allow yourself to have something that you normally wouldn't (in moderation of course!).

Good luck!

Let's see if anyone remembers me that may have subscribed to my thread a while back :)

I'm still here..but a lot has changed since my last post. I now have an almost 7 month old baby girl who is AMAZING! And, I have kicked my weight lost adventure up a notch in the last couple weeks. As of my last posting Feb. 9th, I was at 243. I jumped back up to 254 in July...but have since lost again and am down to 239! I have a friend who has given me new motivation, as he was the exact same size as me, and is now in the 190's!

Ready or not, here I come! :)

Just a quick update...I signed up for a 4 mile run that takes place in 90 days, and have never ran in anything like this before :) So that gives me some new motivation! I by no means have any plans to "compete" in it, but I definitely want to run the entire race! The longest I've ran before non-stop is about 2 miles, but with some proper training (and discipline) I will make this happen.

:)
