Llamabean's Last 26.6

I think you should also bring healthy snacks to eat. But I think you should have one piece of pizza and eat it slow, that way you get to enjoy it but not overdo it. You can have a treat every so often just make sure it's in moderation. Plus if you do exercise on that day as well, then you're definately good to go.

LlamaBean!!! Welcome back. I missed you and your blue hair, gorgeous. Sounds like you have a plan. For this weekend, sometimes at social functions, I cut my time there short if I worry I might give in to food. I go, bring a bottle of Perrier and sip it slowly. Might stay another 20 minutes and then I excuse myself and leave. It's just one idea.
Welcome back!!

Good morning!!! Congratulations on the 174!!!! You are kicking butt and doing so great! Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Gah! Screwed up yesterday :-( Stupid Wednesdays!

Back on track today! I'm going to try to get out of here early and go hiking. Maybe that will sweat off some of the extra from yesterday.

Why are wednesdays so horrible? I did bad today, had KFC! But, no more KFC for me, it made me feel crappy and I didn't like the taste of it like I used to anyhow.... so there KFC! :rotflmao:

Llamabean: Ah...don't sweat one day--everyone has them and I think it's helpful---keeps you on your toes, keeps the weight loss goals in your mind, helps you persevere.

Almost time for HPDH!!!!!

I'M SO EXCITED! I am going to be hosting a panel and roundtable discussion at the barnes & noble I'll be at for the 12:01 release of the book. The first two hour panel is for people who have read the books but are kind of new to Book 7 theory - all the basic stuff. Is Harry a horcrux, is Snape innocent, is Dumbledore really dead, etc. Then the roundtable will be divided by theory experience level, so the newbies can discuss the panel topics, and the advanced people can spend their last night on more advanced theory. Ex: what was Dumbledore talking about when he drank the green potion, tracking down all the mundane items through the books that might be horcruxes, who else was there the night that Harry's parents died, and crazy theories.

My favorite theory that probably isn't true is one I made up about the chocolate frog cards. My idea is that the chocolate frog cards act as portraits, not pictures - because Dumbledore leaves them and comes back occasionally. Now that Dumbledore is dead he is practically omniscient through those cards. Clues are: Dumbledore's password is always candy, and in OOTP he is quoted by the weasley twins as saying "I don't care what they do to me so long as they don't take me off the chocolate frog cards"

Mind if I take a seat?

:p

Wow - Steve! I didn't know you read these. I'll have to be on extra good behavior now or the next time I ask for advice you'll know that my struggles really are me overeating and not exercising. ;-)

I work with the youth group at the church I work for which is on Wednesdays, so I get extra exposed to all the candy and chips and junk I could ever want from the snack bar. It's a habit of mine to eat lemonheads on the van drive to get the kids. Then - I go sleep over at my mother's place who has all the candy and chips and junk I could ever want. I just lose some extra resolve on Wednesdays.

I hit the 40 lbs lost today! I was excited I almost cried. I've been nearly 40 down for like 8 weeks now but I finally got back on the boat and am doing this thing again.

Tonight is the lock-in, so I'm going to have to do a grocery store run and stock up on good stuff for me. If I start eating the pizza I probably won't stop. But maybe just 1......I dunno what I'm going to do yet.

Congrats on the 40 pounds---it's a really great accomplishment!

I haven't been reading any of the theory stuff---I tried reading Galadriel Waters book a long time ago but never really go into it. I'm going to BN with my new sister-in-law to push innocent children out of the way to get my copy at midnight---I'm way excited. For the longest time I was so scared that JKR was going to die before the final book was finished....but wahoo it's almost here!

OK, so I did TERRIBLE on the night of the lock-in. To be expected, back on track today. I was at 177.4 after the lock in, but that's got to be artificially high, there is no way in two days I consumed 18,000 calories ;-) I look forward to seeing what it is tomorrow after everything has had a bit of time to process.

I thought abouot you Saturday night - I went to a restaurant out by the rosemont convention center in Chicago and there happned to be an Anime Convention and scads and scads of people in costume - and not one as cute as youo were in youor outfit you designed :)

Howdy!!! I am sorry the lock in went downhill but in the long run it's not going to hurt you!! I am back on track too after a weekend of heavy eating as well  Hope you have a great week and wrangle those 3lbs down and maybe several more;)

Hey, yeah I'm sorry the lock in didn't go as well as planned, but hey, such is life. I'm sure you'll get back down again!

BTW - I have no idea what you were talking about when you were talking about those theories and stuff, lol.

Hey everybody - it's been a while.

I actually haven't been here in so long because I've been preoccupied. We just hired a new senior pastor and he let me know two weeks ago that they were going to be doing away with my position. I've spent the last two weeks finding a new job and eating nonstop.

My new job is only a half mile away from my current apartment. I am going to be walking for the next couple of days, then start bike riding once my bike gets back from the shop. I'm moving further away from it this month but will try to keep bike riding. The summer will be tough but it would be fun.

I was just getting ready to go to bed and suddenly saw a giant scorpion on my wall. OK, by giant I mean about 3 inches from claw to tail. I almost died. I just vacuumed it and put the whole vacuum outside just in case. I HATE bugs and big ones are even worse. My heart is still beating fast. I've lived in Phoenix almost all my life and this was my first scorpion encounter. <shudder>

I'll be posting more often!

I hear Llamas and Scorpions don't get along very well. YIKES!

Congratulations on the new job! I know it wasn't an expected change in your life, but I hope it has a few real good surprises for you and that you end up having a great summer. Sounds like you've got a plan with your bike and walking to work. I look forward to seeing more of your posts.

Hey you!

A scorpion?! flippin eck! The worst we get here in tame old england is slugs lol!

Well done on finding another job so quickly :jump:

Glad you were able to find another job so fast!! It must of been stressful to hear you had no more position! Breaking out the bike sounds fun! I haven't been bike riding in so long!! Good luck with your new job and the new start!! Look forward to hearing from you soon!!

I'm sorry you lost your other job, but I'm really glad you were able to get a new one fast! YAY!

It's nice walking to work, I just did that today. Soon as I get a bike (which I hope to be this week) I'm going to bike to work everyday. I can agree with you that it'll suck in the summer, but it'll be so healthy for us! WOO! Our summers can get quite hot here as well, it can be just as hot here as it gets there, it just isn't at that heat as often as you guys (thank god!) I definately hate it when it's hot, so I'm gonna suffer but it'll be a good suffer! WE CAN DO IT! lol

Mishi - we totally can do the bike thing. It creates it's own breeze!

I am the kind of person that sweats a lot, but I don't start to sweat until after I'm done doing whatever I was doing. I'm going to have to give myself a good 20 minute leeway at work to stop sweating and mop up when I move and have further to bike.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to bike the 8 or so miles to work, but I just did 6 feeling pretty good. I would have gone further but the freeway cut off my route. I"M SO EXCTIED!

In Phoenix bike riding is really looked down on. It's like riding the bus - only something you do if you're too poor to own a car. If you're not wearing skin tight clothing with sponsor logos everybody thinks "oh - that poor person who has to ride a bike!" So I'm thinking of getting one of those One Less Car shirts. :)

My new job has a trip reduction program that enters employees who carpool, walk, or bike to work in a drawing each month for $50. That would be fun.

The other advantage to bike riding is that I'll only have the food at work that I brought with me and will be unable to run out to buy more. The snack bar at the church is no longer a daily temptation!

I plan to get on here again more. My new work doesn't let me surf the internet (instead I'm doing real work now!), so I have to find a new time to make it on here.
