Lisa's Master Cleanse

I love the articulate language when you were describing your trance state, I started laughing out loud while reading it :)

Congratz on the job! Where are you going, if you don't mind me asking....

lol thanks and If you mean by where am I going, where will I be working, its the movie theater. :)

I gave up on job hunting and just asked for my old job back at the movie theater which I start Friday. I like it there, though...you get to see lots of free movies :) and I still know a bunch of people who work there so that will be fun. The pay isn't great, but I'm just going to try to work a bunch of hours, plus I'm babysitting for 3 people this summer, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I'm going to feel a little weird cause I will be one of the oldest people working there (I'm only 19, but still...lol). And I guess I feel like I should have a more inspiring job that will look good on a resume for law school, but I figure I can do that next summer. Its an easy job that I'm good at and I can make my own schedule.....thats good enough for me :)

I didn't weigh myself this morning!!!! lol im pretty proud of myself.

Yesterday was fine really.....nothing big to comment on detox wise. I just toted my gross lemonades around with me and chugged them when necessary. I am still always a little bit tired, but that might just be me being a slacker cause its summer lol.

This morning has been good so far. I actually just woke up about an hour ago so I have only had the salt water, which went down fine- its really amazing to me how much easier it is to drink now than it was the first day. I can't believe I'm on day 8. I haven't eaten for the past 7 days!!!???!!! lol that sounds weird. Today I am going to go to the store to get my last set of lemons for my lemonade and I'm going to get oranges/organic fresh orange juice for my first day off the fast. It doesn't really feel like thats a day off lol, drinking only orange juice, but I guess it is. I can also have a salad the first night off the fast. The next day I get orange juice, salad, and vegetable soup. After that I just re-introduce foods slowly.

But anyways, i'll go buy that stuff today and run a few errands. Then I need to just FORCE myself to finish unpacking from when I moved home lol. I know, I Know, I moved home like 3 weeks ago.....I'm HORRIBLE at unpacking. But I have accumulated a lot at college so I have to go through my room and get rid of/store in boxes the things that I don't need so that I have room in my dresser, closet, and bookshelf for the things I need now. That is why it is taking so long. I have boxes scattered all over my room with stuff to store and get rid of, then I have my boxes and suitcases of stuff I brought home from school in the living room (my mom is not happy about it lol). But first I want to re-arrange the furniture in my room cause I'm not a fan of the current set-up. So, thats the plan for today....I guess I better get going on that lol.

End of day 8:

Well the unpacking didn't go so well lol. I really am bad at this stuff. I did get some stuff in my room moved around, though.

I only had 6 cups of the lemonade today....I just really wasn't very hungry. And the food cravings weren't too bad today either.

Tomorrow I am taking my friends little sister out to eat at Macaroni Grill......so this will be the second time I will have to sit there and watch someone eat at a restaurant lol. I really am craving eggplant parmigian when I get done with this thing (I will just have to watch the portion). I won't be able to eat that for a while though, cause my body won't be ready for dairy yet (I am going to try to avoid dairy a lot anyways). But yeah....that will be torture tomorrow. If she decides to get cheesecake I may just shoot myself right there :p .

Anyways....only 2 more days....that doesn't sound bad at all. I know I said this yesterday, but it really is weird to think that I haven't eaten in 8 days. I am going to try really hard not to weigh myself in the morning.

Hi Lisa, I'm so glad you're posting about your cleanse! I decided to start mine yesterday morning and it seems to be going well. I couldn't find sea salt anywhere at the grocery store, so I bought regular uniodized salt- I'm going to start the saltwater flushes tomorrow morning and I'm hoping it works the same! I think it's good enough to stick with the 10 days now.. 10 days is hard enough! Good luck with your last 2 days :)

Hey, another master cleanser!!! yay!

If you have a health food store anywhere near you I would go and try to find the celtic gray sea salt. The sea salt really makes a huge difference, especially in taste. I'm not sure what other uses it has, but I definitely know the taste is much milder and more palletable (though I still have trouble with it).

Anyways, let me know if you have any questions. I went to your diary and you seem pretty knowledgeable about all you are doing, but I'm here to (try) to offer advice on this thing if you need it :)

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! I've been boycotting the Sun Harvest store I've been going to because the people there are never, ever nice or friendly to me. I'll get out and try to find some sea salt somewhere tomorrow though!

*crossing fingers the saltwater flush won't kill me!*

lol that's funny

let me know how the flush goes for you.

Day 9:

Today has been the best day by far. I have lots of energy, I feel happy and my cravings haven't been too bad (even when I was watching people eat at Macaroni Grill). Actually I have only had 1 1/2 glasses of the lemonade. I know I need to drink more, its just I'm not really hungry and I don't like the taste lol. I went to Whole Foods today and bought my stuff to come off the cleanse....organic orange juice (I know I should squeeze them myself, but I am so sick of juicing things), some good salad dressing to eat with my salad, and lots and LOTS of veggies to make a yummy vegetable soup. I also got a bunch of stuff for the days after that when I do raw vegan....lots of fruits, nuts, avacados, etc... It all looks really yummy, but its nice knowing I only have one more day.

I forgot to put another jug of water in the fridge last night so this morning I only had room temperature water to make my salt water flush with.....it was not pleasant. I definitely prefer it with cold water. I only have one salt water flush left to do!!! its kind of sad lol....almost like the end of the school year.........you've been through and learned so much.....hahaha. I'm waaaay too sentimental.

Anyways, my tummy is starting to growl now so I guess I'll go make another glass of that god-forsaken stuff. :p

My saltwater flush this morning wasn't too bad, though it tasted disgusting! I had to fight to keep my gag reflex from making me spew that stuff everywhere! I've been hungry today and my back is killing me :drooling: I hope your last day tomorrow goes well!

yeah, after my first time doing the salt water flush, I didn't know if I could make it through them, but they do get easier. I gagged soooo much the first few times I did it.

I'm sorry to hear you are hungry and your back hurts. I think I have gotten used to the feeling of being hungry, so it doesn't bother me anymore...I don't even notice. Just drink the lemonade as much as you can, it really does help hunger and cravings. That's weird about your back. I read about other people getting that as a sign of detox, but I never did. I hope that feels better soon.

aww, thanks!! You're so nice :) I have a mild case of scoliosis and my back usually bothers me when I go without eating for anything over a few hours. I'm about to go for a walk because exercise usually helps it feel better.

Oh, and I know what you mean about moving-- I'm an army brat, and I'm currently at my 15th address! I've come to love moving to new places, but the packing and unpacking are such a drag!! Hope you're all situated now!

I didn't get to put an update for day 10 cause it was CRAZY lol with work and then babysitting....I didn't get to sit down all day. But day 10 went off without a hitch and I had plenty of energy at work.

Well...today is my first day off the cleanse. First I'll do the stats. I know that I will gain back a few of the pounds initially because of water weight and things re-settling in my body. So, I am not going to change my ticker until I get to a more stable weight (maybe in 2 days or so).

Starting Weight:
246.5lbs

Todays weight:
232lbs

Total loss: 14.5lbs

Measurements
Starting thigh: 31.5in
Ending thigh:30in
inches lost: 1.5in

Starting hips: 52in
Ending hips:50.5in
inches lost: 1.5in

Starting waist: 38in
Ending waist: 35in
Inches lost: 3in!!!!

Starting Belly button area:47in
Ending belly button area: 45in
Inches lost: 2in

Total Inches Lost: 8inches!!!

Well I have to say I am happy with the overall results. Obviously I am happy with the weight loss results, but I am also happy with how the cleanse made me feel. I have much more confidence in myself now that I can resist foods. My mind feels a lot less groggy. My skin has cleared up a lot. And I definitely felt a lot happier on the later days of the cleanse.

Thanks everyone for reading this journal. I guess I will go back to my old one now, or possibly just start a new one....I'll be around lol.

:eek2: Wow! Great results, Lisa! I really think that if you stick to eating lots of raw foods, you'll be able to keep that weight off. Wow, that really inspires me to keep on it!! Thanks again for sharing with us!
