Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

Lisa I'm so very proud of you! Fuckin AWESOME job this week. Not only did you get into your exercise and realize you need to add that into your little plan, but you also bought some REAL foods like fruit rather than stuff filled with chemicals. Then on top of all that you've really been diligent about your calories and finding ways to minimize things. And hubby can just get on board kicking and screaming hehe. Antyways..once the Spring hits you'll really be able to enjoy your walks more. That's the perfect exercise for you right now!

Lisa, that was the best post EVER!!!!

Not a big fan of enigma though... Hey what ever it takes though right? Damn it girl, take no prisoners!!! Get out walk, do whatever it takes. Doesn't it feel nice to get out? I cycled outdoors today and got covered in mud, but it felt great!!!

You are doing so well hun... :hug2:

Way to go girl!!!Im soooo proud of you.Actually as I sit here and read this im debating over exercising...we all know me and usually i cave in and exercise, Heh heh heh...unsure yet what, bu ti should do some 10 min trainers and the bike of course but who knows...really just depends...

I enjoyed chatting with your yesturday as well:)!!!

Great job on the walk!!!! What a great way to stop and smell the roses!! When I was younger, I would never run/walk around the neighborhood because I thought people would judge me. So I would always drive to the park and do my workouts. However, now that I live in a city, I could care less. In fact, one of my friends saw me and said "hey I saw you running. Do you want to walk around together or go to the park soon?" It wasn't that they were making fun of me, but wanted to join me!!! One of my fittest friends I have, her and I walk around the park by me on nice days for an hour or two just catching up. Nothing is better than being outside and enjoying it, especially if there are sidewalks.

So, in conclusion (!!) you are DOING AWESOME! These last 10 wks should be a breeze for you. Also, look at it this way, you have changed your lifestyle so much and you are so much healthier for it in ways you cannot even see. Reach around, and pat yourself on the back because you are already healthier this birthday than last!!!!

I leave to watch a movie and come back to tons of awesome posts! But I'll have to catch up tomorrow cuz that walk wore off and now I'm SUPER relaxed, lol. I fell asleep in the chair :X. So just gonna post my calories and then get some sleep...probably some really GOOD sleep too :)

:hurray:Good Job Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!! You truly are doing awesome!!:hurray: I'm so happy for you.. and YES 2lbs a week does add up..As long as your losing some days may be better than others.. I'm really excited for you.. You just motivated me to jump on the elliptical right now.. :cheers2:

Lisa,

Awesome on that walk! It's exciting, isn't it? 2 pounds a week isn't that bad! There have been people on the Biggest Loser that has lost 1 or 2 pounds in a week- but that was with excessive exercising and with a personal trainer on their backs at all times. :)

Sophia- nice to find another enigma fan :) Unfortunately stuff came up today and I didn't get a chance to get out before it got dark. Lily's doin good. She's only got a small incision from being fixed but the worst part was having her dewclaws on her back feet removed. The incisions are huge and after we got home today she managed to pull a bandage off so we had to go right back in. The good thing is this time they gave me some pain/anti-inflammatory meds for her, which I would have thought they should have given me the first time. But anyway the bad part is she has to wear an E-collar. It's clear and she looks like an adorable space puppy but she's not too happy about it. I'll post pics soon as I get a chance, you won't be disappointed :)

- Thanks, me too. I just had alot of bad experiences in the past but maybe around here will be different. Or maybe I'll still face some jerks but if overall it's not bad I can deal with it.

Hey Claudia, thanks :) Hubby discovered and bitched about the bread tonight, lol. I told him to stuck it up or dig his moldy white bread out of the trash. He said that's ok, lol.

Karl, Cerella, and Buckeye, thanks so much for the support :)

And Ivette, wow that I motivated somebody ELSE, lol thanks :)

Sorry my responses got shorter and shorter. It's just been SUCH a long day and I'm very tired but I really appreciate all of you :)

And George, you're right. I guess though I just keep thinking as much as I weigh right now I should be able to lose 2-3 pounds a week and I'll have a tough enough time later. But at the same time I'm consistantly going down, not yo-yo-ing so that's something anyway.

I weighed in at 1.2 pounds less today. That's only a bit over a pound but I looked and last time I weighed was 5 days ago. I actually looked back at how much I've lost total in January and February though and it's 24 pounds in 7 weeks..which averages out to 3.4 pounds a week. So that made me happy :) Four more pounds though and I'll be at 40 pounds lost...can't wait!

Food today:

dried fruit-100
peach-65
rice cakes-245

cheeseburger x2-1164
tater tots-170
ketchup-30

s/f pudding-60

Total-1834

And all the A-holes must have been too cold to have their windows down cuz nobody hollered at me. In fact the guy I saw running on my way too the store was going up the hill as I was heading home and he looked over and waved. Seriously he doesn't know how that made my day...I pictured him being like one of the forum guys here and was nice to get support in the community instead of "fat ass" yelled out a car window.

End result, I WALKED 30 FULL MINUTES TODAY, and at a steady nice pace

Awwwwww!!!!
:hurray: :hurray: :hurray: :hurray:

YAY! Hey, coincidence: I went running this evening and did NOT want to. Then it was much better, I just had to throw on my exercise clothes. It was like an automatic reaction or something. AND LOL on the post, I'm so happy for you!

Oh hell yes!!!!!!

I just kinda noticed a weird pattern. I was looking back on my weight loss ticker and last June I got down to 327 doing low carb, then fell off the wagon and gained back to 338. Then in August I was at it again and dropped down to 329 by October...must have been some screw ups in there for only ten pounds lost. I think I was just starting to try to not doing low-carb and off to a rough start but October is when I quit again and went right back up to 338. This time when I restarted I've approached it alot more practical and I've lost more weight in a shorter time than any of the other times. And the greatest part...I got past the high 320's and kept right on losing this time without stopping. So I already figured out I'm losing more on average than I thought but even if I wasn't, I'm still doing WAY better than I did last year. So even if I don't think I'm losing as much as I should be at times, the fact I'm still losing is the important part :)

Thanks Val :) I'm getting off to a rough start on the exercise cuz I didn't get in any today with bringing the puppy home and then her getting her bandages off and having to go back in. But I figure I didn't start the diet part off perfect either and I'll get in the swing of it here. I was just so happy and amazed I was able to walk as far as I did. I felt like it was a huge accomplishment considering how hard it's been for me previously at my higher weights. Finally starting to feel BETTER!!!

Oh and here's a random thought. I think all stores should carry the 100 calorie snack packs in INDIVIDUAL packages for sale...and put them up by the candybars! I don't want to buy a whole box and bring it home cuz then I'll EAT the whole box. It's not 100 calories THEN!! And if I was going to a movie or had a chocolate craving, being able to grab a 100 calorie pack of cookies or something would be great. And I'm sure they'd make a killing with all the people trying to watch their waist line out there. Ok I'm off to bed now, gnite :)

Word up, you're a genius, why haven't people started doing that???? Stupid asses! Goodnight sweetie :)

Thanks Val :) I lied though...or not exactly but I didn't go to bed, lol. I got my second wind and have been scrubbing my kitchen. I peeled 10 pounds of potatoes earlier while hubby and I were watching a movie and somehow thought after cooking them I'd finish tomorrow. But at that point I was like why not just do it now? So I have 9 containers of mashed potatoes sealed up with my seal a meal and in my freezer...that's NINE MEALS I don't have to peel potatoes for. YAY!!! Plus if I'd done it tomorrow with cold potatoes it'd have been harder to mix everything in. They were still hot this way and it was super easy to stir 'em up and batch 'em out. Just the sealing has taken a while. I know I ramble but man do I ramble when I'm tired and running on nervous energy :X.

It looks like you are a busy busy bee! I'm glad you have a great approach to this and are maintaining a loss. :D And they should totally do that 100 calorie pack thing... and the candybar place would be the best place... and honestly, they would probably make more money off of them! For all the health-conscious people who are snacky.

Hahaha I have this image in my head of you peeling potatoes and it is cracking me up! My grandmother (God rest her soul) was Hungarian and would be so cute peeling potatoes. She was the only person I ever saw peel mass amounts of potatoes. Good for you working ahead! Sometimes I make meals in advance for the week so it is easier. Last night I made TONS of pasta so I can just take out a cup and throw it into any dish and instant good carbs!

AMAZING job with the weightloss! You'll be trucking through into the 100's in no time!

:biggrinjester:24 pounds in 7 weeks is awesome!!!! That's what I need to do!!! :) You really are doing amazing and this time just don't give up
!!!!! don't!!! You can do this girly I know you can... We can do this and It's kinda scary though hah?? I get scared when I think of really making it to the bikini.. Then I feel like eating again:piggy: No but I know we can do this and we deserve.. Let's make it to the finish line!!!!!!!!!!!!!WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Lily

Puppy pics as promised :)

First pic she's riding in the shopping cart at the pet store. Next same store sniffing treats. 3rd pic she's sporting her new hair-do. The last two she's sporting an E-collar cuz she was a bad girl and tore her bandages off :X. She looks so sad but too cute, lol.
