Lisa's Final Countdown, The Good Days, the Bad, & the Ugly

Doesn't it just suck that fruit has to have calories!? I always found that to be a huge rip off, like bananas, they're in the 100 calorie range but by looking at them, no one would ever suspect....oh well, least they're good for ya. And least veggies don't work that way!

I forget, are you doing WW's? [you mentioned the flex plan and such so..] I <3 WW's.

WOOHOO for the one pound loss, every bit helps and every pound lost gets you closer and closer to your goal!!
 
I've done WW's before and have all the stuff for it but I get more out of the forum here then I ever did from WW meetings. And the points are cool but calories are easier for me right now cuz I can just google stuff if I need to for calories. But I did steal their "flex points" idea kinda. I'm allowing myself 2000 calories a day. If I eat under 1900 calories I'm letting myself save those up since I notice some days I don't eat alot and others I do. It's a way for me to balance stuff out without getting frustrated. Plus I found this way I don't just eat for the sake of eating because I have a number of calories left in my head. I noticed skinny people have pig out days then hardly eat at all the next day or so.

I'm still testing this out though and I've found that on days I eat to low of calories I'm just setting myself up for disaster the next day so we'll see if I can find an ok balance. Still losing weight though :) I'm down another .4 pounds from yesterday even....I just wanted to check and see if I really was down below 315, lol. Yesterday was 314.8, today is 314.4.

i am doing WW and I am finding I can look up points pretty much anywhere on line..I am also subscribing to the WW E tools...a little pricey but I have lost 17 pounds so I guess its worth the money..

Yeah I've definitely noticed this too... for example my dad and my ex are both like that. My ex is a stick no matter what he eats but I noticed that, unlike MYSELF, he will have a pizza blowout and then the next day still be full from it, to the point he'll eat very little so it all balances out in the end. So this flexi point system seems a good idea, deffo.

Just wanted also to say congrats for all these pounds you are losing -- you're doing a great job!

And even if you're counting points, your menu still sounds kinda yummy :) (mine is soooo boring cos I just have zero imagination).

Nah I'm just counting calories. I've done points before too and I know there's a conversion factor to figure points on anything. Just personal preference and works for me right now to count calories but maybe if I get sick of that I'll switch to points again.

As far as eating I'm not doing anything special. I try to find low cal things that fill me up in the day and fill in between with fruit alot. Then other than that dinner is about pleasing the hubby, lol. And he's been pretty happy the last two months with me cooking every night and us not getting fast food. In fact he brought me home a rose today....JUST because. He NEVER does that! And said he appreciated all the cooking, lol.

So yea....I really don't miss the fast food. Occasionally I want taco bell but I got some last night cuz I wanted a burrito supreme and had the calories. I was seriously disappointed though cuz it tasted like crap.

That's the problem with the fast food though...we pay so dang much for it anymore but we never know if what we're going to get each time is going to even be edible. Sometimes it's great, other times half the order is screwed up or missing. Most the time it's over cooked or half cooked and still frozen in the middle. The breakfast sandwiches I've been buying in the frozen food section taste alot like a BK croissanwich but they taste consistantly good cuz I'm controlling the microwave, lol.

Anyway still no soda. I wanted one today but not really bad. Unfortunately I realized after I made some iced tea that the bags I have are decaff so maybe that's why. Probably part of my headache too, lol.

So here's my food today. I've been kinda keeping track as the day goes on but I've gotten a feel for what about 2000 calories is portion wise I think.

OH and you guys are all wonderful :) Thanks so much for coming by and I'll catch up with everyone's journals soon so I can see how ya'll are doin. I'm just really tired and have to work night shift tonight. My face hurts too like I'm having alot of sinus pressure and I really hope I'm not getting sick AGAIN. I completely agree with you about WW. I get more out of this forum than I EVER did with them. It is just too sterile and too cookie cutter. I needed something outside of the box and this forum is just that. Great people who are struggling just like I am and seeing results.

I hope you are doing well with the calorie balance! You are doing awesome, celebrate every loss no matter how big or small!!!!!

Keep it up with those flex calories and stay with it!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, LOL.. I'm sorry to break it to you, but all the pizzas from Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Little Caesars', Dominos, and other such places... Are loaded with calories. It's just the nature of pizza.

The only way you could reduce it, is to cook it yourself at home, using whole wheat as dough... Use MINIMAL amount of pasta sauce, and a SPRINKLE of lowfat mozzarella cheese. Even then, it'd be kinda higher than what you'd get eating something else. :(

1110 seemed on the low side to me.
 
It was veggie pizza and I only had 3 pieces, lol. And I paid dearly for it because I was sick all night at work and running for the bathroom. I love Papa John's thin crust and that would have been way less calories but their regular crust always makes me sick ;/. Guess that's what I get for not cooking. This week I really gotta get stuff predone up for Monday and Tuesday. I just don't feel like cooking and making a huge mess in my kitchen when I have to work night shift both those nights. Again...me and not getting ORGANIZED!!!
 
I think it's cruel that veggie pizza can clock in, in the 1,000s. Damn misleading names :( Do you get sick from the grease or what? I knw I can't eat pizza hut pizza [well I can but it'd just be torture] cause I always get sick, WAY too much grease, but I've never bought Papa John's so, the real question is, is their pizza good? lol.
