Anna, I'm totally up for the WLF get together, I posted that before in my diary, but as life does so many times I've been way to busy to work out any plans for one yet, but I WILL! I have to agree with you on the gift buying for yourself to celebrate that you have made it this far with the boys, I feel exactly the same way. Ups and downs, and I'm not talking about my weight this time. It was very hard being a single parent, but worth ever minute of it. I hope your yoga class works out well and doesn't put any unnecessary strain on your neck. I bet your arms are looking sexy girlfriend!! Keep it up!

Yes, it does take a different walking style with these fancy wancy shoes. Not sure I have the hang of it yet.

Ah, that's super you're thinking a get together. I know some of us would travel to meet ...

Yoga frustrated me tonite so I only did 30 minutes. It was a third kind, Vinyasa and I just didn't want to learn new poses where I topple over due to lack of balance. It's too hot for that nonsense. lol

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge, medium apple
Lunch; Egg salad sandwich on brown, 1 oz. pumpkin seeds, 2 cups raw veggies
Snack; .5 cup yogurt with 2 tbsp Mueslix cereal
Supper; 5 oz fish, 1.5 tbsp tartar sauce, 2 cups lettuce, 1 tbsp low fat dressing
Dessert; freezie pop

I walked Rufus for a half hour after my television show. Feel kind of bummed tonight. It's coming up on my two year anniversary where my DE and I split and it's also because lately we're emailing back and forth a little re: the script. There's a possibility we have to sit down together to cut some scenes. This will be difficult for me because it's harder for the person who didn't want the relationship to end. As immature as he is, and as sure I am that he cannot be a suitable life partner, I did love him for many reasons and it's sad he doesn't have the capacity for love which I wish he had. I have to just accept he is limited and accept him for who he is. I can do it, but it's a reminder of how incredibly stupid he was to throw me aside. And I don't mean that conceitedly, he really is a dunse. LOL

I think it is so brave of you to try out yoga and all the different adaptations of it. I still haven't tried it because it really does scare me, I can accept that I can't do everything I want to be able to do with weights or whatever because I simply can't, but I hate not being able to do the things with my body that I wish I could do, such as fold up into a sexy pretzel while walking on my hands. Soon you'll be able to!

I think that you probably intimidate most men and he sounds like an interesting attractive enigmatic person, but that makes it all the more sad for him that he doesn't have it in him to sustain a relationship. But I know that you have ALL of those qualities AND the capacity to love- I feel sad for him. Aww you probably didn't want to get too much into it...BUT you're the best, I hope you don't get too down and I hope that you're having a lovely night.

Oh Sara, you sure made me feel ever so good with your kind words...thank you ... life is interesting. He wanted back but I couldn't do it, so I am indeed making a choice in all this. I always go back to the fact commitment is not in his vocabulary. And he sacrifices financial stability, something I'm not willing to do. Thanks again you dear heart.

went to the gym tonite (not ready to be humiliated at yoga again LOL) and did the elliptical for 40 minutes, my upper body weights and sit-ups...twas fun.

And I think that you have it exactly right. You can love someone wholeheartedly and accept all of their attributes but to be able to do so without continuing a relationship with them out of love for yourself... I'd imagine it would be super difficult to accomplish. I'm hungry right now though and I could very well be rambling. I'm going to go eat haha

Hey Anna, I'm a corporate lawyer and I've also done a fair amount of entertainment law so maybe I can be of help to a friend.

Do you have a written agreement with the guy in LA? If so is it exclusive and does it have a termination provision (such as a notice requirement or does the agreement automatically terminate on a specified date or after a certain time period in which he fails to place the script)? If there is an agreement I'll take a quick look and let you know what your options are to **terminate** this guy!

If no agreement exists then give him notice by email and perhaps followed up with a letter sent by certified mail that you are terminating any arrangement you may have had with him to market your screenplay.

A compromise may be that you enter into a nonexclusive agreement with him so that if you or another marketer places the screenplay then he is not entitled to any compensation. In any event, the agreement should clarify that you have final authority to decide to go with an offer/director or not.

Hi Sara; Flax tastes sweet to me and yes, it's full of good fats. Even my sons like it.

Thanks Blancita, I sent him a registered letter advising we no longer require his services since that's all the contract requires. That's great you've got entertainment law experience. I may have a question or two for you down the road

ABSO-Facking-LUTELY!! You and your brood are welcome here anytime, Liz! I mean that. But wait until I move to Vancouver because that would be a holiday worth flying all the way over to Canada for. I'd hate for you all to come to the prairies. I'd like to be able to show you more than an occasional bald eagle or coyote. I mean it's so flat here if your dog runs away, you can still see him running the next day. In Vancouver I could organize a trip to the ocean, to the forest for a hike, downtown shopping, a good restaurant, etc. And of course we would just visit our brains out and all hit the gym. We could go kayaking or cycling. And we could most definitely have the freedom to go our own way for part or much of the time, whatever fancy hits us. Of course if you come, I will definitely dye my hair for the occasion!

On Top Chef, one of the few moderately watchable reality shows, a recent episode had the chefs reinventing family favorites - one of them was tuna casserole (something that stillgives me nightmares from friday dinners as a kid)

the reinvented tuna casserole was way too green for my liking but on top of it for crunch, instead of buttered bread crumbs or potato chips, which is the norm, the chef made a Flax Crisp.



Flax Crisp:
1 cup Golden Flaxseed
1/2 cup Black Sesame seeds
1 egg white

In a mixing bowl add flax and sesame and 3 T of water. Season and stir. Allow to sit for 1-2 hours. Spread on a silpat lined sheet tray and flatten out to about 1/8” thick. Allow to dry over night.

With a brush, gently spread egg white on top evenly on crisp. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until set. Dry and portion.

Forgot to tell you guys, in ten days (but who's counting) I'm off to the Okanagon to camp by a gorgeous little lake with all my siblings and our kids, and I'm bringing my little brother, Rufus this time. My fuzzy bear. One of these days I'll figure out how to put pics of him in my diary. He's so lovely. My brother got 2 puppies from the same breeder as Rufus and all three dogs are going in a kennel a few miles from our campground so we can walk them every day. I'm just so happy Rufus will be in the car with us all the way. He absolutely LOVES to be with us.

A camping trip sounds like fun!I went for 2 days a couple weeks ago with 4 kids thats all I can do until my youngest gets to be lil older lol.Puppies awwww I am so jealous I ant a boxer pup for my Winston to play with and for me to add another walking buddy.
