Lili's Diary

Hey, good job on the .25! Hehe, hey it's something :) I change my ticker when I notice I went down and it's stayed down for a few days, whether it's half a pound or more, I like seeing the difference. I don't know how you can wait! You're like, 2 pounds less from what your ticker says!

Anyways, have a great weekend, I gotta go to my lower body class (with already sore legs, AHH!) lol.

Thanks Risty and Curvie...
We be jammin' at my house tonight. Downstairs my son is playing drums and his friend, the electric guitar, and they sound good.

Food gods ruled today so I am not going to log food. But I went to the gym and did 60 minutes hill climbing on the elliptical trainer and walked my little black bro for a couple miles. I probably broke even on energy in/out and won't lose or gain pounds today.

I'm thinking of a 2nd job this summer ... maybe do some waitressing on the weekends. I can save for my next trip and it will prevent me from eating stupid on the weekend. Here's some places I wanna go:
Mexico (again)
Cuba
Dominican Republic
European Mediterranean (Spain, France, Monaco, Italy, Montenegro, Greece)
Southern USA (Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California)
New York
I'll probably make it back to Mexico before I go to any of the other places.

Oooo. Nice vacation dreams. You are going to have fun making progress on that list I'm sure.

Congratulations on some well deserved weight loss. I'm one of those who would have to move the ticker!! :D However, it will be great to celebrate 150 - it's so close now.

It must be great to have some good live music playing in your house, too. :0

Yup, I also want to go to Cuba and the DR..I love the spanish caribbean. I've been to Puerto Rico a few times but its like I'm there when I'm around H's family anyway..they're all Boriquas. Look me up when in New York :).

You seem really knowledgeable about weight loss, and I've been plateauing for a month now, so maybe you could take a look at my journal and let me know if you have any ideas for me? I had been hoping to reach my goal by summer..ha ha.

Nice to meet you :)!

Nice vacation destinations. Not too sure which one you should start off with. But they all sound dreamy. Anyway, I was just dropping in to say hello and have a nice week.

Yeah, I agree they all sound like wonderful places to go to! The only places I've ever been (in my adult years) is the US (washington and arizona). When I was really young we went to Italy, I only remember bits and pieces. I want to go back one day so I can see everything and be able to remember everything. I also want to go to Japan and France. I love Japanese everything! I love their culture, their food, their anime! LOL... And I want to go to Italy and France because my mom's french and my dad's italian. Our family isn't in france (it's in Quebec, Canada) which I will also visit one day, but I'd love to see the european french too in France. ANYWAYS, enough of my ramblings on my trips I want to take, lol. I really hope that if you want a second job that you will be able to get one and enjoy it! I have enough of one, I couldn't imagine a second, lol.

I use my summers to motivate me throughout the year. I feel so sorry for the families at my school who just found out there will be school this summer. Its going to ruin a lot of trips that have already been booked.

Ohh, school instead of vacations, Cannon....that's bad.

Today I felt happy I could jog 5 km out on the dirt road in the country. My dog loves it out there. Hill climbing on the elliptical trainer must have made me stronger than I realized because I was sure I wouldn't be able to do 5 km. It was sunny, blue sky and a cool breeze, perfect jogging conditions.

Tonight I had mom over for supper because tomorrow she's leaving for a 2 month trip, Italy, Switzerland, Italy, Mediterranean cruise for 10 days, Holland sailing with her sister for a week, followed by a month with a friend in Holland. Hello!!

Our family isn't in france (it's in Quebec, Canada) which I will also visit one day, but I'd love to see the european french too in France.

Quebec is really beautiful, lots of very old buildings and downtown is magnificent, it's like being in Europe!

Not to belabor the travel issue, but I went to Quebec City about 20 years ago and to this day find it one of the coolest places to visit. Its like you flew across the Atlantic to Europe, yet following a rather long drive people were speaking French. That was weird to me at the time given we hadn't left the continent.

Good morning Anna!!! God trips sound so nice. Here I have summers off but am usually so strapped for cash that it is rare that I get to go on trips. I have been dying to go to Europe and I have a friend in Amsterdam I want to go and visit:) When my b/f and I get married I want a honeymoon in Europe;) Your 5k sounds wonderful with the beautiful weather. Yesterday was gorgous but unfortunatly I was under the weather:( but today I am bouncing back:D I hope you have a happy Monday and excellent ticker progress!!!

That sounds like a wonderful day - just the kind I most enjoy! It's so great that you were able to feel the reward of being able to do more after the work you put in on the elliptical.

No wonder you have travel on your mind with your mum off on a trip like that!! After stowing away, planning your own trip has to the next best option!

Hi 2Skinny

You're so much fun. Waitressing is so fabulous for getting your bum and legs in shape, and of course your arms. I've waitressed for years and the MOMENT I quit, literally, the weight piled on. I wore my pedometer to work sometimes, and I'd be shocked by the end of the night. The only negative is that I find it virtually impossible not to smoke when serving or bartending. Well not WHILE serving. But on my break, you know? I don't know if you've ever smoked but it is ridiculously difficult to quit while still working in a place where everyone smokes and you have to accomodate less than considerate people on a regular basis. That's life I suppose. I think it's a great idea though, you're obviously such a fun interesting person anyways, (Anyone can see this from reading your diary) I really think it's cool. Also, it's such a fun job as long as you work with mellow funny people. The shrill neurotic ones are the people that make a restaurant environment unbearable.

Your. food. makes. me. drool. rather impressive because all while remaining at such a low intake, and exercise, and the food sounds delicious. It just seems like you're not restricting yourself too much even though it's all healthy and you're not actually eating very much. If you can can decipher what I'm trying to say, I'm grateful and all I mean is GREAT JOB! :p

Your country jog sounds so lovely. It's like I can picture you in one of those commercials where everything looks vibrant and inspiring and the dog is laughing and running and the slim woman is running yet smiling and looks perfect and the sunlight captures the subtle highlights in her hair and she's not sweating. So then I go out to jog and it's not the picture perfect moment captured on tv. I'm cynical today, I apologize. How dare I marr your diary with my negative thoughts. This is what I meant to say....you've inspired me to go get on my treadmill. Thanks ;) Keep up all the wonderful things you're already doing, and have a great night.
