I completely understand about being side-tracked by little kids...I remember that when mine were little. I have a lot of respect for your determination. I had fried mushrooms, green peppers, & onions, lettuce, tomato, pineapple and feta cheese on my pita with chicken.
Excellent day woman! Shows a lot of determination.
Thanks Blancita...does your name mean white chick? ha ha I'm not Italian or French but remember blanc means white...
Wow 1440 calories? I admire your sheer willpower, you are pimpin' the blood outta your self-control, ye-ah!
lol me be pimpin' You crack me up. :D

Hi 2Skinny
You're so much fun. Waitressing is so fabulous for getting your bum and legs in shape, and of course your arms. I've waitressed for years and the MOMENT I quit, literally, the weight piled on. I wore my pedometer to work sometimes, and I'd be shocked by the end of the night. The only negative is that I find it virtually impossible not to smoke when serving or bartending. Well not WHILE serving. But on my break, you know? I don't know if you've ever smoked but it is ridiculously difficult to quit while still working in a place where everyone smokes and you have to accomodate less than considerate people on a regular basis. That's life I suppose. I think it's a great idea though, you're obviously such a fun interesting person anyways, (Anyone can see this from reading your diary) I really think it's cool. Also, it's such a fun job as long as you work with mellow funny people. The shrill neurotic ones are the people that make a restaurant environment unbearable.

Your. food. makes. me. drool. rather impressive because all while remaining at such a low intake, and exercise, and the food sounds delicious. It just seems like you're not restricting yourself too much even though it's all healthy and you're not actually eating very much. If you can can decipher what I'm trying to say, I'm grateful and all I mean is GREAT JOB! :p

Your country jog sounds so lovely. It's like I can picture you in one of those commercials where everything looks vibrant and inspiring and the dog is laughing and running and the slim woman is running yet smiling and looks perfect and the sunlight captures the subtle highlights in her hair and she's not sweating. So then I go out to jog and it's not the picture perfect moment captured on tv. I'm cynical today, I apologize. How dare I marr your diary with my negative thoughts. This is what I meant to say....you've inspired me to go get on my treadmill. Thanks ;) Keep up all the wonderful things you're already doing, and have a great night.

Wow, Luke...this post was overwhelming. Thank you for your support. It couldn't have come at a better time. I have had some health problems and was feeling kind of down. I had blood in my stool & pain in my duodenum which is likey related to my ulcer, but also other possibilities which will be ruled out by ultrasound and other tests this week. So your post really made my day. When I jog, I am anything but smiling or pretty! lol I sweat buckets. And I'll never forget someone telling me "you know why I never jog?" and I said "why?" and he goes, "because you never see them smiling". lol True that. That's cuz we're too busy trying to BREATH.

Hi Anna,

Just made my way through your diary. I've noticed our weight loss goals are very similar. Your consistency in balancing food and workout is admirable. I'm sure you will reach your long term goals.

By the way, vacation last summer was Dominican Republican. Wonderful, great, fun, relaxing...........and absolutely beautiful country and warm people. You will have a great time when you get there!

I'm trying to get my "avator" to be a photo from DR but the upload keeps failing! I know I'm in the right byte size, but no luck yet. Hopefully soon!

Thanks Blancita...does your name mean white chick? ha ha I'm not Italian or French but remember blanc means white...

Yes Miz Skinny, my H is a Boriqua (that means Puerto Rican) but I am a white chick as you noted :).

Best of luck on your tests..keep us posted. Hope you feel better soon.

Welcome Jlynne, thanks for dropping by. Thanks for telling me the DR was good, word of mouth is the best. I loved the Mexican people also so that's cool to hear the DR folks are warm. I hope to see that DR avatar!
Sure, now you waitress. Where were you when I was vacationing in Canada last year? I'm a big tipper you know :)
Well, then you better come here this summer!

Thanks so much Risty. I felt quite a bit better as the day went on and two naps really helped! :D I'm waiting for an ultrasound this Thursday.

Thanks Blancita. I'll have instant relief when they tell me they don't see anything. Had my gall bladder out, but the pancreas is being a bad boy now. I love the Spanish language and would like to immerse myself in it for a year or two.

Hi Skinny. I saw your question in Steve's diary about increasing your weights. The next weight increment is 8 pounds, so you can go to that or higher depending on what body part you're working. Its generally not great to use the same weight for your chest that you use for your smaller weaker muscles like your shoulders and triceps and biceps. So maybe go to 10 lbs and then to 12 lbs for your chest exercises and 8 lbs to 10 lbs for your shoulders and arms.

You can do any rep variation that you want. I read years ago that the tears in your muscle which cause growth happen within the first 2 sets so that the third set is unnecessary. Steve would probably disagree, but for my purposes its worked to go heavier than I can with 3 sets, but with 2. I achieved the same results that I was getting when I was doing 3. On the other hand, if someone is really trying to get buff or contest ready, maybe this 2 set thing is not workable.

When you increase weight, its OK to do less reps at first like starting with 8 and moving up to where you can do 12 to 15 before you increase the weight again. Main thing is, dont be afraid to increase the weights as often as you can handle it (for those who have their form down). I'll look forward to hearing Steve's response as well :).

Good morning Anna! I hope you are doing well! You are in my thoughts as well. I hope you are having a good week so far:)

Hello Beauties and Gents; I had my ultrasound and pancreas is being a bad boy after all. They detected a small tumor but will send me for an MRI to find out if it's benign. I am hopeful. On the upside, I met a guy who's nutso crazy over me...rather flattering. He's offered to take me to Mexico this winter...oh my gosh...could I be that lucky? I think he'd be lovely. T2!!! He's a trucker! Long, long hair and he likes to plant flowers. Awwwww, that's sweet. A trucker who plants flowers. I'm hoping I might be torrid after all.

Breakfast; One banana 110 calories, yogurt 100 calories, 1 oz. cheese 115
Lunch; Tuna sandwich 300 calories, medium apple 80 calories
Snack; cereal bar 130 calories, orange juice 240 calories
Supper; broccoli/carrot/chicken stir-fry with orange sauce 280 calories with stir-fry noodles 160 calories
Dessert; DQ fudge bar 45 calories
Total = 1560 calories

Jogged 5 km, sit-ups, core, heel raises, upper body with 8 pound weights. I could do 3 sets of 10 on most, but for three upper body exercises, I could only do 2 sets of 10 with the 8 pound weights. It felt real good to use the 8 pounders. I'm liking the definition I'm starting to see from the weight loss.

Oh Anna, I do hope the pancreatic tumor is benign! What were your symptoms?

I PMed you Deb. Spare unsuspecting visitors from anything that may make them lose their appetites. LOL Or wait. That might be a good thing. :D :D :D
