A new Day

Just dropping in to say hello. Hope you're having an awesome weekend.

Thanks for visiting my diary Funky. The weekend, as per usual, isn't quite long enough.

What I did right today
Breakfast: 340 calories oatmeal porridge
Lunch; 2 slices rye bread 130 calories, tuna 70 calories, mayo 30 calories, yogurt 100 calories
Snack; large apple 125 calories
Supper; salmon 280 calories, 3 cups romaine lettuce 25 calories, salad dressing 100 calories.
Snack; DQ fudge bar 45 calories.

No exercise...slept in until 1:30 pm and lazed around all day...needed it.
 
What a shit day

Well, I guess I needed the straw that broke the camel's back in order to finally get off my butt and DO something. My work is beyond stressful, political and annoying and I was burned out a long time ago so I decided today while driving home from a meeting out of town, that I'm taking stress leave. Long overdue. I feel like a weight's been lifted off.

What I did right today:
Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge 340 calories
Snack: large apple 125 calories
Lunch: tuna sandwich on rye with 1 tablespoon mayo 230 calories, yogurt 100calories
Supper; Pita sandwich with grilled chicken 355 calories
Total: 1145 or some such thing, math was never my strong point. I need to eat something else, when I get the energy I'll go foraging.

No exercise since I worked from 8 to 7 today and all I can do is slump on my bed like some amoeba. I wish I was an amoeba...they don't have to take any responsibility whatsoever ... those damn amoebas.

Lunch: Egg salad sandwich on brown 385 calories, 1.5 cups raw veggies & dip 100 calories
Supper: 5 oz. beef 325 calories, 1 cup mixed frozen veggies 70 calories
Total cals: 1260

Exercise; walked to work 2 miles.

Gonna watch the Oilers play the Coyotes tonight and Mark Messier's retirement celebration

Wow, Red, I almost don't feel like watching the Oilers without Ryan Smith. I felt sorry for his team mates ... I mean he was the heart. What were they thinking? I was happy for Gretz his team won tonight. I hope he has more success on the way...If his team made playoffs I'd be happy.
 
What a brilliant idea to take a stress leave - god i sooo need one of those - it's been going on three years of constant driving stress stress and more stress... my colorist loves it because he gets to keep knocking out the gray but - i tell ya... :(

Today's weird holiday is National Public Sleeping Day - a day that gives people permission to take naps whenever they want to... it's also Hump Day :)

What I "sorta" did right today and then how I blew it. LOL

Lunch; Soup 240 calories, yogurt 100 calories
Snack; whole wheat slice bread 110 calories, 2 tablespoons peanut butter 200calories, 10 cookies 600 calories HELLO.
Supper; cheeseburger and fries with tiny brownie for dessert. HELLooooooO
Total caloric intake 5,6,777,543,773,009,201 (ga-zillions in other words)
Walked to work 2 miles.

Tomorrow I am re-committed to hit the gym for my date with the elliptical trainer *a hot date* at that! Followed by sit-ups...watch for a sweaty post in the very near future (wink).
 
It was your bday 2Skinny.. Have to be allowed to spoil yourself now and then.. You do wonderful with your calorie intake every other day.. No worry.. Again Happy BD.. :rolleyes:

the DQ fudge bar is only 45 calories?! How am I only hearing about this now? <rushes off to buy one>

LOL I found out about these babies a couple years ago, from a friend who goes to Weight Watchers. And I remember thinking the same thing...excuse me? There's actually something decadent that's low in calories??? Where do I sign up? And they really are tasty, tasty, tasty.

happy b-day (late)

We have a DQ about 1/4 mile away from the office. Maybe I'll make a habit of walking down there and back, so the fudge bar will be neutralized.

Wow, I feel good today. My horoscope says new career this March...YAY!!! Can't wait for my new career to arrive. I wonder if someone will alert me to when it's arrived...?

K, What I Did Right Today (WIDRT)

Breakfast; Oatmeal porridge 260 calories
Snack: Red grapefruit 75 calories
Lunch; Soup 240 calories, yogurt 100 calories, cereal bar 130 calories
Snack; Rice Cracker 60 calories
Supper; Roast beef 4 oz. 225 calories, small potato 100 calories, 1 cup carrots 70 calories.
Total cals: 1260

Exercise; 40 minutes elliptical 510 calories, 108 sit-ups, 3 sets of 12 core strength, 3 sets of 12 heel raises, 3 sets of 12 shoulder raises, 3 sets of 10 each on 6 upper arm exercises. I don't know how many cals for those, who cares. It was a damn good workout dammit. lol

Now I'm going to watch American Idol. I love Lakisha.
