Lift, Train, Fitness

Baby and mum doing well, my daughter was born 6:07 pm on the 26th via Emergency C Section with a weight of 8 lb 2 oz at 38 weeks after going into hospital on the 24th.

I am now home from hospital but very sore, after all, a c section is considered major surgery. Having a vacuum dressing on the wound means I have to carry around a battery pack for a week connected to my belly and recovery will be slow, not allowed to drive for 6 weeks or lift anything heavier than bub.

Oh, congratulations Tru! I'm sorry you had to have a C section, but glad you & bub are OK. She's a good, healthy weight. How are you feeling? I know you are extremely fit. I hope you can get some rest & that she is a perfect sleeper in no time at all xo

What a cute little bundle! Sorry to hear you had to have surgery but very glad bub´s well and you will be. Congratulations to you and your family!

feeling sore and tired but so far so good, vacuum dressing is due to come off tomorrow, but pain makes moving around slow and difficult. Appetite is reduced, just concentrating on eating well

Good to hear the wound is healing well and you're taking care of your body's needs despite a lack of appetite. How's bub eating?

That will be good to get the vacuum dressing off Tru. I hope the pain gets lesser soon. Cheeky little guts! Every 2 hours? That sounds like our 2nd son. Being a mother is hard work. Take care xoxo

yep she is a guts, she has more than regained her birth weight already, normally takes around 2 weeks.

slept a little better last night, not having a tube hanging off my belly helped.

I like that reminder. Makes the whole thing sound a lot more healthy than popular opinion would suggest. Not my thing, because more protein just makes me want to drink gallons and gallons of water, but a friend is doing amazingly well with it.

still struggling with sleep, 2 hours is not enough to feel refreshed lol

weight is back to pre pregnancy level but body composition is way out of control after 9 months of forced inactivity and still weeks to go before I can return to doing some exercise.

2 hours would kill me. Mad respect for new moms worldwide. How´s the pain/wound? And, of course, how´s bub?

bub is happy and gaining weight.

wound pain is ok, not taking any painkillers now, healing well !

2 hours sleep would have me going up the wall! Well done on being back to pre-pregnancy weight already Tru :)
