Lift, Train, Fitness

feeling ok today

Exercise: walking

Doctor is happy with how things are going, more scans in 3 week to check for abnormalities due to my age

I have to drive hubby to Brisbane tomorrow for surgery, hopefully he will only be in hospital for 2 nights max.

Ohh are you an older mum? My friend had one at around 35 and was considering an old mum and it made her feel really sad. Hope hubby is okay xx

Sunflower I am 44, and this is a completely natural (No fertility treatments etc), if slightly unexpected pregnancy. Hubby is older than I am. He has a blocked blood vessel behind his knee which he is having surgically removed tomorrow, however he has no other problems in any of his other blood vessels, and his heart is great, he is quite fit.

Just got back from Brisbane, left home at 4:30 am this morning, was at the hospital less than 30 minutes (Parking costs a fortune) that's 6 hours driving, and I HATE driving in Brisbane, I would rather drive in any other state capital than this one :(

hope fully hubby will be out in a couple of days, then I have to make the drive all over again.

Breakfast was a bit of a dud, has a KFC twister at the rest stop on the way home, it has been over 2 years since I have eaten junk like that but was too queezy at 4:30 am to eat a propper breakfast.

I was feeling really tired earlier slept for a couple of hours, feeling much better, no nausea which is good, still need to get to the gym to coach tonight and working on putting together another seminar in partnership with the gym owner.

Work starts at the gym this weekend on a dedicated powerlifting section where we are looking at running a mock competition to go along with an information seminar. I will have to stick to coaching and judging, no Demo's for me lol

Hubby's surgery went well, surgeon phoned, said he should be able to come home Saturday.

Seriously hungry tonight, going to cook some steak now, need it after a long day.

Surgeon commented that hubbies arteries are in great condition and doesn't know why he developed a blockage which has now been sent to a lab to be examined.

I am feeling the heat super bad today, It is still morning and almost 35 degrees and supposed to reach over 40 today. I do normally feel the heat at the best of times but pregnancy makes it worse, on the up side made it into the gym this morning to coach and train, as well as getting my fortnightly shopping done before it got toooo hot.

the wind is gusty and there is a severe fire warning in place, it is sooooooo dry, we have had no rain, and despite being good with water conservation, will probably need to buy a tanker load of water next week.

Did not sleep well last night, the heat was oppressive and the fans did not help, according to my phone it was already 28 degrees when I checked at 7:30 am, it is going to be another bad one :( humidity is at almost 80% this morning.

will probably find a reason to go into town to go to the shopping centre and hope they have fixed their aircon.

on the up side, no morning sickness this morning and I have noticed it getting less and less each day. I have never had a pregnancy with so little nausea, I was sick right through to term with all of my boys.

Exercise is likely to be minimal today, it is just to F!#@!# hot but will still need to make it in to the gym tonight to coach.

Appetite has been seriously down but did manage to cook and eat a taco last night, I have gained a little over 1 kg in the 8 weeks of pregnancy so far, which is super good and in line with where I should be, blood sugar levels are stable and normal (regular forum members would already be aware this is something I track at home as a data junkie lol). I have been a little slack and not checked blood pressure, but will do that later.

there has been a few chuckles from people when they find out what my youngest son put on the form he had to fill out for school indicating what his plans were for after graduation next week. Plan A was as expected, he wan't to join the army as an apprentice chef, his Plan B is "become a male stripper" most people think he is being a jokester, but he is actually serious lol, he is not afraid to strip down and show off his muscles.

I'm glad you are getting less & less morning sickness Tru. I didn't have any in either of my pregnancies, but I know so many people who did. I'm sitting here actually with a rug on my lap as we have let the fire go out. We don't even have or need aircon. What a crazy, huge, varied country we live in! Your son has made me laugh :D

Another night of poor sleep, it is 5:30 in the morning and feeling tired. Waiting for hubby to call this morning, to see if the doc is letting him out of hospital, if so then I have 6 hours of driving ahead of me today.

If you don't need to drive to Brisbane today Tru are you capable of just having a quiet, relaxing day at home? Is it possible? I think your batteries could do with a re-charge. Take care xoxo
