Lift, Train, Fitness

been a while since I posted in my own diary lol, although I have been around posting elsewhere on the forum

it has been a busy last couple of weeks, yesterday was at the gym for newspaper photos with son.

training is progressing as usual so nothing specific to report.

Merry Christmas Tru! Its a pretty busy time of year for everyone but I bet the New Year will be even busier for a trainer when people set goals for the year and start to act on them. I wish you and your family well!!

new year always gets a bit stressed

been busy getting middle son organises for his big move to Canberra to study at ANU (Australia's top university), just waiting on his official offer as his ATAR was well above what he needed for guaranteed acceptance. Planning to drive him down a little after new year (2 full days solid driving)

the gym will probably be a bit crowded during the first week of the new year when the resolution makers join with good intentions before they give up a month later.

No training today, spent the day working on my blogs etc.

have also been building new garden beds around the house. Woke up this morning to a snake slithering on the flyscreen covering my open window next to the bed. Good thing the cat couldn't get out, she was determined to attack it.

Well it is the new year, and although I am not one to make resolutions, I am determined to be more consistent with my online tracking (no problem with tracking at home, just slack posting it lol)

I do occasionally get annoyed with some gym goers and last night was one of those times, there was an old bloke that came into the gym last night and his first words to me after walking through the door were "why are you at the gym, you must be bored" I do not know this person, and I am fine with saying hi to new members and I am always open to help novice lifters but this felt a bit off. Then the creepy old man offered to spot my warmup ??? like what the hell, I was speed repping the weight. He then proceeds to claim he was a powerlifter once, going on to brag about somebody elses lift he had seen once, which was mediocre at best and proceeded to give unsolicited and very wrong advice throughout the time he was there and claiming he knew these thing because he had studied "Nursing Science", In all my 30 years of training in gyms, I had heard about these types of creepers but never encountered one. At the other end of the gym hubby couldn't wipe the smirk of his face lol knowing that if the creeper tried anything, he would have to call an ambo for the creeper.

Let the new year begin, may the gym be full of new years resolutioners and may they hopefully not be creepers.

What a creep! I think I'm glad that he didn't push you to the edge Tru. Maybe he wasn't as stupid as he seemed :) Happy New Year Tru!

coaching went well today, son is now doing weighted pull ups with 10 kg added weight, happy with my session after missing a few training sessions at the end of last year.

Happy New Year Tru!!

I am not looking forward to my gym this coming week. I plan my work outs around the slowest time of day, usually around 2pm. And thats because I don't want to talk to anyone while I'm there. Headphones, resting bitch face, zoned out.

Food intake has been good this week, averaging 7 carb per day and hitting my protein target of 100g each day

tonight is bench night at the gym, training is back on track after spending more time coaching than completing my own training.

Woooo Hoooooo

got my email today, stating that I have met all of my NCAS requirements and am now qualified as a National Level Powerlifting Coach :D rather than just a certified coach !!!!!!!!

it was a long process but soooooo worth it !!!!!!!!

on the training front, son was a bit sick in the gut tonight, so Bench training is postponed until early tomorrow morning
