Lift, Train, Fitness

Checkup at the doctors went well today, he was happy with blood pressure results which I am very happy about as the hourly monitoring was getting on my nerves.

Looks like I may end up coaching my GP as well as his son at the gym lol

also I have my first obstetrician appointment at the hospital next week, up until now it has been my GP taking care of my pregnancy

Hope all goes well today...sending you and the bubba lots of love!

ps: do you know the gender yet? or are you keeping it a surprise?? I have baby fever, sorry I can't help asking it, Lol :p

Last scan was inconclusive, probably another boy. We didn't find out for the first 3 but hubby wanted to know for this one before painting the nursery, ended up going with yellow.

After 2 hours of questions and paperwork etc. at appointment, everything is ok and on track, however they are referring me to another hospital 1.5 hours down the coast, so that's 2 hours drive from home, all because the local hospital only handles low risk deliveries while I am considered high risk due to age regardless of the fact that I am fitter and healthier than many much younger ladies.

2 hours is not going to allow for much leeway if labour takes any less time than it did for my youngest son ( 3 hours) especially considering labour times usually get shorter the more kids you have had.

I'm glad they want to take the best possible care of you but a two-hour drive while in labor is incredibly long. My mom's fourth kid took an hour and a half to arrive (she was 40 at the time and it was a planned home birth, only possible because an ambulance can drive out and get you to the hospital in 20 minutes in an emergency).

Distance and travel time is the drawback for living in regional Australia, and we are not particularly remote. city people usually have no understanding of long travel times and limited facilities. living 30 minutes out of a reasonable sized regional town and we have no phone reception, we rely on slow NBN satellite for internet with very low and time restricted data limits, very patchy TV, no public transport (bus) one train per day to the nearest city.

on the up side we have lots of space and minimal exposure to horrible neighbours and mostly B-Double trucks for traffic outside of peak tourist season.

Yeah, my folks live about as remote as is possible in my home country. I sometimes forget how sheltered we are, even though I hate the overcrowding and concrete.

Next appointment is with the hospital down the coast in a couple of weeks time.

feeling good today but my carb intake was higher than I would like yesterday but at least my appetite has not spiked to badly with the pregnancy so far and I have not had excessive weight gain.

I need to drive into town to make an appointment for my glucose tolerance test.

Hi Tru. I think I used my pregnancies as an excuse to eat more, rather than actually being hungrier. I'm sure you are way too smart & knowledgeable to do that. You will be one very fit & healthy mother when your time comes. Have you considered staying close to the hospital if you haven't given birth by the due date? Did your other babies come early? It seems crazy that you can't have your baby at the nearby hospital!

All of my boys were right on time, the hospital has said that they won't let me go over 40 weeks due to age so the topic of being induced has already come up. At next appointment I am going to ask about getting induce a bit before due date so we don't have a sudden rushed drive.

Good thinking!

Last couple of days have been ok and eating has been more in line with my normal keto eating however it was not real great last night at the gaming table where my Doc gets to see how bad my diet can be lol

after getting home I watched the Grand Prix but as soon as we started watching the Tour bub was kicking the crap out of my insides.

Sleep has been a bit dodgy, very hard to sleep comfortably when your preggo
