Lift, Train, Fitness

been feeling a bit yuk today, suddenly got the urge to go and look at the all time record for ACT broomball as I was missing playing, even after 15 years away from the game, one of my records has fallen (most penalty minutes in a season for a female player) but I still hold the record for most MVP points in a season for a female player lol If only we had an ice rink near by, I would be back on the ice in the blink of an eye.

I had never heard of broomball but it looks like a lot of fun :D

just having a quick bit of computer time during the 1/2 time break, on the TV

Go the mighty EELS !!!!

been having fun watching little miss dance around wearing my eels dressing gown lol and son 3 thinks I should invest in having a life size cardboard fan cutout with my pic on it to go in the stands at the eels home games as there are no crowds even though games are back on.

solid win, I think I will rub it in to the Bronco fans tomorrow and wear my jersey to go shopping :reddevil: especially considering the crap Bronc fans like to hand out. lol the joy of living in enemy territory, they take the rugby league very seriously up here.

once an eel always an eel, they have been my team since I was old enough to watch a game

I don´t even watch sports but I do enjoy fan-watching
I like that, sports fans can be a lot of fun to watch. I once went to a bullfight in Mexico City, at the big arena. As a result of my poor Spanish I ended up sitting high in the sunny cheap seats, that turned out to be great fun. I don't know anything about bullfighting, when to cheer or boo, but the crowd I sat with did, had a great time. And I was so far up it was hard to see the bullfighting very well, probably a good thing.
Go the mighty EELS !!!!
Got to love a team called the eels!

While watching the broadcast last night, it mentioned that the American NFL teams have each adopted an Aussie NRL team to support and the broadcast of the live game was shown in a heap of extra countries because with the virus there is not much live sport happening.

Son 3 purchased anew BBQ so tonight's meal was a full BBQ out on the verandah to christen the the new purchase, I am still having problems with my rash, there is still seems to be a trace of wheat in my diet that I cannot seem to ID, I have gone from just being intolerant of wheat to a full wheat allergy, I effectively cannot have anything processed for fear of contamination or unlabeled wheat. It is so bad my breathing is starting to be affected. I have a Doc appointment Wednesday and see what happens, I may need an allergy test to identify if I have developed any new allergies.

Had my Doctors appointment this morning, Doc is convinced it is no longer just an intolerance to wheat but a full on Allergy and has been put on my digital records as an allergy to wheat, I can no longer get away with a small amount hidden in some foods, I now have to be fully vigilant to avoid completely. I react to the wheat within an hour of consuming it.

Doc thinks it is not worth spending big money on a specialist to diagnose something that is obvious

A little bit of research tells me the rate of wheat allergies in adults is 0.4 %

most people have no idea how many products have wheat in them, on Friday the flare up came because the sesame seed snaps (I ate a single snap) had wheat in it in the form of glucose, this is a snack that is labeled as gluten free which just demonstrates the point that gluten free does not equal wheat free.

At least your doctor takes you seriously, that's worth a lot. Still: it's going to be frustrating to explain the difference between wheat and gluten to everyone - and traces of wheat can be found everywhere, up to and including dried spices

I have a good doc, I saw online today that he had a paper published today concerning medical law, he is not only a doctor but also a barrister specialised in medical law, a very smart man.

bit of a nothing day today, food ok, exercise was walking around our property with little miss looking at birds and insects, one of which is in the walking photo thread. done some crafting with little miss but will need to cut some green paint out of her hair later..

my skin is starting to improve since the last oops with the wheat. Tonight I need to put a fresh batch of biltong in the fridge to marinate in the salt vinegar and herb mix before hanging tomorrow, I have trouble making enough for everybody in the house and have not been able to store any.

I have most of my essay done, should be able to get it finished tomorrow, it has been a struggle as I am not a good writer.

A testament to the quality of your product I´m sure but if you wanted to have it to take with you on hikes mayyybe you need a locked food safe :p

I think you may have to hide some, Tru. That wasp is amazing! Your daughter has such a rich & fascinating life. Nothing boring about it.
