Lena's diary

hehe ah well i will learn to make them eventually :) i do like doing yoga. but i don't like doing it in larger groups. which i why i prefer to do it at home...with a video or something. that way i can really focus on myself, my breathing and the performance of the asanas. i just wish i had some quality yoga video.

People who do yoga always seem in such great shape, but I always wonder is it the yoga or does yoga simply attract those already thin and hot.. LOL

wooooooooo i just did cindy whitmarsh 20 minute cardio interval workout. man i was sweating for another 15 minutes after finishing it. man. it looked much easier than it is lol. had a lot of fun doing it. later i will also do some yoga exercises :) but i feel soooo good now.

Glad you feel great!

Yoga, in my humble opinion, requires a good teacher or more than one. Form always needs to be corrected and it's easier to say in the loop if one attends class. I DO practice on my own, as you know, but I'll go for weeks at a time without waking up at 6am to do Yoga, but you won't find me missing out on evening Yoga class! :smash: The things I've learned from my various teachers is invaluable--and even Yoga instructors take Yoga classes with more senior practitioners. My advice would be to take regular classes, with more than one teacher if possible.

Glad you love the place you live!

i do agree with you. i did try..but we don't really have that many options here for yoga classes and the ones i tried i didn't really like..the teachers might have been good...but it was just toooo crowded.
my practicing of yoga...well it is more practicing of several positions that make me feel really calm after i do them, such as the salute to sun for example.
once they open a quality yoga place i will definitely go and check it :)

If you find a great work out video you can accomplish it just as well.I bought the Yoga for dummies and I loved it, it was excellent and I love how soft spoken she is and how easy she talk to you about doing it.I have also gone to Yoga classes as well.Classes are nice as you have the instructor to help you with the harder poses or reposition you if needed. The nice thing with the dummies to is that she shows you three poses and you choose which one you can do or advance yourself and work up to it.I also Yoga with Weights which I like too.

Nice--have you actually looked for a yoga studio? Santa Cruz county is CHOKED FULL of them, whoa!!!!

there are several here...but they are either too far for me or too many people are in the groups...or its too damn expensive. we are when it comes to these trends a few years behind US...

i will definitely take a look at it. i am very careful when it comes to positions because of my history of back problems. that's why i focus only on several positions that i find comfortable to do :)

i am sore today after that workout yesterday, especially in my thighs and glutes. cool :) i can barely sit on the chair though hahaha

today's food plan:

breakfast: turkey ham sandwich (about size of 1 6" subway sandwich)
snack: coffee
lunch: two small tortilla wraps (each 40g) with red beans, corn salsa, cabbage salad, ham and cherry tomatoes
snack: tangerines
dinner: 1 hard boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, low fat cottage cheese

exercise:
stretching, abs, elliptical

:)You will have to share those exercises with me if ya want:)...With no booot camp this month I gotta make an honest effort to exercise and to try to exercise to the extent of boot camp.I miss it:(

What yoga poses do you do?I have back issues as wella dn have thrown my back out before while doing yoga.

I hate the sun salutation, lol but love alot of the basic poses like cat pose and the tree pose i love along with mountain pose.corpse pose and childs pose are amoung my faves and the warrior...

just go to there are lots of workouts in entire length so you don't have to buy them. i really like the ones from cindy whitmarsh.

as for yoga poses, i love doing salutes to sun. i do it 6-7 repetitions, then several cat to dog positions (i don't know what are the names in english though), so basically really basic ones. and they do the trick of making me sleep better.

How is it exercising from the comp?Ie a vid?

Ive decided I am going to do my restorative yoga after work b4 bed...It would prob be good to get into a routine as well might help me.

I like cat pose

Dammit I hate this forum in the sense that it makes me like you guys too much, and I want to come over to where you're at and cook for you, exercise with you, and teach yoga to you! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............

Private Yoga lessons with Curvie Girlie, LOL--sound cool? ;) Do you like to cook, too?

i would have private lessons with you anytime :) start making videos. i'll do the exercises :D
i do like to cook :) but i'm up for anything new. do you know how to make tortillas? mine just don't seem to work lol. well any instructional videos, audios from you are always welcome val my dear :D so give it a thought hehe (like your day isn't short enough already)

Do I know how to make tortillas!?!?!?!? LOL, my great [Mexican] grandmother taught me, how coincidental! from scratch, no measuring devices :) BUT you need the proper frying utensil--can't remember the name but it's like a flat cast iron skillet with a lip--I've tried to make them in Teflon skillets but it never works.

I suspect I will be a bit too busy with Peezey in the near future to have time for instructional videos :( This is nice, but yeah--one of the cool things about being totally single is having spare time. Entering a new romance? Time consuming! But, worth it :)

hell yeah...
sex vs. instructional videos
romance vs instructional videos
can it even be compared?.......i don't think so hahaha

i love romance beginnings...the heart beating, butterflies, the positivity, thoughts, dreaming...the feeling can only be explained as yummy :) i can't believe i still have it with my bf after 8 years.probably because of the distance thing.

:( Awww, no you don't!

I'm glad you still feel that with your boyfriend, and I KNOW it is possible for certain couples--long term relationships do NOT have to get stale--I think it also has to do with the people not falling into bad habits in how they treat each other--OH, and also keeping themselves funky fresh, too :)

true true :) my relationship got better when i realized i can be just as happy and succesful on my own in case any of us decides to leave. i will be heartbroken yes...but eventually will rise out a new me :D now that attitude was such a turn on for him, and gave me wings lol.

i'm kinda in a bad mood today, mainly because of food. my 'eating episode' started possibly because i'm pms-ing.. yesterday afternoon i ate more than i planned. i was still under my maintenance level but still... it will last for a day or two, then it will pass...i hate these episodes when i just can't seem to feel full...i'm constantly hungry, even when i eat slow and stuff. 1 hour later i feel like i haven't had anything.
i'm trying to affect it by enforcing positive thinking..and my overall attitude is good...its just the hunger. i don't have any emotional distress/pleasure/anger/sadness that i'm aware of that would trigger it. how pathethic...:ack2:
