Well it was good to hear that the presentation went smoothly. Now what? How is it all going? I hope you're out making new friends and having fun. :)

well i might be having too much fun lol
its so fun eing student again hehe, especially in the beginning when we're all just getting to know each other.
so far i am partying a bit too much, bet betternow then later. i just signed up for 8 courses i'll be taking. this is academicly going to be one tough year for me, but this is everything that interests me so that is always good :)

i went to the dorm gym yesterday, but its really awful, so i need to search for a new one near by. but at least i did 20 minutes on a very old bike, and immidiately felt tons better.

i don't really have a lot of time to post so i'm really sorry for being away most of the times. i reallyhope all of you are doing great. but you can access me via e-mail. its lencii@hotmail.com

big hug to all
lena

hey everybody,

i'm sorry i'm not on here as much as i would like to be. i really miss all of you keeping me in check. last few days were really bad foodwise. i didn't eat that much since last december and i really feel bad. which is good. if i didn't feel bad that would mean that worm took over completely and somehow he managed to take over without me realizing it. why i always get in this state of denial. was this bound to happen??? i really hope it was just a thing i did, that tomorrow is a new day.
i'm really scared of going back to what i was. i didn't gain any weight but i feel really bad because i don't exercise as much as i want. i need some reality check. please help me get back on track. i need some good ass kickin :D

apart from this things are going ok, i have tons of reading to do. i really hope i'll be able to come here more often.

Hey there sweetie!! I've miss ya for sure!! It's good to see your keeping busy, but I want to help you by giving you the "SWIFT KICK"in the butt and telling you regardless of how old that bike is in that gym, get out there and work that bike. I have an old bike here at home too, but if that was the only thing I had to work with, you bet I would be using it every day. You need to stay focused and you know when you do ride it, you feel better, so please try and use that old bike at least 3 days a week, can you do that for me and for yourself?? I think it will certainly up your spirits a bit. Do you not have any one there that you can workout with?? Are people around there not very friendly??? Your doing fine as you haven't put any weight back on, and that's AWESOME! just try and get back into the spirit ofworking out and try and utilize all those things around you, even if they are old and beat up, you will thank yourself later for doing it, I PROMISE YOU!! Well, I hope the rest of your day is a good one,I'll check back on you later gator. BIG HUGS!!!
Kim:rofl:

awww thank you Kim :)

i had a really wonderful day. Last night we were in one of the rooms and my colleagues cam to find me at midnight to wish me happy irthday. and they know me for three weeks. i was really touched :)
as for me. i am ok. i went power walking the other day. even wrote this long reply to you but it didn't post it. but i also wanted to thank you Kim for saying what i really needed to hear. only i can make decisions about what my life is going to be. and i am determined to be a healthy and happy person. all i want is to be content, and now i'm not as far as the food goes. i need to focus the same way i focus on my friends and everything else.

i won't party tonight because i have lot to do and read but tomorrow i'm going to go out and dance the night away. on saturday there is pelinka festival (type of very strong drink) so i'll enjoy but not too much.

i will get back in control. i am getting back in control.

Lena

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, you AND Kim are such wonderful people (well there's al LOT of ya on here) and you two have given me such kind, helpful words on here. hey you people :) :)
well to finally catch up with all of you. After 2 months of really having bad relationship with food in budapest i am slowly trying to figure out how to deal with my food situation. I have several problems:

1. no kitchen to cook in, only outdated microwave oven
2. 1 fridge for 30 people(go figure)
3. low budget

which brings me to other problems:
3. i'm in classes all day long, and in my free time i have to read.i try to walk as much as i can but its difficult to find time to have a cup of tea in peace let alone workout
4. when i have classes all day i usually have to eat in fast food because they're cheaper than our cafeteria
5. i'm sleep deprived because i need to read sooooo much
6. parties on friday, alcohol..need i say more???

basically i didn't gain much, but i feel my belly is bigger even though i can still wear the same size. anybody here able to organize me????? or anybody has some really good pointers how to cook in microwave for low budget. very low budget. think third world country budget :D

i think i need to enroll into a gym...that might do the trick. i just hope they're not expensive.

anyways, how are you guys doing???

are beans a good option? they're generally cheap

baked potato
baked sweet potato or yam
grains like quinoa, couscous, or bulghur - all those take are boiling water...

canned tuna?

Nice to see you back, little miss... :)

well i do try and eat beans and salads as much as possible. i live on canned tuna and canned tuna salads and instant noodles and soups. this microwave doesn't bake, i have no idea why. i need to write myself some kind of a menu. and go through it on sparkpeople to see the calories. i need to put exercise in my schedule.

i miss my kitchen and all those whole foods and stuff which i can't afford now :( well its only 7 more months.apart from that i am having lots of fun lol.

i'm just a bit scared to lose myself while i'm there.

baked potato was a bad term - you can cook a potato in a microwave -just prick it a few times with a fork and let it cook for about 5 - 7 minutes depending on the size of the tater - it doesn't get the good skin like a real baked tater does... but it cooks it.. (just remember to prick otherwise you get potato bombs :D

Wiht all the processed foods you're eating -I'd make sure that I was getting a lot of water - otherwise you might have some water retentio issues...

I'm sure there are websites for microwave cooking and menu suggestions... I don't own one so I owuldn't know where to begin to tell you how to cook in one.. :(

and if it takes for me to learn how to cook in microwave so be it.

Oh Lena it's good to see you posting!

I totally relate to having your eating deteriorate in a different environment. I just had a comparable sort of experience being on holiday. I see your situation is considerably more difficult though.

I like Mal's ideas. Do you like eggs?
