So I have 3 small victories to share

Number one
I can button my 1st goal skirt....size 14

Number two
I can wrap my towel completely around myself and have it stay up.

Number three
There is this pretty big hill by my house. A few months ago when I walked it while pushing the stroller I would huff and puff up that thing. I ran up that sucker today with the stroller. Im also buying a jogging stroller because my current one isnt cutting it while jogging ; )

Still 208 sigh

So cool that you wrote about that today. I was noticing the towel thing today as well and was very pleased that it went all the way over my boobs! I can't get it all the way around my butt yet, but that's coming soon I hope!

isnt it funny how the little things make a world of difference. Oh and when I got there I felt a little sleepy from my drink but after 10 mins of sweating everything out I felt fine. Did 15 mins on the arc trainer,20 mins of the treadmil,one mile on the eliptical(8 1/2 mins)4 miles on the bike(10 mins). So now I am about to shower and go to bed.

I ate chicken fajitas today...but I worked out twice today. I weighed in after I worked out at 211. I hate how that works...now tomorrow I will take a crap and I will be back at 208 maybe 207 if its a good one LOL TMI

Ha! Well, glad you got that workout in. I can hardly keep up with you! And yeah, :iagree: I never weigh in before my morning poop!
 
I took a long walk today. Took my son to the park to play. I am going to the gym tonight. Might even walk to it..... It seems like its taking forever to reach my 1st goal. 200lbs... Sigh. I feel pretty good though on the inside : ). My body fat percentage was 50 percent when I started In June! It is now...45 percent which is still alot but its down 5 percent so thats good. Slowly but surely....
 
Sorry that you are frustrated about not reaching your goal sooner. I have been feeling the same way, but on the other hand I have had so much more energy and have been generally happier the last week or so.

Just keep that in mind. Like everyone says, it's not just about the numbers on the scale. That fat percentage loss is pretty awesome!

Keep on going. You're right, even if it seems slow... it is sure! Obviously the quick fixes don't work so since this is taking longer, it is DEFINITELY the real deal!!!

I have been happier as well.
Its like a catch 22 because I feel better, I think I look better, but how long it takes annoys me some days... I know I have a cute little figure somewhere in my body and its dying to come out. : ) my legs are looking pretty awesome though..I have noticed that Im getting gaps in places where my thighs used to touch. I doubt I will ever have "air" between my legs but I like that I have less fat...: )

I also came the the conclusion today that I dont mind if girls wear really skimpy outfits to the gym or at the beach. LOL it bothered for a long time and I used to say "even if I had a body like that I wouldn't dress like a slut" and now I kind of feel like "they work so hard to keep that body they deserve to show it off" ya know lol

Anywho So I decided to run on the treadmill today after I did 2 miles on the bike uphill..yeah bad idea. I figured I can do 8(speed wise) on the eliptical and can do a 8 min mile. So why dont I try to run a mile as well. Yeah I had that baby on 7 and when I got to 3 mins I thought I was going to die... Um so i guess im not as fit as I thought. Or maybe thats just way to fast for me..Pooey : ( oh well

still 208 today...sigh. I dont know why I let the scale get me down... My pants feel loose.. My body fat percent is still dropping. I read an article today that said weightloss can cause my birth control mirena to loosen when loosing weight and you can get pregnant. Now I am a little worried... Prob going take a pregnacy test just in case. Also I read that your birthcontrol can stop working from loosing weight..something about the fact that the fatty tissue releases estrogen as it is dissolved to burn as energy in place of the food you are not eating, the amounts great enough to render the hormones. Never heard of it before but now I am going to be super paranoid. I have a timeline for baby number two... when my son turns 3 we will start trying... sigh
Hope Im just worried for nothing...
 
Your own advice sounds great! Don't let that scale get you down, you have so many other victories to celebrate. I bet you feel SOO much stronger and more athletic now. That's always good for the self-esteem :D

About the preggie thing....are you late?? The good thing about this lifestyle change is that you won't have to change much if you are pregnant. You can keep exercising the way you've been since you were already doing it before and your eating is healthy....I know the worry that you are feeling though. I haven't been on birth control since my son was 3 or 4 months old...ahhh!!!

Well Im always irregular because of the iuc. I haven't taking a test yet but I have had my period recently. I think I should be fine. We almost always use a back up just in case. TMI : )

I know I need to stop weighing myself. Thats what I should do! My next weigh day will be on the 27th. I think I hit a weight loss plateau. Been stuck at 208 for awhile. So I guess I will switch things up in the gym.

Hey there,
I think you have just the answer for your plateau. Change things up at the gym. Our bodies need to be shaken up a bit and kept guessing.

Maybe try an aerobics class in addition to your regular workouts. I bet just by changing one day a week you will start seeing results again. Hang in there! You will get past this. Unfortunately, those plateaus are just something we all have to experience.

right thigh 25 inches(I used to make fun saying my thigh was as big as my friends waist, didnt know how true that statement was..he had a 28 inch waist)

so a total of 5 inches lost since july 1st. Holy crap! thats good right? : )

Way to go on those inches. Lookin' good! I was re-reading your victories and I don't know how I missed the first one...size 14! Yay! I'm still in an 18 and can't wait to go down so I can go shopping. I haven't been wearing anything but my workout shorts because all my pants/jeans are way too baggy in my legs now and they don't look cute on me at ALL. My darn stomach needs to go down so I can go shopping!! :willy_nilly:

Yea, I completely agree with you! BUT, I'm glad that you did share with us. I just measured myself, as well, and can't wait to start seeing those numbers drop. Congrats on the inches lost!

Im still in a 16 but those 14's fit. I have yet to try to go shopping for bottoms yet. I have just been wearing belts on my size 18 pants LOL I can't wait until I can do the famous putting the fat jeans on and pulling it out so it looks like a whole another person can fit inside. My size 20 jeans are waiting for me so stand in one leg : ) he he I know my clothes make me look bigger than I am. But everytime I buy clothes I lose weight and then cant wear them anymore.

Erggg I have weighed 208 for 3 weeks now! I cheated and weighed myself. Im so bummed out. I work so hard! : ( I started weight lifting again..have been doing 5 miles on a bike and jogging on the treadmill after I do the arc trainer and elipitical for a few days now. I spend and hour and 15 mins at the gym every night...why am I still 208!!! :rant:..Im hoping the change will effect my plateau. I dont know if I should eat even healther or what. I really dont want to do the veg head thing! Boo hooo I feel like 208 lbs of poo......
I need to lose 100 lbs in a year and at this rate its not going to happen!!! I have told everyone I know that I am doing this..They expect it from me..

update..by upper body aches all over.....but I weighed in a 207.6 this morning! I have never been so happy about such a low weightloss before. I did a little happy dance in my kitchen. I think I can get past this. Im going to do the deadly stair stepper tonight :D

Like a fat kid loves cake...

So I decided to find some photos of me growing up I haven't been the person who gained alot of weight in my adult years. I have been overweight since well...forever... I have always been fat except for 2 years in highschool. Which I still felt fat, but I wasn't. I know that now. I just had issues with eating.

The bottom pics on each set are from my 10th and 11th grade in highschool. I lost around 60 lbs between years. I hated the last photo. My "fat" was hanging out all over the place. At 138 I swear I felt over 200 lbs.
You can see that I have been always overweight. My family let me eat whatever I wanted. I was stuck inside watching tv at home because my grandpa used to tell me I could get kidnapped in the area we lived in so I was scared and stayed inside all the time. I stopped getting kids meals in 3rd grade and started getting quarter pounders with fries. I remember it was a number 4 where I lived. Photos speak louder than words so I figured I'd show my journey on this weightloss weightgain roller coaster.

Me at 208 last week.
 
I dunno If I am getting enough calories..

:confused:102-a banana
105-one whole scrambled egg
40- 1 piece of light wheat bread(lowest calorie bread I have found)


80 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese
380 and a healthy choice chicken dinner


180-medium baked potato
80- 1/2 cup fat free cottage cheese
30-light ranch
100-2 deli slices of heathy ham


1017 at dinner I prob will have a snack later...200 calories or so.. Should I be eating more or is this fine?

a had another banana and about 2 cups of frozen fruit. Grapes,Strawberrys,Melon,Peaches.
