1200 calories is what we would be eating at our goal weight and to maintain that weight. The way you have it now, there is no room to keep lowering your calories. Your body is just going to adapt. If we start high and as we lose, keep going down as the weight goes down, then our bodies have to readjust as well keeping our metabolism going strong. I was thinking of starting over with my calories because mine might be a little low and I'm at about 1700 a day. I prob. need to up it to 2000-2100 and then go down from there. I'm anticipating a slight gain, but in the long run it will be worth it to avoid hitting the dreaded plateau. Even just adding about 2 pieces of fruit and a veggie or nuts will take me up a notch with calories. Hopefully won't send me back into the 220s!! If anyone else is reading this and this info is wrong--please correct me! But, if I'm understanding the stickies in the forum correctly, then I think this is the way to go.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time. You are doing a lot, and this break will be so good for you. Make sure that you make room in the day for relaxation time. Schedule it in like it's an appointment. Even if it's a 5-10 min. break of just laying on the couch and not doing anything but lay there. I do that sometimes when Erik goes down for his nap. I take a quick break before I get whatever else needs to be done. You said that you need to get back into church. Did y'all stop going for awhile? Ever since Erik was born, we don't go as much as we used to. We just have church right in our living room sometimes. We put on some music and read our bibles and pray with/for each other. It's very fullfilling but I know it's just not the same as getting together with other people. When Erik gets older we'll go back so that he can go to children's church and we can get more involved. It's just too crazy right now to do anything like that. Well, I hope you feel better. I'm so proud of you for working out as hard as you are with all that's on your plate. You're doing great, keep it up!....and get some rest, girlie!!
