Hey guys! Welcome to my ~diary~ of sorts. I'm going to keep track of all my food and exercise here. I do keep track daily on a whiteboard but this way I'll have something to look back on and its also a place where people can offer advice and comments.
As for the title, my friend and I are planning to roadtrip to LA this summer (she's never been) and I want to be looking good.
My goal weight is 105-110ish, I'm only 5' tall, and I've been at 116 before and I could have definitely stood to lose a few more pounds so I think that is a reasonable goal.
As stated before I've completed a weight loss journey before and got myself down to about where I wanted to be, but then got a boyfriend and ballooned up. Then came the dreaded freshman 15 when I left for college and that in addition to getting a new boyfriend really sent me soaring. So here I am battling my way back down.
My SW: 200 lbs (I couldn't believe it when I saw it on the scale, I broke down) was June 2010
My CW: 177.8 lbs as of Sept 15th 2010
My 1st GW: 150 lbs
My 2nd GW: 125 lbs
My 3rd (final GW): 105-110 lbs
I'm really hoping to reach that goal, or at least my 2nd GW by next summer or ideally spring break time.
I am going to post food and exercise here. I'm shooting for 1,000-1,200 cals a day. I know that might seem extreme to some, but in the times that I've dieted I've found this a good balance for me between weight loss and satisfaction. I've consulted with physicians (including my father who is an MD) and the conclusion is that my metabolism is on the very slow side. Haha. I mean its not ridiculously slow, but slow enough that combined with my height it takes a pretty big calorie reduction to start making a difference. Eventually my maintaining cals will be 1,500-1,700. I've been eating low cals all summer and I feel good. I finally feel as though I'm not all consumed with food and what food I do it is healthy and satisfying. So I'm at least glad that I've made that progress.
So here goes my first entry:
Wednesday Sept 15, 2010
Food
Breakfast - ZonePerfect Protein Bar - 180 cals
Lunch - Parmesan Chicken Lean Pocket - 290 cals
Snack - Kix Cereal (small handful) ~ 50 cals
Dinner - Lean Cuisine Pepperoni Pizza - 350 cals
Dessert - Warm Delights Chocolate Molten Cake - 150 cals
Total 1020 cals
Exercise
Step it Up -High level cardio step class- 55 mins
AbSolutions -concentrated ab/lower back class- 15 mins
Walking on the track - 3 mi- 55 mins
Total~ 2 hrs of exercise
That's really what a typical day for me looks like now. If you had told me 6 weeks ago that i would be doing 2 hrs of exercise a day, I wouldn't have believed you. I've always had a really hard time exercising. But my best friend and I are doing this together which makes it so much easier.
This forum has been such an inspiration to me, and I'm glad I can actually finally contribute to it. I hope eventually I can become an inspiration to others!
