Hey, Clarence.

I've decided to see what happens if I follow an actual programme, so I started StrongLifts on Saturday. I'll see what sort of improvements I make over the next three months - that's how long I have decided to try the programme out.
 
Way to accomodate both there buddy!!:D ...It can be sometimes hard to manage the Newness of Relationships and getting a workout in "on schedule"...but seems like you are doing JUST FINE!! ;)!!! Glad to hear it!
 
So glad to see you are happily involved :) Way to balance that and your workouts both! Its hard i know.. esp when all you want to do is hang out with that person... but im glad to see you are looking out for your health as a #1 priority still!!! :)

Hven't poseted in a few days, gf came into town in thurs, so i've been distracted lol. I'm not going to bakc trak and post all the workouts, but i will say i deadlifted 315lbs, which i a new personal best and as far as i'm gonna go with that one. Today was a 7 mile run, took about 1 hour 3 mins. yay! tonight i will try yoga for the first time and friday i have my first indoor soccer game. fun times are a coming! lol

Hey mel, i'm sorry about not positng everyday, just never really have much to say. its pretty much the same every week. i'm not stopping so. I like coming in every couple days and just letting people know what's new.When i change workouts i'll post, but its pretty much the same for now. How are you doing anyway?

hey guys, just an update. I ran a total of 20 miles this week, and working my way up getting 7 miles in under 60 min... kinda hard to go fast for that long. But i am pushing pushing. I'm around 62 min now, so i should be good. I successfully squatted 405lbs 5 times hitting a new personal best. Yoga was an absolute blast and i think i'll be doing that every tuesday, An overall good week. I have my first indoor soccer game today! excited about that! I class on sat then i get to go go see my lady.. which will end the week off nicely. How is everyone else doing.

Monday

Ok guys an update is in order.

SOO>>> I ran 20 miles last week. Nothing new, just saying. heavy day at gym on friday, which was crazy as usual. But there were a couple new things this week. First i went to yoga. INTENSE! I never sweated so much from standing still! i did find out I can do do a headstand without any help and hold it for at least 30 seconds! I am so proud of myself! Not bad for only haven teken one yoga class! Friday I did my first indoor soccer league game! It was soo much fun, and tiring! I felt bad for the girls on our team because they couldn't sub out :( We did end up winning the game, which made it even more fun lol. I finally got to weigh in since the scale at that gym is out for repair,i just went to another one. I clocked in at 222! so that's 108 lbs down! 22 to go! I also got my body fat checked out. I clocked that in at 21.3!! I am no loner obese! I'm barely overweight now, which is oh so awesome. I can't wait ti;i fall sub 20% bf%! I just wanted tos hare the good news with you guys. I'm on cloud nine right now. Time to drive this phase of weight loss home!
 
Just read through a good chunk or your journal. Congrats on all the weight loss, you seem like one fit dude. Thanks for keeping me motivated to hit my mileage goals this week!

Today i s yoga day! i can't wait to show off my ability to do a hand stand on my second day of class! I ran 6 miles today, 52 minutes. ARGH! i only have 2 weeks left to get to 50!!! well like 2.5 but still! Ok ok, i can do this, i can do this! I want to have a pace for more than 7mph for 6 miles and i'll be happy. I think i am about 7 even right now. ah well. excited about soccer this week, practiced a lot this weekend. how is everyone doing?

Massive congrats on the weight loss and for moving out of the "Obese" category.
That's a HUGE accomplishment - especially for a bloke who was once 380 lbs!

And you're 22 lbs anyway from your goal? That's incredible. Best of luck.

And thanks for sharing your updates. It's folks like you who inspire the rest of us.
 
Oops

I was supposed to post hours ago, but got side tracked with work. Anyway, Yoga class was nice, I did my headstand (tripod, as it is called) and wowed everyone, including the instructor. I even went from crow to tripod! I'll be a true yogi in no time lol! Workout yesterday was face and intense. Weights, light day 15 reps and a lot of sweat. Good times. Today was a relaxing 6 mile run. I think i am falling in love with running. I didn't push for anything just found my groove and cruised. It was a great feeling. So tomorrow I have soccer and I am soo pumped for it! I hope to do much better than last week and maybe even score a goal! wish me luck!

I wish I could get as into running as you seem to be - I would love to break through that wall and experience what it is like to just run free like an animal...
 
hey all, long time no see. Well soccer game ended in a tie on friday, which was great. The other team was pretty annoying. For starters the were abusing the fact that there is no offside in indoor soccer, which menas they would ahve someoen just sit at out net the whole game. This sucks becasue that means someoen on our team never gets to play offense. Also, they made sure it was a girl, since in this co-ed league girl goals are worth 2 points. pretty lame. despite them gettting 8 points alone from their cheesy strategy, we managed to come from behind and tie the game with 2 seconds left in the game. it was exhilarating.

This week i've run 10 miles, with 7 being from to day,. i've 7 more on thurs and 3 on friday to make it a 20 mile week. Starting this week I am doing all higher reps lighter weight workouts to burn off more fat and change it up. should be fun. How is everyone else doing?
