Kureransu's Log.

Strange, you'd think tennis would be more stressful on your knees than running.

What sort of digital art/animation are you involved with if you don't mind me asking. Was always something I found interesting.

The company i work for specializes in automotive cgi. We've done tons of online ads for a ton of cars, one of the latest was for the new toyota venza. if you go to the site and click on experience venza, we did the entire animation. what i do here specifically is model and texture props and environments. its good times, but i think i want to transition into video games now.

Yeeaaaaaaahhhh!

Man I did it!! 9.08 Miles in 60 minutes!!!!!! Oh my GAWD!! it was so intense! i totally thought i wasn't going to make it but i hit 9 Miles a few seconds past 59 minutes. i did a 6 minute cooldown for a total of 9.3 miles and 1003 calories! i am soo happy about this accomplishment. man o man i can't express my happiness enough! So, i am debating moving up to level 15 since i have "conqured" level 10. I may do it one more time, but level 15 seems soooo tempting. So tennis last night was cool, not the greatest, but cool. I had a bad lunch that i enjoyed dearly. today will be a trying week food-wise, as i am meeting a friend for dinner on wednesday, and i am going to a party saturday and food will be grilled. i loved grilled food. just with no sauce. i hate sauce. i don't like anything on my food in most cases. but no worries, i'm sure i'll still lose anyway. go me. My friend has totally fell off the wagon, one hitting the gym once in teh last 2 weeks. i am hoping he gets back on soon. i go to the gym later now because he isn't there so i am getting a bit more sleep. i got held up at the gym because a guy was wondering what i am doing to lose so steadily and in a healthy manner. talked to him for about 30 min, but it was all good. anyway. i'll check out other journals. be back here soon.

Nice! Many congrats on reaching the goal. You gonna give yourself a treat or anything? Think you'd make 10 miles on setting 10 before pushing it up to 15? I know nothing about those machines so have no clue as to the difference tween 5 points of settings.

Cool animation. What software do you use? I've messed around with blender a few times, but I'm not an artist so can't do much. If you're interested in getting into games, I'd suggest getting involved in some community built mods for the various engines like half-life etc. Even some flash developers might need some simple models done. I think the most important thing with the games industry is to be able to show that you've actually done stuff for games. Also gamasutra.com is a great game info site, has job postings too.

wow kureransu you really are kicking a$$! wow 9.08miles in 60mins is AMAZING! i read a saying in someones diary (my apologies if its in yours lol!) that the saying goes 'there is no try, only do'....and goodness me you never try you only DO! good stuff!

oh man, i've been there done all that. I'm not too worried about getting to the industry so much, as i ahve soo many friends at different companies that can vouch for my talent. I've been doing this stuff for years now, and I did a total conversion mod for my senior thesis, that was actually featured in PC gaming world back in 2004. It just that the work done then is well now dated, and most of my current work is extreme high end, and i need to get some low poly models and some nice textures going. I'm one of the most outgoing and loquacious people you'll ever meet. I love the CG field, that's why i am mentoring at the international academy of design and technology. I mentor students in the gaming track, and help them to develop porper modeling and texturing skills. I let them know that i am going to be their competition and they better get it together lol.

I use 3Ds Max and photoshop 95% percent of the time. i could use amaya and painter, but i prefer the latter.

Wednesday!!!

So today i feel GREAT! i had an awesome workout. it took forever, but i got it done in a little over an hour, i need to do my core tomorrow, as i didn't have time today. Before i continue i need to say something about yesterday. I did my 9.08 MILES in 60 and such. but what made it even more impressive is THAT I FORGOT MY HEADPHONES! It was almost torture having the only sound be the sound of all the machines going!!! but anyway just thought i'd share.

Tennis last night was nice. I realize i was hitting the ball to far back, and now i am even more accurate than i was before and more lethal lol!!! TOday i had a robust workout which i'll share today this is how it went down...

hey guys. Checking in here. Today was the first day on resistance 15, very tough indeed. i only did 45 min because i had to run back home to get my lunch, but i managed 4.5 miles and 730 calories burn. the burn like crazy the higher the resistance! yesterday a friend i ahven't seen in about 7 years came to town and we went for mexican. she order some weird appetizer, which turned out to be just deep fried pork squares. i tried a couple per her repeated requests, and i feel absolutely horrible now. oh my goodness. i really wanna barf or something, but nothing happens. no fried foods for me.. That cardio session was really nice though i must say. no worries there. how is everyone else doing.... i be back later to ready other threads blaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

oh and i don't rememebr saying i would post pics? i hate taking pics!

post those pics baby!!!

i hate working out without someone to talk to or without my headphones...you are right it is torture.

i gained 4 ounces (LOLOLOL) yes thats a true statement. I hate a plus on the scale even if it is 1 ounce...but sh** happens...

I hate working out without music blasting in my ears. I don't like hearing the creaks and cracks of the machines. It makes me paranoid and I don't work as hard because I still fear I may break the machine lol.

As Promised..

so here i am. (rock you like a hurricane! lol) This long weekend has been very enjoyable. I have don't any portfolio work, but you know i have had quite a busy weekend. Friday post work was 3 hours of tennis. saturday i was sitting in on a class that my friend was teaching and helping the students, followed by a party for one of my co-workers girlfriends, which lasted til 3:30 in the am. he grilled, oh my god. i loved food off the grill. I kinda pigged out, but i made adjustments so that i could! it was delish, just how i like just grilled, no sauce. Yesterday i woke up late, as expected, played tennis for 3 hours went to a "hey guys i moved to cali and i'm back for a few days so come to the bar and say hi!" event. came home ate, went to sleep. then today. gym day. Standard circuit training, then i realized i am lifting too much weight. i i need less weight more reps for heart rate pumpage and calorie burning action! i am lift about 2-40 lbs more than i was doing a few weeks ago, i think i'll dail it back a little til i lose a few more pounds, then see if i need to get bigger. after the session i did the hot tub for about 30 min, which was much needed since i was sore sore from tennis. I dropped another pound, which i am sure wasn't really a full pound, but i only go in 3 digits deep. i don't look at decimals. next monday is jun first i am hoping to see 270 on that effing scale! wish me luck!

Another short story is that during all the parties, all two of them that is. i received so many compliments! the wives and girlfriends of all the employees who haven't seen me since the company holiday party last year were utterly impressed and talked about how amazing and different i look. I tell them wait til the holiday party this year. you'll be even more amazed! at the other party, one old college acquaintances say me for the first time in anywhere from a year to two years, and they were event more impress, as they watched be get bigger and bigger from high school through college. One guy was like man i know you said you lost a little weight, but i you look so different it isn't even funny! all good times. i rock. lol have a good holiday all, and i'll be more active once i;m out of my long weekend vacation mode. that is, until i go on my super long vacation to new hampshire in two weeks!

well aren't you the busy beaver???
& quite the party animal too :)

Mond...errr TUESDAY!

Here's to a short work week! 11 days til my vacation and i can't wait!!!! today was cardio day. If you haven't been reading my journal (shame on you! its a good read, i swear!), I went up to resistance level 15 for the first time last thursday. It was EXTREMELY hard and wore me to bits. The sad part is only did 70% of the workout. well today i went at it again. No ipod, as i didn't realize how many days i would actually be going with out the charger i left at work. needless to say it was dead by this morning. But i realized something. I don't need it. I use to go crazy, but i guess i am so focus on the workout, I didn't really miss it. I guess i am slowing growing into it. Now that i think about it. I hate wearing headphones when i do weights period. So i guess it was only a matter of time before i felt the same about the cardio days or what not. So how was everyone's holiday? I am going to run around other journals and see what the good word is. talk to you guys soon!

hey there! I go nuts without music... gives me a beat to run to!!! :) Keeps my pumped and moving... its sweeeet.

anyways, whats new dude? Seems like you are finding new ways to challange your body!!! way to go boy! :)

Hello Amigo, I see you around in some of my pals' journals in this place and had to go check out your back story here. I am also a large guy, although I'm taller, it sounds like you have a larger bone structure type. I'm sort of a fomer bean pole type, turned fat.

I digress, what you are doing here is really good stuff. Hooray for active lifestyles! I shall be back to pick up more history here on you. BTW, Did I read in Melissa's diary that you are thinking of cycling? Do it bro! Well worth the investment. I ride all the time, it's my favorite cardio.
