Wish you lotsa luck!

Thank you for your post...you gave great advice I will use! Sounds like you definately have the confidence needed to succeed! You can do it!:coolgleamA:

Florida!! How did I miss that?! I'm in florida! I know you won't get this until you get back, so where in florida did you go? I hope you have a great time! If you're coming to South Florida it's REALLY HOT and muggy - bring your mosquito repellent LOL.

I'm BACK from vacation! WOOHOO!

I've never heard of Navarre. Is it gulf side? I usually only like gulf side, I feel like the beaches are always much better and cleaner. Also you don't get "MTV BEACH HOUSE" on the gulf side. haha you know the crowd. But before I get too far off topic, I'm back and read up on all that I missed and it sounds so good!! I was reading some other people's pages before yours and it sounds like everyone here has been doing major work in my absence. Get it done!

Don't worry about the scale being stagnant. My weigh in is tomorrow and I have a feeling mine will be exactly the same. C'est la vie. if you are feeling great than what does the scale matter? Plus, I would rather lose inches more than anything else. I'm so proud of you! Have fun in Florida, I'm very jealous of you. I may have only had one week of work, but I already want a vacation!! Have fun!!!!!!!!!!

Buckeye: Navarre is sandwiched in between Pensacola and Destin. It's soo pretty and never crowded. There are other people there but they are very far down the beach. I LOVE going. I know I'm going to love it even more when I look good in a bathing suit!!! My 4 sisters are all VERY thin and toned and I look like I am adopted next to them! :( It was hard to not be depressed this week about what I've done to my body over the last 5 years. But the good thing is that I'm working on it.... I thought I was going to come back and have gained everything back but I'm only up about 3 pounds. Not too bad for eating pasta and cheesecake this week. :/ I did get some exercise in though. All that walking in the sand has my calves burning :) I also went swimming a bunch and on top of that- going up and down the stairs of the condo and my room was upstairs too....lots of exercise :D I got caught up on your diary a min. ago and you are doing such a great job!! :D Oh, and thanks so much for the info about ear infections. My son does take a pacifier and after reading that we are going to start weaning him off of it this week. He has always only taken it at night, but I know that he doesn't need it anymore. I think I'll have a harder time getting rid of it than he will! It helps him fall asleep sooo fast...well, that's what I tell myself...so who knows?!

Alaskan beaches? Haha we have ONE that would barely qualify as a beach by the lower 48's standers! We may have the most coast line but not really beachy. I can go find star fish and weird stuff like that. Does that make it a beach? More like rocky beaches....

Danny: Rocky beaches sound beautiful to me!

HFL: Well, you are very welcome! Thanks for the encouragement! :D

Dawn: Hahah! I didn't realize you live there! I lived in Tampa when I was 5 and 6 yrs old and then we moved back to Louisiana. My dad takes the family on vacation just about every summer for a week and we either go to Navarre or Destin. This year it was Navarre. SOO pretty...no mosquitoes! :) There were tons of jellyfish though :/ I got stung about 10 times...it didn't keep me out of the water though. I'm glad everything went well for you at the Dr. You are doing soo great with your workouts :) I'm always impressed! Keep it up. Oh and your food journal always sounds soo good. I might have to start stealing your grocery list! :D

:auto: I'm back from vacation, and I did not write down my food journal like I said I would. It was just too much "work"!! I prob. won't have time to get on here tomorrow, so Monday I will start up again. Well, I'm pooped. Sitting on the beach for 6 days is tiring ;)

Thank you thank you thank you!!! It sounds like you had a great, active trip! I'm so glad you got some exercise in, since you were probably worried about that. Calves burning sounds awesome! Those calves are going to be fierce in a couple of days! hahaha I'm glad you are going to wean him off of the pacifier. It is an easy way to reduce the occurrence of ear infections, especially for kids. It isn't an easy process but I hope everything goes alright for you!!!

And I like how you were "pooped" from sitting on the beach. OOOOO you don't know HOW bad I want to be THAT tired from the beach. Sometimes when I'm at work I think how great it would be to float in the ocean on a raft...I call it "Summer Work Blackouts." haha I mean really, what does my boss think I'm going to think about sitting next to a window when it is sunny all the time???

I'm so glad you had a great week with your family!!!!!! Can't wait to hear more from you!

Day Thirty-two 7-30-08

Alright time to get off of vacation and back into the real world!! I've been slacking with getting on here and a little slacking with diet and exercise. I'm ready to get serious again. I didn't do so great with eating today but I'm going to write it down anyway so that I can get used to feeling accountable again. Oh, and I'm down a pound from where I was before vacation. This morning I was 221. I've heard that it's good to keep the metabolism guessing by eating a little more calories once in awhile. The "once in awhile" is over now, so tomorrow it's back to counting cal. again!

Breakfast: 1 cup of cereal and 1% milk (Kashi go-lean crunch,Kashi Vive Probiotic, honey bunches of oats with peaches....this all added up to 1 cup and I mixed it together.

Lunch: Small peice of chicken breast(couple bites) small piece of egglplant. 3/4 cup of white spaghetti noodles and spaghetti sauce. (This was all leftovers from last night.) 1 c. of grape juice

Dinner: Baked Chicken breast with ground up flax seed and seasoning. Cooked spinach with garlic and salt. 1 c. of grape juice

Not much exercise today... I ran around the house with my toddler and did some squats. Tonight I plan on doing some crunches and situps. :)

lean cuisine- waay to salty for me!

On nites no one wants to cook I do Lean Quizeans <<< I love them I had Garlic Chicken Pizza last nite!

More for you!! I tried the three cheese pizza yesterday and almost spit out the first bite. It was waaay too salty for me. The garlic chicken one sounds like it might be good though. Hopefully not as salty as the one I had. Yuck!

Day thirty-three 7-31-08

This is yesterday's journal:

Weighed in at 221

Breakfast: 1/4 c. Special K in 1% milk (I had to force myself b/c I haven't been wanting to eat breakfast lately)

....I ate at my mother-in-law's house the rest of the day....

Lunch:Lean Cuisine-Chicken Alfredo and Broccoli, grapes, and a few bites of roast beef (that's what my son was having! It's hard not to pick off of his plate when he's finished!) Ice water with a lime to drink

Snack: 25 pretzle sticks and a tbl. spoon of reduced fat peanut butter

Dinner: BBQ Chicken leg/thigh. sauteed squash and eggplant. half a baked potato with smart start balance spread, sour cream, shredded cheddar. Ice water with a lime.

....went to the Circus with my hubby, son, and my mom last night. Hubby got some nachos and I ate 5 chips with cheese and 4 jalepenos and about 1 c. of lemonade. :X Circus was so fun!!! We had a blast!

Buckeye--No sweat with the pacifier weaning!!! One night last week I just didn't give it to him and he didn't even seem to notice! He's been paci-free for almost a week!! I did give it to him yesterday for a nap b/c we weren't at home and he had a hard time falling asleep w/o it. Anyway, thanks again for that advice! I needed that little push to get him off of it. I was expecting it to be a night-mare but it wasn't! :)

...yeah. I'm missing the beach. It was prob. the best Fla trip ever. Soo relaxing and NOOO drama!! There is usually some big drama that occurs amongst my family but everyone was so chilled out and it was so calm. I'll make an album on my page soon with some pics. Well, I'm off to catch up on your journal....

Day 35 8-2-08

220 this morning. I ate a snack between each meal today which I don't normally do. Worked out on the weight bench. My hubby put it together and fixed a pieced that had snapped off. It doesn't feel very sturdy so I didn't do very much. I'm going to show him tomorrow when he gets home and see if he thinks it's safe. I did some squats and stayed busy around the house today. Good day today!

Breakfast: 1 egg. 2 pieces of whitewheat bread with Low Sugar strawberry jam. (I shared my breakfast with my always-hungry toddler who had ALREADY eaten his breakfast...he's my calorie saver!) Diet Green Tea

Snack: spoonful of PB. And half a serving of protien mix(50 cal.) a cup of 1% milk (100 cal.)

Lunch: leftovers from last night. small portion of chicken & sausage jambalaya, corn, tomatoes and cucubers with a teaspoon of parmesan ranch dressing. I shared this with my son who pretty much ate half of what was on my plate. Iced Diet green tea

Snack: small salad: cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, 6 whole grain crackers, spoon of feta, dried fruit and nut mix and 2 tbl. rasberry vinegarette dressing. iced diet green tea

So ready to get out of the 220's.....and then sooo ready to get out of the 200s! This next week I'll be going to my Dad's on Mon, Wed, and Fri and I'm going to swim the heck out of his pool!!

Day 36 8-03-08

I posted those ^^^pictures in the "B A..and I" section - minus the undies pic...since the entire public can access it and all.

219 this morning!!!!!!!!! woohoo! 16 pounds down! I really hope that I'm out of the 220's forever! 2 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight! Which was over 2 years ago btw(my son is 20 months old!).....:nopity:

Breakfast: 2 pieces of double fiber wheat bread-toasted with cucumbers and light cream cheese. Diet Green Tea

AHHHHHH!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!! You look fabulouso! Hot mama!!!! WOOOO that was me whistling through the computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It looks gorgeous, I wish I could have been there instead of trapped inside doing work all day! wah wah! Great job with the journaling of the food, I need to be as good as you with that, lately I have been slacking.

I'm really pround of the weight loss also, you are MOVING DOWN THAT SCALE! I wish I could be losing at the pace you are losing, I feel like I'm going nowhere lately!

Again, about the pacifier, I'm thrilled for YOU that it was easy to wean him off of it. Hopefully now he'll have a safer life without the risk of ear infections. It also reduces his exposure to bacteria and reduce his chances of recurring sickness. YAY!! What a healthy family you've got going there! Good luck this week!!!!
