I wish I was one of those people who lose weight when they're ill.
I crave chocolate and sweets....

You never know though, by keeping on top of your eating and doing a little (and I mean a little) exercise you might get better sooner :)
All those healthy vitamin and mineral filled foods (not wine gums, chocolate caramels and biscuits :p)

Hope you're feeling better soon!!!!

EDIT: Think of all those endorphins you'll get from a little exercise too, they'll help with the feeling depressed because of it!

So today the 3 month Spring Challenge starts! I'm super stoked :) I've been promising my daughter all winter that i WILL GO swimming with her and I see this as my VERY LAST CHANCE to do that. I dont' have to be model thin to go swimming, i've accepted who I am. But I do want to be at 200 or under before I'll consider it.

If I go swimming in July, that gives me 4 mths to lose 40 lbs...I can do it!

What's the 3 month spring challenge? It sounds motivating and fun! Don't worry about how you look at the pool - everyone is so concerned with how they look that they won't notice you! (I have learned this from working at a pool!)

You can do it!!!:hurray:

So glad you found it :)

I've been reading Dr. Phils Ultimate Weight Loss Solution (the 7 keys to weight loss) I'm only in the very beginnning of the book...not to the 1st key yet. he's talking about setting a realistic goal of weight loss and how most of us never will get to a 'super model size' and how its not a healthy goal anyways. He's also talkign about how we need to work on other emotional issues/goals because our life is still our life even after we lose the weight. Its not just gonna be perfect once I get down to my goal.

I am more than my weight!!

Hey Korrie, Don't let your weight stop you from missing out with having fun with your daughter! If you do you may later look back on all the things you let yourself miss out on. Someday we're all going to be old and wrinkled and some of us fat.

Live and enjoy life no matter what size you are.

Hey Korrie :)
I think swimming with your daughter is a lovely motiation/goal!
This year I swam so much with my kids, it was really lovely and we had heaps of fun together. Unfortunately it's getting a bit cooler here now so I'll have to find a fun wintery sport to replace the pool.
I read Dr Phil's book a while back too, and he has some great advice, and I reckon being realistic about our goals is so true! This time I pictured me being HEALTHY and not skinny!
Hope you get better ASAP and best of luck with the challenge :)

Hi Korrie sorry to barge in on your weight loss thread but i need a moderator. Could you please read my post - i need a moderator - on the ON TOPIC forum about moving my other thread. I am desperate to be in the right spot and because I am new i have not been able to send you a pm. Thanks for you help.

Hi Korrie,
How's it going for you? You haven't wrote much in here. The warm weather is coming up there soon. Summer, swimming and all that fun stuff. It's cooler today here in AZ. but we've already seen 100 in Phoenix in March!

wow Big Lynn, thats crazy! We actually had our 1st 83 degree day here in Ohio, that was sunday, but it'll be inthe high 50s and low 60's the rest of the week. Today its really windy too....brrr!

So my eating habits are getting better. I still have yet to make a regular routine out of getting on my bike. The bike i PROMISED my husband I'd use, lol. Ah well, I'll get there :)

wow biking and swimming.
you're gonna be super fit.
Amazing job.

I second what was said above about not letting your weight stop you from having fun with your daughter. My mum has been overweight all of my life (I'm 25), and it never bothered me (in fact, when it started to bother my friends, I told them where to stick it, if you'll pardon the expression). I'm now starting to worry because she's not getting any younger and she's been very overweight for a very long time, but she's always just been my mum, and her shape doesn't change how I feel about her one little bit. I would have felt terrible if I knew my mum had been avoiding doing things with me because of her size. (Including swimming- my mum loves swimming and passed that love on to me. And my lack of caring about her shape extends to what she looks like in a swimming costume)

Thanks for your comments girls! And thanks Amy for posting your prospective! I need to just do it, even it I am embarressed of my weight. Maybe by July I'll have enough weight off that it wouldnt' be devisitating? lol :)

Hi Korrie, I have been catching up with your diary:) You are a busy woman, like me. It is hard to fit much else in, isn't it! Having your goals is a really good idea. I think swimming with your daughter is a great idea, I LOVED going swimming at the weekends with my dad when I was young.

I am keeping a sheet every week, simple box style with columns for water, exercise, food and a goal. So, for example If I drink 3-4 litres I get 3 points, or 2 or 1 for less. It helps me gauge my water consumption. I write in anhy exercise, housework, cross trainer, and exercises. It shows me how much I'm doing. I write down what I'm eating in another column and finally write a motivation goal like well done, or keep it up etc and in the corner there is a little motivation pic, like a before after of a similar woman or my holiday pic .....

I hope we become good weight loss buds:)

hows your progress towards that swimming with your daughter goal going ? I am hiking next week with my son.
