So i am looking to start some kind of martial art, im not exactly sure which kind to be honest. I found a couple places around my are such as Kempo, Kung Fu etc. I just got off the phone with a master at a school that teaches Ko Am Mu Do. He explained to me that this is a mix of TKD, Jujutsu, Hapkido, Kick boxing and incorporated weapon training for each belt. Does anyone know anything about this style of martial art? Would it be fun for me as a beginner? Also, i read the sticky and it said somewhere in there avoid places that work on contracts or promise black belt within X number of years. He didnt promise a black belt, but he did state that if i did goto class 3x a week for a year he could almost guarantee a green belt, which is halfway to Black. They also do month to month payments, but as he stated its cheaper to pay for some months/year in advance. The school is registered with the WTF (world tkd federation) and he says that within the school his black belt certifications come directly from Korea, from the country of origin. The master i spoke with is the instructure and he is a 4th dan black belt. Any advice/info would be great since im pretty much a noob when it comes to martial arts. Thanks!!
