Kiwi Guy

Well done Vince, how's Christmas week going for you? We had a couple of nice days down here but it's been grey and drizzling.

How cool to be on holiday, are you going camping? I'm working through.

Hey PLB and Anna...didn't get to come on here over the Christmas period, but nice to know that people are checking up on me :p

It didnt go too bad...definatly over ate on occasions, but I had my shakes ect for the majority of the time. I didn't gain any weight, and i was able to go for a few runs ect. so i think I balanced it out ok.

Its a bit annoying because my Mum and Dad are the type who will continue to give you food even when you've said you don't want it....its hard haha.

Weighed myself a few times on their scales, don't know how reliable they are because they tell me I've gone down quite a bit, which i don't think will be the case, but i'll see how I go in a few weeks when I get weiighed

And i've decided to do an 8km "Around the Bays" run thats in March sometime....keen as!

So i've been going for walks/runs since I've been away, (a bit before Christmas), been doing a 1.3km circit 3 times to make 4km. When my sister comes we walk, so we walked two and I went for a run for the last one and did the whole thing without stopping....kinda a big thing for me haha. I don't think i've ever done a KM before with out stopping, I was rather stoaked with myself.

Been eating relatively well, but theres been plenty of snacks and food that arn't good for me, so i don't think i would have lost much weight over the holiday period, but I'm not too fussed, as long as I didnt gain any.

I've been back home for a little bit less than a week, and I've yet to exercise...and my brother keeps wanting to make all of this shitty food that he sometimes ropes me into. But I've got a goal now...3.5 kgs in 2 weeks, so I'm gunna go for a run tonight and exercise almost every day....we'll see how I go with that haha.

So officially, I'm down to 118.5 kgs, that means from the 21st Dec to 9th Jan I've only lost a kg, but I'm not too disappointed because I've been eating pretty poorly. I'm back on the wagon and am motivated.

I've joined a fitness thing that starts on the 2nd Feb and runs for 5 weeks, where the 3 people who lose most weight ect. win some money, but for me I'm using this as my means to get in shape - the fun run I'm doing is on March 11th, so that gives me almost exactly 2 months so train for that. My goal is to get down to 107 by then, so 11.5 Kgs in 2 months...Pretty keen!

Got weighed today and I'm 2kgs down from last week - 16.5 kgs. Really happy with this, ive gone for 4 runs in the last 6 days so it makes me feel like the hard work is paying off.

I've started to do these circuits - we have a rugby field not far from us - 100m long and 75 meters wide, so to run around it, it works out to 350m. I start on a corner, then run the whole thing, then walk to the next corner (100 or 75m), then run around again, walking one of the sides between each run. It works out to running 1.4km and walking 350m. I'm doing that in about 11 minutes. I think i'll continue to do these as its a good way to improve recovery after short bursts...which will be good for when I play rugby in april/may. Add in a few hill runs and situps/crunches, it turns into a pretty mean cardio session.

Pretty stoaked with my weight loss - it works out to 11.1 kgs in 7 weeks. Awesome!

The lightest I've weighed since I've been an adult was 115 kg, so I'm hoping to smash that out of the park this time next week.
Stay Tuned :p

Wow, Vince, 2 kgs in one week - :):)that's amazing. And total loss of 11.1 kgs in 7 weeks is even more amazing.

You're making great progress on the running too which is fabbo, and a great healthy way to get superfit and burn calories and sooooo much better than stuck on the old treadmill!

Ooh and don't let your brother tempt you with his crummy food ! It's not worth it, it never is! Have a bunch of fruit instead and talk about how soon you'll have a nice six pack to show off because of your super will power. He just might get jealous and follow your example.

Congrats and keep up the good work !! :cheers2:

Hey Vince, been catching up on your diary - wow what great progress. I bet 115kg is just around the corner and what a milestone that is - the lightest you've been in your adult life! Pretty impressive :)

It sounds like groups/weekly meetings and exercise events work well for you as motivators in your calender. Keep it up and I hope the prep for the fun run goes well :)

not a great few days... since Wednesday I've only had a 30min game of touch rugby (Should be way more active), and have eaten pretty bad...Carls Jr, a Kebab, and sausage roll and Pastry thing....not looking forward to getting weighed on Tuesday.

Maybe a run tomorrow and Monday might save me....

Ooh looking good Mr Vega. Can definitely see a big difference in those pics, just keep up the good work, you're gonna be beating the chicks off with a stick soon! :)

you can def see a difference in your pics!, awesome stuff! , and dont beat your self up about not having a great few days, staying positive always helps :)

Haha cheers Sophie...Ladies, form an orderly cue :p
Yeah Im starting to see the results now, which is pretty cool...it's nice when others notice but yeah, way more awesome when you can see the results your self.

Thanks guys for the kind words though, makes me feel more motivated when I think others are checking up on me haha.

Down a KG from last week...stoaked as, considering I ate pretty poorly.

I've got a mate getting back from her OE on Thursday and my sisters b day, so not sure how I'll go this week, but pretty keen to get down to 113.9 by next week, so will have to be good :p

Oops!
So my friend came back from her OE and insisted that we gorge ourselves on New Zealand food - Pies, biscuits, Kiwi Onion Dip (best thing EVER), and ofcourse we had to catch up over a few(too many) beers, so I've put on 1.2kg this week...up to 116.7.
I didn't do any working out too, so I'm getting stuck in tonight and am back on the shakes...so I'm hoping to quickly knock that 1.2 off and get under 115 by Monday next week....I'm confident that I'll be able to do it.

And heres me thinking all of that dancing(probably can't call it dancing though :p) we did at the pubs on Friday would have saved me...gutz!
