Hi to any one who might be reading this!

Like many others iv decided to keep a wee diary of my journey and my activities and such during the week...

You can read my more lengthy intro under the newcomers section but basically im a 23 yr old girl from NZ who has decided that 2013 is going to be her year!
Some of my goals this year include finding a new place to live, loosing weight and getting fit and starting studying for my masters!

I Have this week started on the Kate Morgan diet which is replacing 2x meals a day. My first two days have been prety good, I tried one of the mint choc flavoured shakes for brekkie this morning which was very tastey!
I am looking forward to trying the others!!

Aswell as the diet I am off to the Gym after work today for an appointment to go over my goals etc.
Feeling a bit nervous and excited (going to the gym worked awesome for me in the past!!)

Last time i weighed my self I was about 103 kgs, or 226 pounds i think?? , however i will get a more accuarate idea when i go to the gym tonight and will post my stats after that.

Right time for work!
:)

Yay, go the kiwis (an I suppose Aussies too :p).
Good luck and good work for getting started

Do you have goal weight or an event you have coming up?

Thanks heaps guys! nice to see a few others from this neck of the woods...

My First small goal is to get back in the 90s (which im hoping wont be too hard!! haha) but my ultimate goal would be to get down to 75ish.. Im going to discuss all this with the lady at the gym (whats realistic for my height and such) tonight so hopefully i will have some goals set in stone by then!
:)

Thanks Justina!

So i had my first session at the gym today.
I felt sooo self conscious at first because the girl taking my measurements and stuff was a gorgeous tiny little blonde girl! eek, but i managed to relax a bit and she was really nice.
Im offish weighing in at 102.5 now, and my height is 173cm

I had a good first session did loads of cardio and slowly remembered how it all worked! , tomorrow after work ill be going through some weights and other bits and pieces.

Had a wee bit of an unhappy afternoon at work , i told one of my workmates I was starting on the Kate Morgan diet, she pretty much just lectured me on how they dont work and how its a stupid idea etc. It upset me a little bit..
I would be completely fine if it had a been a bit of friendly advice or CONSTRUCTIVE crisicism, but it was not nice at all, i was glad to get out of there at 5pm!

anyway to end on a positive note im looking forward to the gym tomorrow night and have had a great day sticking to the diet (im only on day 3 but so far so good!)

bring it on!

x

Thanks for checking out my diary, I decided to check yours out too, fellow newbie. =]

Best of luck in your weight loss journey, I'm excited to see how it turns out for you.

Its frustrating when people bag the things your trying to do to improve your life - Im doing herbalife atm, and over Christmas my sister (who isn't exactly a model of healthy living ) had a big go at me and how crap this stuff is ect., even though I had already lost about 7kgs in a short space of time. Really irks me when people are overly negative!

Just think in about 6 weeks or so when you've lost weight and are feeling awesome and looking better, how smug you can be while talking to her :p Pretty good motivation I think!

Hey where abouts in NZ are you?

I think all those diet models like Kate morgan and jenny C etc work, and they can be a great start into losing some weight quickly. I'm not sure about the transition when you've lost the weight, but that'd be a nice problem to have later down the track.

Ignore your workmate, people try to help us fail even if they don't mean to. I'm sure you are going to do really well.

aww thanks heaps guys your support is awesome!

@vincevega it is frustrating but you are totally right it will be worth it to look back in a few weeks and say HA! proved you wrong :p

and thanks heaps anna.banana :) i agree the transition and maintenance bit would be a bit difficult but i will cross that bridge when i come to it lol

Oh and btw I am from the mighty Naki!, how about you other kiwis?

Not a jafa yet... thats what they all say!! :p

So i had my second sesh at the gym today, feeling tired but a its a good kind of tired!

I know i have a reasonably busy day tomorrow, I have to orientate a new employee starting tomorrow to our programme (which should be interesting considering iv only been there a few months my self.... hmm go figure!)
But i will be hitting the gym again, one of the girls convinced me to do a 30 min circuit class, wee bit nervous about it and rather hoping i manage to not look like a complete dork!

4th day of the diet went well! . I had a choc orange shake for brekie (yuuum) and one of the kate morgan 'cremes' for lunch, OMG tastey, it was pretty much like choclate mousse, and sooo suprisingly filling!! i will definately have to stock up on these at the weekend!

So things are going well at the moment, im starting to get a bit anxious about the weekend though. Traditionally i would either be out with the girls on a saturday night (having too much alcohol, too many nibbles and probably hangover food!) or blobbing in front of the telly with a dvd and junk......

Any tips on getting through??. Im thinking i will hit the gym on saturday morning and i think i will just have to find bits and pieces to keep occupied.

Ok this has become quite lengthy! i need to stop waffling, hope every one had a great day, im off to russell up something for dinner

peace
x

I had a great third sesh at the gym today, went through some of the weights and other bits with one of the girls and did a 30 min circuit class plus a bit more cardio, phew I am tired now!! and glad to be home after a busy day at work

mint choc shake for brekie and meal replacement chocy bar for lunch plus loads of water.
we have this "tucker truck" that comes arround at work at 10.45 every day with hot food and all that sort of thing, soooo tempted to go buy something today but i managed to resist.
And now off to find something for dinner!!

:)

Your making me want to invest in a blender lol. I want some shakes! Did you end up making a dork of yourself in the circuit class? Also congrats on resisting those temptations! I try to think of it like my tongue is brainwashing me, so I just yell at it sometimes, eventually it will stop wanting yummy greasy stuff. Maybe I shouldn't do that in public so often. :S

hehe that made me laugh
do it they are great! , having said that my shakes come all pre made so all i have to do is add water and shake up in my shaker :p (lol how many times can you say shake in one sentance)
I probably made a bit of a dork out of my self but i wasnt the only newby there so it was all ooooooook!

still feeling a bit nervous about the weekend and resisting temptation but im feeling pretty positive that the week has gone well so i can do it!

hope everybody else out there has had a great week!

Experienced lifters have a lot of respect for newbies getting in and having a go, well done lifting some weights today.
