Kez tries again!!!

My next mini goal: Loose 2 more pounds by next Monday, which will bring my weight to 149 and my BMI to 24.9, officially healthy again yay!

I'll dot his by aiming for a calorie deficit of 1000 every day :)

Wow that's great!! That's real cause for celebration!! You can start your extra study already in the healthy zone!

:D:D:D CONGRATULATIONS :D:D:D

It's a surprise to me to see there is 26 lbs between your now healthy BMI and your goal weight. I guess I didn't realize there was such a big range of ok weights for a particular height.

Thanks hon!! I did reach it before Christmas but sneaked over it again grrr, never mind, living in the present and for the future!! There's no point regretting messing up, but I'm doing my best to fix it now!

Congratulations! Almost out of the 150s! Must feel fantastic. Keep up the EXCELLENT work and good luck on your project.

Hey Kezzy. I like your attitude. Nobody messed up over the holidays more than I did because I started with my birthday November 30th and continued through receiving my masters December 13th. The thing is, these things just slows us down, they don't stop us. Only we can do that.

Hello :)

Hi Kezzy! Was just reading through your diary - sounds like you are doing really well! I identified with a lot of stuff!! My reasons for losing weight are almost identical to yours and like you, my face looks like a beetroot when I run and for about 2 hours afterwards! I am a Brit though so I do recognize all your foods and did giggle at the crumpet discussion!
Good luck, keep up the hard work and you'll fit into that gorgeous dress in no time! Rachie :D

Not quite as good as I'd planned to be when I set my goals, coz of that darned chocolate!! But, I still had a VERY good calorie deficit, so it's OK.

Verdict
Original plan was to NOT have the crumpets, and to do another exercise dvd, but for various resons (all of which sound more like excuses when I say them out loud!) that didn't happen. Never mind, it was still a reasonably good day, just not a great one!!

Now to make sure tomorrow is a great day

Goals for tomorrow
1) Walk 1 hour
2) Water aerobics 1 hour
3) Calories 1400
4) Drink LOTS of water
5) Get to bed by 11 tonight!!

Good days count too don't they. :)
I totally relate to the "sound like excuses when I say them out loud!" That's one of the ways I think my diary really helps - it helps me notice things like that and gives me a chance to have a better look at what's really going on.
I see now that I celebrated your BMI a little early. Never mind. I will celebrate again very soon!! :)

Congrats on a bunch of good days in a row Kezzy! I love when I think I've messed up big time, then I put everything in and find it's still under my weight loss limit. :D

Nothing wrong with good days! Better than not-so-good days, that's for sure. You're kicking butt. Your meals always sound sooo yummy too.

Fellow Red faced Brit :)

Hi Kezzy! I am a Welsh girl studying in Virginia. I miss a lot of the foods you were talking about and know what it's like when people don't know what you are on about. People always think I am weird when I say I love baked beans on toast or on a baked potato - but they are soooo good - with cheese of course!!! By the way I have found I get less red after exercise (okay a slight bit less) if I drink loads of water!
Hope you are having a great week!
Rachie :)

red and glowing :D

I think i perfected that - im a horror! and i sweat like a guy all off my face.
When i go out clubbing i cant wear foundation because it looks terrible pouring down my face with sweat ! Ive even gone as far as using antipersprant on my face before going out lol :D

Ill try the water trick though, see if it helps with the redness!

Ugh, I despise the redness! I don't sweat a whole lot, but I get really red around my cheeks and chin. Apparently it's worse for people who have sensitive skin, which I do. So I've heard that you should wash and moisturize your face with sensitive skin products as soon as you're done working out, before the sweat gets a chance to dry in. I've been doing that and it doesn't work right away, but it reduces the length of time my face stays red. Just something to try!
