I am pretty new to this site but it gives me so much motivation! The stories on here have inspired me so much. I have been trying to lose weight since I was a freshman in highschool. I have competivley swam my whole life and I am very muscular but the problem is that I always ate whatever I wanted...I stopped swimming when I graduated high school and that is when the weight started creeeping up...fast :(. I am currently a junior in college and I am really ready to do this. I am currently at 191 pounds...the highest I have ever been is 200.5. My goal is to be down to 120... I am 5'6''. I have been yo-yo dieting forever and I am finally ready to stop messing around and get serious. I have joined weight watchers with my mom who is amazing support. I track what I eat everyday and I also do some kind of workout, whether is is going to the gym or doing a workout dvd. My fiance also has been awesome support. I really just want to feel better about myself. I have very low self esteem and I just want to be comfortable in my skin. This summer I would really like to be strutting around in my sexy bikini.:blush5: ! I can't wait to see my transformation :party:

PS If anyone has any ideas or tips they would be very much appreciated :) thank you for taking the time and good luck to everyone!!!

Today I:

Ate:
cheerios (1 cup with 1/2 cup of skim milk) 3 pts.
chix. noodle soup (1 can) 3 pts.
pudding (sugar free banana w/skim milk) 4 pts.
club crakcers (reduced fat) (15 crackers) 3 pts.
chix noodle soup (1 can) 3pts.
apple (2 medium apples) 3 pts.

Drank:
10 glasses of water
6 glasses of green tea

Excercise:
Billy's Boot camp 45min
Step Aerobics 20 min

I also started tracking how many steps I take this afternoon and I will be keeping track of that everyday starting tomorrow. So far today I have walked 4,332 steps.

I am really looking forward to the weather to start warming up! I live in WI and it has been ice storms and snow for quite awhile and I really would enjoy to go outside and rollerblade, bike, swim, etc :)
 
This week has been very different...I work at a call center and everyday I go in at 6am and they send me home at 6:40 am...soooo with gas being so explensive this really annoys me...but the good thing is that I get the rest of the day off to focus on losing weight..working out...and eating healthy. I am thinking about starting a new hobby...not sure what yet...something to keep me busy and away from food! Any suggestions??? I guess I really should enjoy this time off seeing as school starts again on Monday:banghead:I really am not ready to go back...it is a lot harder to focus on weightloss when I have school and work everyday..but no excuses! I am going to use any free time I have to workout and be healthy. Well I am going to go get some stuff done but I will post more tonight.:bigear:
 
HMMM! So I am in a bit of a dilemma right now...my friend and I are supposed to hang out in a little while and she wants to go out to eat...I really don't want to because where she wants to go there isnt anything really healthy...i tried making some other suggestions (go to mall, movie, work out, etc.)but she wants to eat:banghead:i have been doing so good and dont want to blow it by eating out. She is pregnant and hungry all the time so it seems like all she wants to do...I love her...she's a great friend but I would rather not spend our time eating...plus she is already extremely skinny she weighed 108 lbs...not easy having a skinny friend..lol...so anyways...any ideas? does anyone have friends like this? i was thinking about telling her i don't feeel well but then she will tell me to stay home and rest and I havent seen her in awhile...blah...sorry about boring anyone who is reading this but I dont know what to do.
 
Tell her to come over, and you can order delivery/takeout for her, but eat whatever healthy food you've got yourself?

A real friend wouldn't be fixated on what she wants to the exclusion of accommodating your needs at least a little. :)
 
hey focus, that's a good idea...i have plenty of healthy food...so i will hopefully convince her to eat at my place and she can order whatever lol :p
 
she acctually listened to me and ate at my place...thanks focus...even though she complained that i need to eat fat food with her because she doesnt like the ide of me getting skinny and her gaining weight..ha:party:

turkey sub from subway with lettuce and tomatoes 5 pts
bananas (2) 2 pts
apple (1) 1pt
chix noodle soup (1 can) 4 pts

excercises:

elliptical machine
walked 10,500 steps (when not working out)

pretty good day overall...i am very happy that I have off until Tuesday! WOOHOO! Sucks tho that most of the time will be trapped at my place because of snow...i miss snowboarding :(
 
I am so wide awake right now! Ahh! I really need to start getting more sleep but I just can't...think that school and work keep my mind going all the time. I know that sleep is a major key to weight loss...I am going to try and do some yoga...the lady on the video is pretty creepy..:eek:
 
UGH! I wish I didn't sleep in this morning! But on the positive note I have off today! Today my goal is to walk 10,600 steps (not including my workout) (i take the pedomter off during my workouts). I also plan on going to the gym and doing the elliptical machine for 45 minutes and then joggin on the track...then hitting some weights. Well have a great day everyone and I will be back later :)
 
Today was a good day overall. I finished most of my goals. I went to the gym and worked out on the treadmill, elliptical, weights and went on the track (i am really looking forward to some warm weather so I can go out and jog).

Today I ate:
cheerios (1 cup with 1/2 cup milk) 3 pts
banana 1 pt
chix noodle (1 can) 4 pts
club crackers (reduced fat-20 crackers) 4 pts
vanilla pudding (sugar free made with skim milk-1pckg) 4 pts
green beans (1 can-sodium free) 1 pt

Steps-pedometer (not worn while working out)- 8,089 steps ....still going to go to walmart so that will be quite a lot of steps added...i take forever shopping lol
 
Ooh, a trip to Walmart always means I get my steps in. I like to take the scenic route inside the store, and I park far away if I can.
 
allyphoe-yeah me too! i park really far away...which my fiance complains about because its too cold lol but i do it anyways...and then i walk up and down every aisle basically! walmart people scare me lol! but the prices are affordable ha!
 
Today was another great day :) I am so motivated right now to lose weight and become healthier...everyone on this site helps motivate and inspire me through words and pictures! I am really going to go through with this and learn to have a healthier lifestyle...FIT FOR LIFE!

Protein bar (slimfast meal bar...normally try avoiding unless I have no time to make a lunch) 6 pts

Lean Pocket (ham and cheddar 1) 5 pts
Chix noodle (1 can) 4 pts
Green beans (1/2 can sodium free) 0 pts

Excercise:
Billy's Boot camp 45 minutes
Steps(pedometer as of right now)4,928 (not worn while working out)

Tomorrow I am going to the zoo and the mall with my family! That should definately add a lot of steps to my pedometer!

:) Keep this mindset and I am on my way to the new me :)
 
Today went by too fast :( tomorrow I am back in school! YUCK! I am so ready for summer! When I am in school I have trouble making sure I get a good workout in everyday so I need to stay focused!

Steps 5,547 (with school starting tomorrow I should be getting lots of steps in walking to classes...i have to park really far away)
