kelly's diary

Hi Kelly, I saw on the news you guys are getting some record heat on the West Coast. I'm looking forward to a trip to Okanagon in 2 weeks. We'll camp at Lake Gallagher.
Are you ever doing great on the exercise ... fantastic. And living without a car...that puts a whole new flavor on life. I did that for a year when I lived in Calgary. And if I move to Vancouver, I'll likely share my brothers or go without. Skytrain and bicycle! If you have pictures of the gorgeous place you live, it would be great if you could post them on here.
Your book sounds interesting.
Have a great Friday!

I'm a little worried about my night time nibbling. I guess I'll have to estimate how many crackers (and butter) and even a bite of cake I eat in the middle of the night. Kind of spoils the fitday thing.

Thanks for all the support guys. You make me wanna keep going. Think I'll ride to the thrift store (15K) to buy a couple of frames for kids photos.

I'll try to get to your diaries when I get back.

Thanks for the love.

If you do a little night time nibble here and there, as long as your biking or doing some type of exercise through your day that little bit isn't going to be a big problem. If your eating half a ream of crackers and a block of cheese, well then you need to come up with other night time nibbling snacks, because that will certainly do you in. HAHAHA maybe some cold grapes, put them in the freezer and eat those in the middle of the night, OH ARE THEY GOOD!!! maybe substitute the crackers for a wheat thin, or a baked chip of some sort instead, unless that's what your eating already. It's hard when you get the munchies I know!! Good luck, I know you'll do fine!! Keep up your cycling, that is so awesome!! :)

Night time nibbling is a hard thing to beat. I find myself wanting to eat all sorts of things around 11pm - midnight. So to avoid this, I made a rule for myself. I don't eat after 9:30pm (unless there's a special occasion like eating out with friends, etc.) It took me over a year to conform to the rule, and when I did, a whole bunch of weight just started melting away. If I get hungry, I make myself a mug of green tea and have a tiny bit of honey in it, but I avoid the food as best as I can.

Hey Kelly those cals do add up real fast--I speak from experience. One thing I suggest is having healthy things to nibble on so you can still nibble late at night without adding three or four hundred calories to your day.

Hey you excellent on the biking - do you still want that bike I have my folks are coming over on Tuesday and I could get them to bring it back for oyu and all you would have to do is go over there and pick it up - let me know ka :):):)Im looking forward to seeing you agian and going for coffee and a walk...I am asking for the second week of August off because my folks will be here for the day of the 5th to go to my cousins receptiona nd then I can just come back wiht them.Plus I have no daycare for 2 weeks - so it is the best time to take a week off...

What a nice pic, you look so relaxed. I love that there's a bottle of water and your bike in the pic. If that doesn't say a thousand things...

Have a great Sunday!

What a wonderful picture, I felt like I was right there with you and we were talking about stuff for the day. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. Enjoy the rest of your day!!
