kelly's diary

Good for you on your running, Kelly. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to show up, and the rest will take care of itself.

Thanks for the gentle kick in the pants you guys. It really is the way to go.

My hairdresser has recently overcome breast cancer and I was taking in her wisdom yesterday. She said it (weight loss and everything) has to start with self-love. That you 've got to read the ingredients on a bag of Doritos and ask yourself, would you give that to your dog? She is very wholesome and I want to be that way too.

Yeh for inner smiling.

Love is a vegetable. Vegetables are love.

I wouldn't care how I looked if I were a long distance runner. I'd like that wild half-crazed look in my eye that runners sometimes get.

Make love make vegetables.

Oh yeah, John's coming for dinner. Guess what we're having...

Roast vegetables, romaine salad with feta and banana, dal and chapatis.

I'll catch up with you all later.

Very nice one running in the rain and experiencing the way it lifts your mood. :)

I hope you have a lovely dinner. At least you know for sure the food will be lovely!

Good dinner, John very chatty as usual.

Today's run 40 minutes was followed by and hour and 20 minute walk during which I met up with a fit and trim 85 year old man pushing his bike up a hill. Very enjoyable.

He is trying to help his daughter lose weight and he wants to know my story. I'm going to write him a letter and go see about his garden.

Hi Kelly,
I hope you have a good weekend - it sounds like your runs are really coming along!
