Hi Kelly...really hope you're feeling better this morning. Good and bad days, we all have 'em...sometimes for no reason in the world - just hormones having a bit of fun with us.

I just used fitday for the first morning in five days. I am so relieved to be doing it again. I was wondering if I had given up for good. Now I can KNOW that I've had a good day. I guess seeing my weight down this morning has renewed my faith. Besides, I want to see my chart all nicely filled out.
 
noticing

One thing I'm noticing is that these days I care a lot more about breakfast and lunch and I'm not eating so much in the evenings.
 
That's great news! I love to see the scale move down! and congrats on getting back to fitday. I have an account there, but don't really use it. I am using Spark People..

I need to set some mini goals..... hmmmm

luch I used to never eat breakfast and I think it helps when you get to lunch your not staving to death.My problem my tummy starts growling after hours

Thursday

Jogged two days in a row! First time I've done that. Pleased to report no shin splints today. No other issues. I think that might be a minor miracle.
The first 50 minute jog/walk was the work, the remaining 40 minutes was just for fun! Also gardened for 1 1/2 hours. Lots of calories out, 1850 in. I'm back.

Wow, Kelly, you're doing great! Jogging 2 days in a row and gardening! Congrats on the weight loss and great attitude. Nice to read your diary.

I get a bit of pain still when i jog so i dont do it too often :O
 
Hello :) I haven't visited you for a few days and look what happened. No shin splint problems, you've been jogging twice in a row and you've hit 188lbs!!!! Congrats Kelly - that's all fantastic stuff!
 
Hey it's my first time snooping around in here--great job! Good for you for jogging often--I hope you can find a soft, dirt trail somewhere--it should not cause shin splints--and look at you losing 12 lbs--that is so much weight!! Congrats!
 
Good for you Kelly - 188 and joggin 2 days in a row Im just tryin to job 2 days in a week lol - I need to really make myself do it - I dont liek it much but know it is a good form of exercise - I am lookin into a running club that meets one day a week and it starts in April...I might join that...

Your doing great - I am proud of you girl !!!
 
Run Kelly Run:) I don't know how tall you are but you are almost the exact same weight I was when I started running...just remembering how much mental and physical discipline it took at that point (not to mention poking and prodding) makes me sooooo proud of you.

My chart looks like this:

Sorry those numbers didn't line up but you can figure it out. I'm nearly always coming out with a surplus but I've gone down a pound so I must be in a deficit. I don't think all this number crunching is really all that accurate. I mean I've seen five different maintenance levels for a person my size. How do I pick one? I've been using 1953 because I think its pretty and I like it but I don't really know. And I'm seeing a lot of surpluses when I might actually be in a deficit.

I think there might be a better way. Just aim for 2250 calories as Steve suggested. (challenge enough) That should put me in a deficit. But I wonder how much of a deficit he is thinking that would be?

I'll ask him.

I have spent way too much time and effort on this post but I need to get sorted out.
