It was a combination of boredom/hunger I suppose.



Oh well. Im starting my vigorous training tomorrow! (Yes, that is what Im going to call my pathetic workouts.)

Vigorous Training-
15-25 minutes of stretching (I didnt keep track, but I will next time.)
Week 3 run, I didnt run at all the times I was supposed to though. :(

Crap I ate today-
Breakfast- 2 eggs/ no yok w/ 1 piece wheat bread
Snack- 1 cheesestick
Lunch- 1 cup re fried beans on 1 wholewheat tortilla w/ cheese
Snack- 2/3 cup craisins
Dinner- Tuna w/ light mayo in a wholewheat tortilla w/ lettuce


I went out on a limb today and decided a vegetarian diet isnt for me after some... testing. We bought tofu, soba noodles, and I even tried vegetable stir fry! I spit all three out too! The tofu was absolutely revolting. It made me want to eat oatmeal to get the flavor out of my mouth. It was all soooo nasty, so Ive made yet another NEW diet pan!

Only eat meat once a day, under 4oz. The only meat I can eat is chicken, tuna, and turkey burger. And all of the frozen fish out in the garage that my step dad caught.

Yuck.

Why do I feel like such failure for giving up the vegetarian diet so early?
Well, my mom was completely against it and trying to get me to eat meat the whole time, so I dont know how much longer I couldve lasted. Moderation I guess.

And Ill start walking to the library tomorrow! Today was a warm up day!

Vigorous Training-
2.5 mile walk to library. 1 hr. long. It was hot out and the road wasnt flat, so thats myexcuse for it taking so long.
263 calories burned. (Thats what the website said, anyways.)
25 minutes of some lame exercise ball insturction video. -125 calories burned
30 minute mile. Incline- 6.5 Speed- 2.2- About 250 calories burned

Crap Ive eaten-
Breakfast- 1/2 cup egg beaters w/ 1 piece wholewheat bread- 180 calories
Snack- Shredded cheese w/ 1/2 wheat wrap- 160 calories
Lunch- 1/2 cup baby carrots. 1 cheese stick. 18 pretzels. 1 1/4 cup kix- 305 calories
Snack- Less than 3/4 cup brown rice. I figured that would make up for the fake butter&soy sauce. -160 calories
Im also enjoying a diet root beer right now. Yummmm. Zerooo calories. (One can only imagine what chemicals are in it!)
Dinner- 1 1/2 cup tomato soup(150). 1/3 cup shredded cheese(110), 1Tbs sunflower seeds. (47 calories)- 307 calories
Another snack- Medium/small apple- 45 calories,
1157 calories today.

Im going to start counting calories. Yay me.
Ive already made a list of everything I eat in my house and how many calories per serving, so Ill look over it before I eat a meal. Im going to try to have 5 meals a day, 300 calories each. I think Ill just map out what Ill eat each day, so then I wont have to worry.

Breakfast- 9:30 300 calories
Snack- 12:30 150 calories
Lunch- 2:30 300 calories
Snack- 4:30 150 calories
Dinner- 6:30 300 calories

Yay! Its just like a school scheduel all over again!

Im going to have 1200 calories each day, or very close to it.

I think Ill ask my mom to get me a fod scale so Ill be more accurate. Hmmmmm.

I feel like shit. Im tired as hell. Ugh.

I think Ill have tuna for dinner. Maybe Im lacking protein or something.

I don't want to discourage you, but 1200 calories is really low and will probably end up slowing your metabolism in the long run. A very general, broad guideline I've heard for losing weight is to eat between 8-12x your body weight, starting off higher and adjusting down if necessary. As you lose weight, you'll need to eat less calories bc your body will require less, but if you're eating at 1200 now you really have no room to move down. I know it sounds contradictory, but eating too little will eventually have detrimental effects on your weight loss efforts. It took me a loooong time to figure that one out.
 
Well, Im pretty full most of the day when I eat that amount... OH well. I guess Ill just throw alot more fruit and other healthy crap to add more calories. Ill aim for 1400 a day, then gradually move down to 1200 after a while. Thank you for the advice.

Snack- 1.5 cups tomato soup(150) 1/4 cup shredded cheese(90 calories?)- 240/250 calories
Dinner- 3/4 cup whole wheat pasta(180) 1/2 cup hunts sauce(50) 1/2 piece wholewheat bread(50) little parmesan cheese(30?)-310/300 calories

1117/ 1400calories today.

Commentary-

Well, Im feeling alot better now.
My mom and I have been in the kitchen cooking for 45-1hr, and even with delicious greasy bacon bits ready for the taking, I havent been tempted at all! Its strange, really. The only thing Ive eaten is a piece of boiled eggs, smaller than my finger nail, just to see if I liked the taste.

I have been living off of Extra gum though. It keeps me content until my next meal.

Im starting kickboxing next month! Yay!

My mom got an all month pass, so that means I can go into every class they have for the entire month, even 4 times a day!

My sister is going to do it too, so I hope she sticks with it. Im going to go every weekday once I warm up to it. Im so excited.
 
161.5 today. I havent exercised for a week, but Ive stuck to my diet. Well, by diet I mean barely eating anything because all I do is go on the computer all day.

SO. Today thats all going to change! Im going to ask to goto kickboxing tomorrow, and seeing as how my sunburn is almost painless, Ill run on the treadmill too.
 
My diet has been a little screwy lately. I keep giving into restaurants because my family keeps deciding to go out to eat. NOT ANYMORE. Im going to stop doing that from this point on.
Besides that, Im doing pretty decent on the diet, not
keeping track of calories though. I dont stuff my face, but Im also not as strict as I was before.

Ive been walking around town lately, thus the sunburn that is covering my chest/ arms/ back/ shoulders/ calves/ face.
So not all is lost, no?
 
Went to kick boxing for a second time yesterday, so now I am sore as hell today. But my mom signed me up for the class, so now I can walk/ ride my bike down there!

How much have you been eating??? You don't want to screw up your metabolism by eating too little. It's not worth it.

Im going to do a 3 day water fast starting tomorrow. I figure itd be a good time to do that, Id kickstart my weight loss for the month and Ive already cut back on calories, so what the hell!

Let me tell you something, I am not pleasant when Im hungry.
 
I don't want to keep lecturing you, but 1000 calories is way too low, and a water fast is a dumb idea. If you want to lose weight and KEEP it off you have to be doing things that are sustainable for a lifetime. I don't want to discourage you, but I think you're setting yourself to gain all of your weight back by approaching it this way. It is not healthy no matter how healthy the food you are eating is.

That really doesn't sound nice of your mum but you should be losing weight for yourself, not for anyone else.

If you have factored the tortilla chips into your daily calories who cares what your mum says. YOU know it's not bad for you. Seriously, all mum's can be like that. My mum can be a right bitch at times but so can I, fasting is really a stupid idea. That's where problems like eating disorders can start, and that is something you do not want to get involved with.

Next time something like that happens just eat the chip in front of her, if you know it is not going to affect your daily calories then just do it to annoy her.
Fasting is never the answer.
