Kate craving a healthy mind and body!!

Glad you dusted yourself off & moved on. Don't freak out if the beer whacks on quite a few pounds. They will go just as quickly. Moderation is bloody difficult. I'm not sure how people do it really. Our Sunday night "treats" platter is mostly fruit, with a few sweet treats. I would hate to think what I would do if I said to myself I could eat anything for a whole day. Scary! Enjoy your week-end sweetie xoxo Cate

Awesome job losing the 7lbs miss kate.
High five to you.......
I haven't touched the scale in a week and won't until this Sat. maybe.
Sorry to hear about your "grumby" day, but it sounds like you made it through it ok.
Loved hearing about your walk. Me and the wife will go for walks like that every so often. And this time of year we enjoy a lot because everything is turning green from the long winter. Especially like going now also because it is Mushroom time so we go out and walk the woods looking for mushrooms I can cook up and eat. YUMMY!!!!!!

Well I just realized I read way to many threads. Part of that last post was actually suppose to be for another posted thread..smh..Was posting on your thread and thinking about the other at the same time....

So ashamed..lol

Kate, how did I miss this 7lbs loss news!!!! Awesome job, my friend!! Yay.

Come back and tell us about the beer festival. It sounds totally awesome.

Hi all

Yes the beer festival was great :) :cheers2: Drank lots of beer and listened to some really good local bands. But.........Also ate stuff I shouldn't have due to being a little drunk :blush5:

Anyway, that was yesterday and I have moved on and not dwelt on it :)

Can't remember what day t is so i'll just write lol

Lunch: Ham, lettuce and light mayo wholemeal sandwich, low cal crisps and yoghurt with berries
Dinner: Roast chicken, dry roast potato, carrots, swede, cauliflower cheese, peas and gravy
Snacks: Banana, apple, cereal bar, Satsuma and a small glass of red wine

Exercise:
25 min dog walk
60 min walk/interval run

I've had a good day food wise. Was determined to get back into a normal healthy eating routine and I managed it. I kept telling myself that I should go for a run after work and spent all day arguing with myself but.......I DID IT!!!! I did interval running but it was still running. I did 6 lots of 2 min run/2 min walk in my walk. Took my new dog running with me. I felt great for actually doing it :) Tomorrow, my aim is to do a 30 min aerobic dvd workout.

Sorry it's a quicky tonight, I've got a lot to do. Much love to all and a huge thank you for your encouragement!! xoxo

Lol at you not knowing what day it is!!! Sounds like you're having a lot of fun, and you're right back into your routine again... Good on you!! I'm typically a mess after a night of drinking and only grease calms me down.

It's always good to take a day off now and then. Just don't make it a habit.
Overall it sounds like you had a great time. Nothing like enjoying music with friends and some beer.

Hi all :)

Busy day today. Work, took Sky to the vets for blood tests (not nice :( ) made some soup, had dinner and then onto scouts.......and breath.
Not been home long, 9.45pm was the first time today I saw my son! And now off to bed.

Not a brilliant food day but hey, it's mostly controlled. Just keep going Kate. Not too confident that i'll have a loss this week, sneakily weighed this morning and I was 3lb back up  Whoops!!!

Hahaha, ok I should've realised that about the day thing!! Gotcha!

Eh, the 3lb gain will just be fluid from the weekend. If you're good the rest of the week I'm sure you'll see that gone again!! Remember a pound is 10,500 extra cals, and I'm sure you didn't eat over by that much!!! I'm battling fluid at the moment too, urgh was 2kgs up on weigh day cuz tom is due. It sucks, but I didn't do anything wrong! Lol! Just keep going!

Kate i think mum is rightBeer!!!
Dont get down on hthis keep trying. No change will come if you give up.Well there will be change but not a nice one!
Is Sky alright?you said blood test not nice....i hope She is.
Waiting for your update today!

I've had a good food day :) Was going to go running and take Sky with me but she refused and just stood there so we just walked (weird dog, maybe she's sore after being at the vets yesterday :( ) so just walked today.

Tomorrow afternoon I am going camping with some of the explorers!!!! The weather is gonna be rubbish too. Not going to have too much control over what I eat but i'll try and be good. I'll be back on sunday evening.

Cate
Yes mum :) I know it's beer :blush5: I have been good since and I'm gonna aim to just keep plodding on. I do have lots of things coming up this summer. Scout camps, camping weekends, 3 festivals etc so it will be a case of just trying my best. And upping the exercise. I am being hassled to join a running club

Lucy
Aww bless you, you're as special as me :) Hopefully I will manage to get rid of that weight. I'm away for the weekend tomorrow so wont be home for weigh day...........I'll leave it until next Saturday!

Sky has arthritis! We knew this when we got her. We got her from a charity called 'Dog Trust' and if the dog has something wrong with them already then they pay for any treatment and drugs she will need. Anyway, she is only 5 and has arthritis in all of her joints, which is really unusual, especially at her age so they want to refer her to a orthopaedic vet!!!! They did loads of blood tests and fluid test on her joints when she was at the kennels and they wanted another one so we took her along yesterday and it really stressed her out :( I hated seeing her like that!
It made me think that actually she is fine in herself, just a little bit stiff occasionally but she has drugs for that. She charges around like a puppy a lot! We kinda don't want them poking and prodding her around just for the sake of it. Am I making sense? She is a rescue dog, hasn't she been thru enough? I just want her to be as happy and stress free as she can be now.

Ok, people. Wish me luch with the explorers this weekend. It'll be really active though (if the rain isn't too bad) so should be fun. Back on Monday probably as i'll no doubt walk in and go straight to bed on sunday lol

Much love xoxoxo

Just stay away from the toasted marshmallows and write the festivals off now. Festivals are the worst for food! I work at the same big one every year and the food is just terrible. It's all the same burger vans etc. in the public parts and the crew cafe should probably be shut down it's so bad! It basically leaves me with a packed lunch every single day and a lousy tasting puddle of gruel in the evening. The only exception to the festival food rule seems to be Glastonbury which had much more variety and better quality if you look around. Much better to take your own camping stove and cook but it takes so much time!

Hiya sweetie. What a busy life you have! I agree with you re. Sky btw. If the medication means she's pain-free then that's the main thing. She has a lovely new life with you & being poked & prodded seems unnecessary. Why don't you give the running club a try sweetie, if you can fit it in, that is. Lots of love xoxo Cate

Hi Guys :)

Hopefully i'll feel better tomorrow, I really want to be well.
