Kaitie's Open Diary

Hey Em!

My Monday was pretty good---I didn't have school! :)

Today's been fine and hopefully that 'large capacity' scale will get here soon so that John can start weighing himself more regularly. I really think that checking my weight everyday keeps me on track, knowing 'ok, that brownie really did stick to my hips' and then I can adjust immediatly (sp) rather than being surprised 2 weeks from now with 'Oh crap, I gained 8 pounds! I also ratted John out to his trainer--I knew he should be keeping a food journal and I've been nagging him about it for months now but I finally decided to ask his trainer and sure enough--he's supposed to be keeping a food journal everyday. Hopefully I get back on fitday and keep track there...the one week he did it (two weeks ago) he lost 7 pounds....It's because he was holding himself accountable!!! It's a lot harder to shove crap down your throat when you know that you have to write it down and see how wrong you've done. Anyway, I have drumline this afternoon and I really have no enthusiasm for it. *ick*

Amen sister on the food journal!!! As my friend says " you bite it you write it".
My sister lost 30 pounds just by doing a food journal...she stopped eating junk.

No kidding on the food journal. I have a daytimer notebook that goes in my purse everywhere with me. I have no excuse for not recording every calorie I consume on my page for the day, I mean, it has plenty of space. Course...daytimers don't fit in wallets so nice...lol...time to buy him a man bag!

12 pounds? Oh yeah...my crazy 169 night-time weigh in, thank goodness that wasn't true but yes I am super happy with my weight right now. Sadly it still looks like I have a long way to go in the gut area. Why is it that the only place that you want to lose weight is the last place you lose it? Oh and another thing that I'm trying not to dwell on too much---I had to order a bridesmaid dress ($250 freakin dollars) so I went to a store and sized myself out as a 16, which was a little big on me, (you know those darn dresses are sized so wrong anyway) but this store I ordered from insists that my measurements are for a size 18---come on! How many size 18 people do you know with a 34 inch waist. Am I wrong? It's ridiculous. I have a feeling that the dress is going to be swimming on me.

*tries to put that out of her mind again*

Wishing you a very happy almost Friday... Hope it's a great day today.

it's also be Humble day -- which personally i find silly - take a moment tobrag on your accomplishments... :)

Don't worry about the sizing on bridesmaids dresses -it's vanity sizing for the bride - the bride feels better about herself if she dresses her closest friends in unattractive expensive dresses sized 4x larger than they would normally wear :D

I am super happy with my weight right now.

That's all that matters Kaitie :) We're happy to see you lose weight as well :)

Screw dress sizes, that doesn't mean squat. I mean hell, you've lost over 20% of your weight !! nothing on a tag can bring that down ;)
