Kaitie's Open Diary

If you quit now, guess what happens? What weight did you start at? You'll be back there again, and maybe add on some more pounds on top of that. Keep telling yourself that when you have a bad day. That's what got me through last week...I REFUSE to go back to 200 lbs. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Hang in there Katie, I have come closet o giving up too, and I did give up...and geuss what, I QUICKLY gained back almost 10 POUNDS!!! DONT give up, you can do this, I know you can!

Ok, so I stuck it out---although I am severly depressed that I keep seeing the number 177.5. I've been eating under 1300 calories on most days...my average for the month is 1368, and I'm exercising so what the heck!!

Exercises for today:

7 miles on the bike = 200 calories
160 sit-ups
60 rotary torso (different machine than the torso twist)
30 overhead presses (hate those)
30 leg lifts
30 lateral raises (new for me)

Hopefully something will happen soon b/c I'm getting annoyed. Someone in another post said that they plateaued for 3 months...dude I would so give up. My ass still feels huge *waves a magic wand* 'Be gone fat ass!'

Oh don't give up! I did for almost a year and am only now losing again! ( Hopefully won't be so long for you!) But I lost inches first. Measure yourself and see if you've lost any that way. Muscal weighs more than fat and so maybe that's why. You've done good so far just by starting. I am in your corner cheering!!!!:)

yea, thats what i was gonna say, u are probably gaining muscle!!! Don't worry. I personally, would try to increase my calories by maybe 1-200 everyday for a week or so, but still exercise, just not as much, and then next week, go back down to 1300 and do ur normal workout routine. I have heard it helps ppl....I hope it will help you. I would also feel free to get a second opinion too!

Hey Katie,
Wow haven't visited in a couple days and I saw the word
"quit"! You have came along way to just give up.It gets flipping
frustrating seems like lots of work at times and the scale stays the same
or ya gain a lb but you gotta look at where you were a year ago and
where you are today! You can do this please don't give up.
Hope your day is ALOT better tomorrow! Tammy:)

Oh Dont give up - i know its hard - im having a plateau myself, try changing the diet and foods, try changing the types of exercises. give your body a wake up call doing different stuff.

*hugs*

Today was fine, nothing extraordinary.

Exercises:
152 calories on the bike
150 sit-ups
60 rotary torsos
60 leg presses
60 adductions
60 abductions

I so didn't want to do those sit-ups today but I'm determined--come hell or high water I'm going to shed this freakin' weight.

I've been eating Lean Cuisine for lunch and have decided that that's probably what's killing my weight loss, the sodium isn't enormous but I've drank 3 bottles of water (17 ounces each) today and have only pee-d once. Something is going on in the water retention department. So I'm only going to have salad for lunch from now until next Friday and I'm not eating any microwave dinners. If I'm still not at 175 by next Friday I'm going to punch something!

Thanks for all of the encouragement everyone, I really need it. *hugs*

Hiii Katie!! How you doin' girly?? Hang in there and don't punch anything... unless it's a punching bag, a side of beef... or my x. :D..lol You are not allowed to give up, I need your inspiration... how else will I work up to 200 situps if I don't have someone to do 201 and make me want to do 2 more??

Katie: yeah ive re-looked at what im eating and sticking mostly to protien and vege (cutting crap like pasta/bread/sauces/etc)

I think sometimes you gotta kickstart it again

Mornin' Kaitie!!! I'm glad you're going to hang in there. You are on the right track by eliminating extra sodium. I bet the scale will move for you next week. We all learn things about food and what's in it during this process!!! You may plateau from time to time, but look at it as you didn't gain right??

*a heavenly chorus of angels singing* Ahhhhhhhh!!!!

Finally people....finally, finally, finally I have met my first goal of 175!!

I got tears in my eyes when I read that; I'm so happy for you! And I'm slowly catching up...I've made it to the 170's finally! You are my inspiration Kaitie!

And yes, I agree about the lean cuisines. I believe for my weight, etc., sparkpeople says I should have no more than 2300 g of sodium a day, and those little boxes have between 600 and 900! I believe either T2 or HBL said that they are really only good for determining a good portion size:)

:( :( "Cries again" I live by these because I don't cook much
and if I did I wouldn't know how to make 1/2 the meals healthy
like the ones lean cuisine makes?Tammy:(
