HOLY CRAP! You can do 45 minutes on the heavybag? Are you some kind of freak, or what?

You must have boxed when you were younger. That's just a brutal workout.

I could only do 45 minutes on a heavybag if I was kicking it, too.

Most guys do about 10-15 minutes and they're done.

I do kick it too!!! :D Also, I have more than just a little bit of frustrations that I work out through BEATING the shit out of an inatimate object!!! ;) I am completely dead at the end of it, but damn it feels good!!! :D :)
 
Thanks Karl!!! I am consistant, but I'm getting TIRED!!! I need to focus on getting some good sleep!!!

As far as the bench goes... thanks! I'm getting back to where I was prior to giving up on me for 8 years!!! :D For you, someone who was never "athletic" as you said, doubling where you started from just 4 months ago is DAMN IMPRESSIVE!!!!!! Thanks for droppin' in bud!!

Always a great inspiration to check in on you JZ. I have been having sim ilar sleep troubles last few day. Also miles behind where I used to be on the Bench. I am lifting half what I did 4 years ago... I guess it takes more consistancy than I have been showing over the last few weeks!

Hey Paul!!! Just being consistant!! The routine is EASY, the commitment is the struggle.... you can do it bud... just live the lifestyle of a person that has the physique you are looking for!!! Consistancy will see you through!!

Thought it good to start with this quote from The Road Not Taken.
It seems lately, I need to read encouraging things to shift my mind into the right "perspective". I am tired lately, worn out physically and mentally... but still, I plug along! My workout today was HARD to get through, but I did, and feel great about it!! As I said to Paul... The routine is EASY!!! The concepts are basic and absolute truths!!! But the WORK, the ATTITUDE, and the DETERMINATION, is what is the struggle! Trops bud, gonna say you were right again, the workouts that you struggle through are probably more important than the ones you OWN!!! I'm gonna rate my workout today a 7.5 on effectivness, but a 10 for motivating me for the next one!!!

Upperbody workout... 52 minutes of forced focus.... but I DID IT!!

Eating- Just another day of healthy good fuel!!

JZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I missed reading your diary, but now I'm back to stay, as long as my computer agrees to it! Great idea with a quote, i too have felt worn out. It is draining trying to be everything at once, and sometimes I need to take a step back and ask myself why I am doing this. Even if I'm not on a diet, eating healthy is harder some days than most. Getting to the gym is harder some days than most. Some days I just want to sleep for 50 hours. Great job with that forced focus, I might have to try that today, my mind has been drifting.

Good job, JZ. You (and Trops) are right. Awesome workouts are great... but it's pushing through the workout you don't want to do or think you can't do that will build the character, motivation and overall mindset to keep you going. I wish I could afford a gym membership. That's my goal for the summer. Figure out how to squeeze enough blood out of the stone to get a gym membership. I don't really, really need it until I get to my bf% goal. It'd be NICE to have it before, but I'll manage.

Keep up the good work, man. I haven't been posting as much, but I'm checking the diaries regularly and yours is always inspirational. Two thumbs up!

Yes, definately PUSH yourself to do the "I don't want to be here" workouts!! They can really pick you up! :) :)

Well, I think that got the ball started rolling... BAD sleep when I couldn't breathe to well.... followed by late nights around the holidays... it all just got my sleep pattern off, ya know? Plus, I am HAMMERED at work, the daily grind of being superdad... I just need to get back into routine, somewhat early bed times.... lately, I say I'm exhausted, but then I feel wired??? WTF??? So, I'll chat with friends, or finish work, read, or play my guitar... next thing you know, it's 1230am!! I get up at 400 - 430 for workouts, so 4 hours a night sleep for a month has caught up to me!! It's a good thing I do my workouts in the morning, it's the only time I have the right energy for them!! I gotta fix this shit!!! :)

Tuesday

Well, got some decent sleep, so AM CARDIO.... great!!!
I jumproped for 49 minutes, and jumped 3,160!! DAMN happy with that!!
After JR, I hit the heavybag for 20 minutes!! Sweat Angel Central (to be simply SAC from now on :D )! KILLER!!

Eating - SUPERLATIVE!!! :D
