Hey, I was just thinking, THE game is in two weeks. Let the smack talk begin. hahahahaha Well, I'd be silly to talk any smack this season. :blush5:

Can a Buckeye and a Wolverine be friends?? :D

Friends... absolutely!!! Neighbors... No way!!! :D
Talk smack all you want... they both have had tragic seasons, and with Penn State choking too... Looks like us "Big 10" fans are S.O.L.!!

Being neighbors would be fun. We could pull all kinds of pranks on each other--like I could put a big Michigan flag in your front yard and teepee your house in maize and blue. :D

How conveinent!!! I would take all the maze and blue down... and use it as "teepee" !!! :D :D

I am an actually freak of "fandum" (made that up if you were wondering :D ), I like Ohio State, but if Michigan is playing anyone else, I root for them!! My Grandpa was a U of M grad, so growing up we went to alot of games!!

I'd use maize and blue crepe paper, so you might find that a bit abrasive on your tushy. :D

I have never heard of anyone liking Mich and Ohio St..lol. I guess that explains a lot. No wonder I can tolerate you.

I'm a FREAK!!! I guess you have to be taught to HATE! :D I was surrounded by family on both side of the "border" battle, and they never fought about it (STRANGE... I KNOW), so I guess I picked my favorite and chose the "other" team as one of the teams I root for!!!

I guess you are a freak..lol. Oh, and the color on the crepe paper might run, making your bottom maize and blue. Have fun explaining that one to Karl when he's flogging you.

Hey, JZ. Nice weekend. Not a bad trick to drink and still come out with a loss. Must be the Irish and German in me that looks at that list and thinks, "Uhm, where's mine?"

BB, I don't think a hard ass like JZ would even notice the crepe paper. :D

!q

Well, I drank like a MORON this Saturday night!!! WAY TOO MUCH!!! Had a good, no, GREAT time, but won't be doing that again for a LOOOONNNNGGG Time!!! I was feelin' horrible sunday morning, not due to the alcohol, but worry and remorse for all the calories consumed!!! I had (8) 16 oz Heinekin's, (2) jager bombs, (2) red pop drops, and (2) I don't remember an F'ing thing(s)!!! Way too much!!!

Good news, I got on the industrial scale at work today, and it says I am down 3 more pounds!!! Wow, am I happy, I thought I blew any results I was going to have with the drinking, but amazingly enough.. I didn't. Well, maybe I did, maybe I was on the way to a 5 pound week?!?!? Oh well, I'm content to live the LIFESTYLE!! It's not a race, unless i'm the tortise!!

Great to see it's not just me and Curvie that have the odd drinking nights ;)

Awesome news that you still made 3 lbs!!! I can only imagine what it would have been without the drinks!

I know your gonna make this a good week, as am I!
Everyone's gonna kick a goal!!

About once every 5 - 7 months Paul!! I let go and had a great time!!! I worked my ass off on sunday to make up for it!! I do think you are right about the "loss" being higher if I had passed on the drinks, but hey... It's life right??? :D :D

This week, I will have a great week!! Thanks!!

Monday

AM Upper body workout... NICE!! It felt good to move the "newly acheived" weights per movement!! I benched 250 x 2!! I'm going for my max on FRIDAY!!! Lets hit 260!!! If I have another three pound week, I'll be benching over my weight again and I will be psyched!!!

Breakfast - Smart Start, apple
snack 1 - R2DS w/whey!!!
lunch - two chicken breasts, mixed veggies
snack 2 - R2DS w/whey!!!
Dinner - grilled shrimp w/mixed grilled veggies (I love this meal!!!)
snack 2 - cliff bar

GOT MY PROTEIN IN!!! I am actually STUFFED!!! We'll see how I have to adjust my diet... I actually only increased my calories by 425! Not too bad, plus I'm crankin' out the workouts so.... we'll`have to see!!

Great start to this week!!!

I had one set of grandparents where my grand mother was born in Ireland and my Grandfather was born in Germany. The dynamics in that house was really something. My Grandfather was very stubborn, stern and serious and my Grandmother was, uhm, Irish. They were oozing with love for each other, too. It was such a positive influence for me. Even though my Grandfather died over 20 years ago, and my Grandmother 10 years ago they are often in my thoughts.

WOW Trops... flip that story around and you have my grandparents(moms side)!! My grandpa was from Ireland, my grandma from Germany!! They were as you said... quite dynamic!! She wanted a "challenge"... he wanted to loosen up a "tight wound spool"!! DYNAMIC indeed. She loved the mischeif he would get into, and always, when NO ONE was looking... got involved herself! My grandma died in 95, my Grandpa in 2006. I miss them and think about them quite often!! My gramps was the one who got me into playing guitar! He was amazing... like he had twenty fingers!! It's amazing how many lessons I learned from both of them! On a plus side, I get to pass on their wisdom to my own kids. :)

Awwwww--cute stories!

My Mexican grandma acts totally "white" because she was born in 1932 and pretty much had to be assimilated. She is your stereotypical sweet grannie, but she's an Aries with a Gemini moon, so when you least expect it, she'll fire out a smart ass comment that no one notices because you assume she's just sweet. It took me 22 years to figure out, "Wow, Gramgie is a SMARTASS!!" Gramps is an Aries, too, man oh man they always argued (healthily) at the dinner table. WOW. But they're almost 80 now, and they finally are more mellow. LOL!!!

I miss my paternal grandma  Oh well!

Another joiner to the Irish/German club..lol. My paternal gran is 100% German (tall and big-boned like me) and she married a little half Irish half Englishman. Yes, his grandfathers did not get along and nearly always got into arguements at family gatherings I've been told. And Grandpa could drink like an Irishman, too. He loved his beer and whiskey--unfortunately too much.

You benched 250?? Wow. You could bench press me easily then..lol. :biggrinjester:

One of my favorite stories is when they met they were both working at the NY Plaza hotel. My Grandmother expressed an interest in him, but my Grandfather said to her, "I do not associate with those whom I work." Yeah, he really talked like that. Her resposne was something like "We'll see about that." and we know who won that one. :biggrinjester: You don't win against a determined Irish woman.

I walked on the treadmill pretty consistantly for the two NFL games on FOX, while playing with my kids intermittantly(well, half of the time, but we where playing suction cup monster so I was chasing them around the house anyways), but felt I did a good job of working off my GLUTTONY!!!

Good news, I got on the industrial scale at work today, and it says I am down 3 more pounds!!! Feelin' Good about everything today!!
Saturday....drank like a MORON huh!?!?!.....geeeee MEEE TOO!!! LOL!!!! It's okay....we all deserve it baby!!! GOOD TIMES :D:!!!!!

Glad you had a great time though!!! WAAAAAAY TO GO on losing all them LBS!!! You are so inspiring and on a ROLLLLLLL!!!!! :jump: I love it!!!!

Mine met in NY also... pretty much right off the boat!! They lived there for about two years, then Gramps got a job workin' railroad(go figure!! That or some sort of building trade) around the Detroit area! They moved to Farmington Hills, Mich and stayed there the rest of their lives! I bet those times were great. I'm kind of a dork(love history), but I like that time period... so much going on all over the world! They were a "GREAT" generation!!
