Day 7

Breakfast - Smartstart in skim milk, 1/4 cup raisins, 1 whole wheat 100 cal english muffin
Snack 1 - slim jim (great idea Trops), apple
Lunch - grilled chicken salad, pear/apple, yogurt
Snack 2 - R2D
Dinner - grilled shrimp, corn on cob, mixed veggies

Excercise today... played kickball, baseball, soccer, football, ect.... with my kids today. No idea how many calories, my guess... LOTS, My ass is draggin'!!!
Early morning weigh in tomorrow, can't wait.
Lower body workout in am, feeling very optimistic!!

Over all, this week was very, very GOOD. On to day 8, week 2 of this new healthy lifestyle.
 
JZ, looks like you had a good week, top to bottom. Looking forward to seeing what Monday's weigh in will read. :hat:
 
Woo Hoo!

Weighed in this morning at 415am, pre-workout, and was at 274!!! That's 11 pounds in one week. Again, I know I won't get this every week, and it's probably all water weight... but pretty encouraging!

Post official Day 8 later.

JZ, you have an amazing determination to succeed and there is no doubt you will reach all your goals. Keep it up!!!

I'd double check the nutritional info on that. I'm not sure that I buy it completely. It wouldn't be the first time I got something wrong. :svengo:

wow, 11 lbs!! congrats! Looks like you're off to a fantastic start already! Good job busting your way through the first week, you've done amazing so far! keep up the great work JZ!! :D

Holy crap dude! 11 pounds is awesome! I'm sure SOME of it is water but definitely some fat loss too... Besides, who cares if it was all water, it obviously had to come off! If I could pee my last 14 pounds away,I would be happy! ;)

That's what we're here for! and you can use however many "/" words in a sentance as you want, I promise to resist the urge to act like your grade school english teacher. though I'm told I look kinda hot in glasses. :D

This part... OK. I hate getting up and doing it, but once i'm done... I feel great! Kinda like you with the weights, aye?? :D Thanks for resisting/foregoing your urge to correct/take exception to my over use of the "/".

:D I'll do my best to keep the corrections to myself. it'll be tough, but I'm strong enough to reign myself in occasionally. :D I still think you're silly for not enjoying your cardio. though it might just be what you're doing.....I sure wouldn't like doing cardio if all I was doing was running on a treadmil.
 
Day 8

Lower body workout in am. Tired from the "active" weekend, but still pressed through it. 7 on 1-10 scale :(

Breakfast - Smart start in skim milk, apple

Lunch - 2 turkey sandwiches on wheat 100 calorie english muffins, baby carrots
Snack 2 - R2DS
Dinner - Chicken breast and broccoli, small side salad with ranch in little cup to dip my fork in.

My oldest sons soccer practice was cancelled due to a big storm...kind of funny because the storm ended two hours before practice was scheduled. Used that "extra" time to play soccer with the kids for about 45 minutes. Pretty good workout, actually.

Day 8- Successful over all, need still go at it hard in the AM workouts even if tired. Still feel good about the day... and tomorrow is another day completely!
 
45 minutes of soccer is cardio, so bravo! looks like we're both doing those things we hate. ;) Oh, and random question, which smart start are you having? the healthy heart or antioxidants? it's an ongoing poll Matt and I have to see which is more popular, his favorite or mine.
