I think the idea to share a dessert is great! Plus omg carrot cake! It's REALLY hard for me to pass that up. We have once a month where they bring out all different kinds of cake for birthdays.. even though we don't have many people in the office lol but I would have the biggest slices of carrot cake mmm.

I hope the gym session went well! Hopefully you don't punish yourself too hard lol you still want to workout after today ;) Hoping you have a great scale day!!

OMG Cake day - remember it way too well - that really brought me down!!!
Also we always had somebody coming back for vacation (50 ppl in the office) and everyone used to bring some sweets from all over the world...i was snacking every day - all day...

Hey guys!!! I can happily report that i worked off the carrot cake - i burnt around 1000 kcal in the gym yesterday - i really got into it...hehe - i nearly stayed more LOL...
Anyways...i even had my dinner as normal. so i was good.

tomorrow is scale day - scale hasnt moved for days now...so not sure what to expect...

today - i finally went to the organic shop - needed to buy a few things. Crazy all Japanese things were sold out :(
I guess people wanna stock up - since this food is defo not conteminated. I too wanted to buy a few things - feeling terribly selfish now...
i also bought almond butter!!! excited to try it soon!!!

i m about to go out to swim - i m feeling slighly vulnerable -emotionaly again...need to destress a bit in the pool. funny i can hear #i m the one and only nobody i rather be" song playing on tv (in the background) - somehow it makes me feel instantly better about myself!!!

Now food:

Breakie: cereals banana almonds/nuts/raisins/ skinny latte
Snack: orange + small bounty style choco bar (half)
Lunch: red rice salad (with feta cheese, spinach, red onion, mustard seeds, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar)
Snack: grapefruit
Dinner: salad & fish

I have a recipe from my nutrionist for a healty carrot cake, haven't made it yet but they swear you don't even need frosting! There is a healty frosting recipe too.

I bought the Biggest Loser challenge for the wii yesterday. A lot of the moves I did today were similar to my cardio class, so maybe I can get a cpl in a week! Had me sweating. I have other dvd's too, should probably dig them out too.

Oh and your goal is so doable!

First of all THANK YOU ALL!! I appreciate your support so much!! You have no idea how much you help me!!!

Then today its SCALE DAY

i m down 2 lbs (0.9kg)

Now i m 203.7 lbs - i lost 30 lbs since the 3 January!!!

I m happy with the result!!!
I think once i reach 195 lbs - i ll go into maintainance for a few months...
I ll conentrate on toning up - giving my skin a break - and bulid some more muscles - while maintaining my weight.

I reached the border obesity/overweight :hurray: - some calcualtions says my BMI is just about under 30...some says it is 30...so hey...i m well pleased with this.
I think i have already built muscles...so my body fat is actually in the acceptable level..

Excercize:
Today i went to the gym in the morning:
60 min cross country trainer
5 min stepper
Machines (leg extension/leg curls & another thigh one) - all for the inner thighs
30 min bike
I m also planning to go for a walk in the marina in the afternoon - the weather is gorgerous!!!! - estimated: 60 mins

Food:
Breakie: cereals + banana +almonds
Snack: banana + brazil nuts/walnuts/raisins
Lunch: chickpeas + grilled egg plant + parsley & red onion with morrocon dressing (olive oil, cumin, paprika, honey,lemon juice) YUM!
Snack: grapefruit
Dinner: Salad with salmon

One week until i go home to my parents - this week i wanna do well!!

Congrats on the loss!

Carrot Cake
3/4C pure maple syrup
1/2C EVOO
1/2C apple sauce ~ unsweetened
1/2tsp sea salt
1 1/3C WW flour
1 1/2tsp baking soda
1 1/2tsp baking powder
1 1/2tsp cinnamon
1/4tsp nutmeg
1/2C walnuts (ground)
2C grated carrots

Mix all ingredients together adding carrots last. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 min.

Topping
For a lighter less calorie topping mix together 1/2 envelope of fat free vanilla pudding mix, with 1/2C of ultra low fat cool whip and 2 tbsp of low fat cream cheese. Use a little skim milk at a time to create a thick mixture. Keep refrigerated. Put on top of cake when ready to serve.

Justina - a big woohoo to you. you are sooooo close to being in the 1's. Very exciting. Keep up the great work. I think maintenance is a great idea - it will give your body a chance to adjust - who knows - the change may even have you drop a few more lbs.....all about shocking the bod - right?

Plus that leaves summer nice and relaxed since people seem to get out and do more. I know I plan on hiking and doing a lot of other stuff so my p90x routine will probably get messed up.

I agree with having a maintenance break to let your body readjust, I'd have though you should do it when you get to a point where your struggling to lose etc.

Hey TikTak - ohh you are soo sweet. Well if in 3 months i lost 30 lbs i could get to my goal by July. But i m scared for my skin...as my total weight loss will be around 100 lbs...and i dont wanna overdo it - hence i m going into maintaining for a bit. Trust me i d love to be at my target weight tomorrow if only it was possible!

tHANKS Tally!!well 195 is not my goal weight..so i ll just put myself to the test - i think i can handle it - i havent worked out yet - how i m gonna do it...probably more food and same amount of excercize - as i looove excercize now..and i d miss it - and i also love good food...see how it works out..
i know 30 lbs..a lot - i think i exceeded my expectations.

Hellloo helllooo helllo hello...

Monday - had a quick look of the scale today - and i m up 1 lb - clueless as per why....yesterday i had 3 hours of excercize and small salad for dinner...
so i guess...ToM is moving in sooon - boooo!! & also i had loads of water too.
I dont let it bring me down - i just gonna have to work harder (i dont know how it is possible but ths week is super important for me)


Today foodwise..i did something different..
I had a super early lunch 11 45 am!!! its because i have a class at 2 30 pm - and i dont wanna struggle with a full stomach.
I also decided that this week i ll go to as many classes as possible. i m aiming to go to 3-4 body sculpting classes and a 1-2 fitness ball classes...
i trully hope i can do it - i gona be super busy with preparation for my vacation, work and just everything else...i ll need to organize it big time...

Ok so here i come wth the planned excercize for today:
60 min body sculpting class
40 min cardio
60 min light walking ( something i cant avoid - as it s hard to find free parking for the car)

Food:
Breakie: cereals + banana + almonds + 2 skinny latte
Lunch: A huge (i think a foot) baguette with loads of cereals with tomato/olive oil as spread and lean turkey and a boiled egg
Snack: grapefruit + strawberries
Dinner: Salad with tuna or salmon

WATER & WATER :D

All I can think about is losing..I'd have no idea how to maintain to "save" my skin from going wonky.
 
I would ignore the scale too especially if it's near that time. You have been doing amazing lately so there isn't a reason for it to be weight gain.

I would have no idea how to maintain a certain weight either! You don't want to stop exercising so I would suggest just eat healthy things that are nutritious but may be higher in calorie like avacado's, full fat greek yogurt, maybe even enjoying my favorite almond butter/jelly sandwiches. Maybe having some dark chocolate occasionally. I think mainly just trying to eat well to maintain. I would hate to have you just start eating worse! I will definitely be learning from you though!

I'm just gonna up my carbs to 150 when I feel like I look good but that is with the intention that I might still lose some weight over time just a lot slower.

well when someone is single - aesthetics cd be an important thing when it comes to self confidence - thats why i m obsessed/scared about skin. So i did an awful lot of research to keep it elastic/firm etc

thts exactly what i m doing - ignoring the flipping scale - we arent best friends this week! lol.
Good idea to up the calories for maintaining weight.. i dont count calories though...ithink i WILL reintroduce bread for breakie...instead of cereals - very good idea with all the peanut butter/almond jelly toast...!! YuM!
Unfortunatelly i m allergic to avocado - which sux bc i looooved it (before i became allergic to it a year ago)

I M IN PAIN people!!!!!!!!!! over 3 hours in the gym!!!
First the body sculpting class - which was just fab - then an hour of cardio:
35 mins on cross country
30 mins on bike - taking it easy
An hour belly dance class - this is really really hard... but i can see how it could be fun once i m slimmer more tonned & dont move like a robot hehehe!

Yesterday i also did body sculpting - it was my first Monday class - so new trainer - i think it was the easiest out of all the BS classes i tried.
Tuesday one is the fun purgatory and Thursday one is more like hell hahahahaha! I just love them!!!

I think tomorrow no class - just cardio - i need a rest day for my muscles - but then again i see how i feel - cos i m really up for excercize now....i m becoming a sport-oholic hahahahhah - who would have thought?

Yesterday i also had a little trip to the workshop - i dont know how you guys call it. I went back to my car - and i never NEVER check the tyres...but a little voice in my head was saying :Angel_anim: - check your tyres...well i checked one. & i saw a little needle thing sticking out...GREAT I thought...once i pulled it out and i could hear the air escaping....i aint gonna change a tyre (bc i cant - i m such a girl like that) A guy stopped and asked what the prob was - then he just drove off after saying: awww whata shame! damn!( i should have had my makeup on lol!) anyway i got to the workshop - and the mechanic guy was so nice - he changed it on the spot for me - not charging anything - bless him!

So car- adventure aside - i m having a great week

Foodwise:

Breakie: cereals + banana + almonds & skinny latte
Lunch: BIG bowl of tuna/tomato pesto pasta Mmmmmm.....
Snack: grapefruit
Dinner: Miso soup with seaweed
Snack: strawberries


Ok - now I have to catch up with my work for the rest of the day!

WOW! That's a LOT of time at the gym! You are just a machine! I agree that you need a rest day - don't want to injure yourself right before the big trip!

That sucks about the flat tire. I've changed a LOT of flat tires in my day (yes I know how!). A couple years ago I had a flat every week for 9 weeks in a row (my personal record) because some people were tearing down a building and hauling the mess out to the city dump and I have to drive into town on the road that leads to the city dump grounds. They dropped LOTS of nails driving back and forth, and I think my tires found every single one of them!

Hope the rest of your week continues to be great and that the soreness goes away quickly!
