JUICING DAY 5 (FINAL DAY)

I MADE IT!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!! OK, I still have to get through today - but I am all set. I have the juices chilling in the fridge.

Yesterday I went to the gym and did an hour cycling (stationary bike) - I am very proud of me.

I must say the grocery shopping yesterday was a bit of a torture..My husband had a cinnamon roll - and it smelt mighty fine!!

& there were samples out - and just wanted to try them sooo bad! Anyway I got through yesterday.

Something non diet related - I did something really stupid the other day!! I was booking my tickets from the UK to Spain for this summer & I accidentally put April instead of July!! I only noticed it once the confirmation number was on the screen!! What an idiot!! I was kicking myself. Thankfully I used BA instead of one of cheap airlines - so once we called them they changed the date free of charge. Phew!!!! What a relief.

Today's menu:
Pre-breakfast: Lemon water
Breakfast: Red grapes juice
Lunch: ABC with lime (apple, beetroot, carrot) juice
Snack: apple, cucumber, celery, parsley, lemon - juice
Dinner: apple, cucumber, celery, ginger, lemon, carrot - juice
After-dinner: herbal tea

Exercize - Reboot movement workout + walking

I am down to 249.5!!! That is 8.5lbs loss since Saturday. (About 7lbs from juicing, the rest was water retention)

You have done SO well!!! 8.5 lbs is incredible. And such willpower you showed whilst grocery shopping. I can imagine that was difficult. You are so close to being done! You are amazing!

Traveling can be so stressful so I'm glad to hear your flight worked out after all!

Have a great day 5!!!

Good job Justina.....so you did this and you didn't get hungry or tired in the least?? I am interested in following this but wonder if I would have the energy and patience to be with my kids and husband if I did!

Camila, Mystic & Cory - thanks guys for your support!!!

Verobc - I did not get hungry but i did have cravings, especially the first day. Tired? Yes i felt a little bit tired the first day & sometimes during the whole juicing experience - but not too bad, I did have patience with my husband lol! :) Actually he was very supportive -since he wanted me to do this in the first place - ever since we watched the movie.. I was fine making him pizza, pasta, salads etc. I don't work though - maybe check Camila's diary - she is doing the juice fast while at work! :)

JUCING - THE END

DONE!!! WOOOHoooo! So happy! I did 5 days of juicing! I am still in the juicing mindset. I have my breakfast sitting on the counter: a bowl of fresh berries: strawberries, raspberries & blueberries. I haven't touched them yet. I had my lemon water as usual & now I am just thinking: can i really eat? where is my juice? Lol. I think I could go on with the juice diet. THIS IS CRAZY!!!

On the other hand I went to bed early yesterday hoping to get up early so I could finally eat! Then I had these dreams about going out to restaurants the whole night. I was in a pizzeria, then in a breakfast place, etc....hmmmm...I was "eating out" all night - maybe that's why I am not hungry! :D

Anyway..I am down to 248.2 lbs!!!! That is, my dear forum friends, almost 10 lbs lighter than I was less than a week ago! :hurray:
I must add that 8lbs is from juicing, the other 2 is from water retention.
I kind of wish it was weigh in day today!!!

OK, so What did I learn? Eating is a mind game! I can honestly say that I was not hungry during the time of the juicing. I did have baaad cravings in the beginning & yesterday as I knew that I was on the final day. So that's one of my big discoveries: there is a massive difference between hunger & cravings.

What now? I am worried about the next days a bit. Breaking the juice fast without putting any of the weight on (or trying to minimize putting any of the weight back on) is challenging. Here is my tentative plan:

DAY 1 (AFTER JUICING): Eat only fruit & vegetables - nothing else - + cardio exercise
DAY 2: Eat fruit & vegetables & quinoa + higher intensity cardio exercise
DAY 3: Eat fruit & vegetables & couscous & legumes - cardio exercise + weight training/toning
DAY 4: Eat fruit & vegetables & all the above + dairy (like feta cheese) - cardio exercise + weight training/toning
DAY 5: Eat all the above, introduce fish - cardio exercise + weight training/toning
DAY 6: Eat all the above, introduce pasta - cardio exercise + weight training/toning
Day 7: Eat anything on my healthy diet plan - cardio exercise + weight training/toning

As I said, this is tentative, I will adjust if I have to.

All righty, off I go to eat my berries :leaving: Have a good day everyone!

Congrats on the very big lost!!! I am also not working outside the home but I do have a full plate with the kids husband and house reseaching this!!! Your plan looks solid!!!

Thanks guys! :)

Second update today.
I eventually ate the berries - they were so good! They had never tasted this good before!!
For lunch I made vegetable soupView attachment 20587 & oven roasted veggies with arugula View attachment 20588 Small portions. They were divine.

I did an hour elliptical in the gym. :hurray:

I am thinking - nice salad for dinner.

Those look so delicious, Justina! Seriously inspired by your will and determination. I can only hope to get there some day (you will see in my diary, I only made it to the end of day 3). Food does seem to have more impact after abstaining for a few days, huh?

And great job on the exercise!

Camila -They were yum! :)
You did great! You shouldn't worry about it that you didn't make it to day 5. Many people only do 3 days. I am thinking to do the same from now on...see how the scale goes.

Justina - I have doubts that my weight loss will stick. It wasn't very much in the first place...about 3-4 lbs. I feel most of it was water weight anyways. Anyways, looking forward to hear your experiences of coming off the fast. Best of luck to you! I find that now that I have eaten something, I have no more cravings...haha. So that's great! Please keep us up to date!

Yay for making it through your juicing. It'll be very interesting to see what your weight does as you move towards a more "normal" diet. Hope you can hold this loss!

Camila - the weight loss can stay!! :D i will post here often - so you can see how it goes for me.This was the first time I did a 5 day juice fast too.

Mystic - thanks! stay tuned - I ll update every day :)

Weigh in day. I am thrilled - I did not put on any weight since yesterday. I was sooo worried about breaking the juice break - but so far it's been working.
This morning I weighed myself 6 times, the scale couldn't make up "her" mind :) So it was flickering between 247.6 - 248.4 lbs..
Which is definitely not a gain. I will go with the higher one this time, as it was the last one I saw. Still brilliant loss - second best ever for me (2011 Jan I lost over 10lbs in a week even w/o juicing)

So I lost 9.6lbs!!!!

I will update later with my food choices today/catch up on diaries.

Happy weekend everyone!

congrats on lost wow!!!! you are doing so great very inspiring!!!!! Keep up the great food and workouts wow you are on fire!

Congrats on the loss! I've been pretty absent this week, so it was nice to come back and see how much progress you've made with the juicing.

:party::party::party:
