I may be old but loved the gift idea too...

On 26th April it will be 29 years since Rod and I went on our first date (the day we met)... On Saturday he bought theatre tickets for 26th April... Some things are always well worth celebrating.

Don't let Don kid you. You can always stay as "together" as you are now... It doesn't have to end...

Cory - Long live muscle pain!!! :D :smash: We are doing great!

MrVee - thanks!! :) We defo celebrated in style!

Don - thanks! I really hope we can stay as romantic as we are now - because I am loving it!! I am happy to learn tricks from people who have been married/together (happily) for a long time.

Mands - thanks! We certainly enjoyed the meal!

Omega - thanks!!! Good to hear romantic stories like yours!! :beating:

jen_renee - thanks!! I am glad you liked the gift idea!

Mystic - thanks!! Yes it was a lot of exercise

Today I am still in pain! Sore all over!! So I guess I have side muscles? & muscles all over my tummy!!! And my legs & my chest!! I haven't felt them for 2 years! So i gave core-training a rest today. I still did the sit ups for the challenge & and 3mile walk on the outside track.
I made the most of the good weather - apparently we are getting tornadoes tomorrow night..yay. not. I don't think I could ever get used to this.

Food:
B: Banana - tea - organic oreos
S: -
L: Garlic-olive oil dressing with pasta tuna & black olives
S: 2 slices of ezekiel bread with (still!) leftover ham & home made mayo
S: Lemon water
D: Champagne (it's the actual day of the anniversary) - no points for non alcoholic drinks today

I am so scared of tornadoes! I really hope you do not get any. I have lived through several hurricanes but not one tornado and I hope I never have to. Good work with the training Justina! You are doing so well!

Glad you had a fab anniversary!

I can't imagine having tornadoes - that must be soooo scary. Hope it's a small mild one.

Happy belated anniversary!! I am such a sucker for romance :)

Yikes about the weather! Hope you are holding up okay! We've gotten a torrential downpour all day! It is wild. Definitely seemed to come out of nowhere, that is for sure. I hope you are having a great week so far!

Eek, I hate tornado warnings. I am not in a tornado area but there have been some tornadoes around where I live and we sometimes get tornado warnings! Hope you don't get any!

Good job on the training...lived in the mid west and south eastern U for much of my life...tornados suck! Hope you are OK.
Keep going girl..you're doing great!
Sarah

Hey Justina! I'm exploring new threads on here and got a chance to read a little of yours. I have to echo everyone else and say that your anniversary weekend sounds so perfect! It reminds me of how my boyfriend and I get a cheap pizza and cheap wine for Valentine's Day each year because that's sort of how our first one together went (it was sweeter than it sounds, I promise!) Good luck with the tornados! I grew up in the Midwest so I'm all too familiar with tornado warnings. I'm off to go catch up on some more of your diary now :)

Xenon- thanks! I have never experienced a tornado - this area where we are staying right now is right next to tornado alley - so we get a lot of alerts. & we have no basement.

Mands, Camila, Cory, Mystic Sarah - thanks for the support guys.

Laura - thanks for stopping by :) Cheap pizza & wine is the way to go for Valentine's Day :D - I don't like to buy into the whole commercial hype thing!

Thanks for the support guys - you rock! :smash:

We are on tornado watch until 9pm tonight - it does not look too bad right now - fingers crossed it comes to nothing.

I did my daily exercise today - 1hr elliptical. I still have to do my situps.

Yesterday I made a new dish: Cauliflower & chickpea pilaf - it came out pretty well. It was tasty - my husband said: "I don't mind you doing this again"

Today I wanted something fresh - so I opted for a salad based lunch.

Food today:
B: Tea & organic cookies
S: -
L: Greek pasta salad
S: Tea & banana & nuts
D: Fresh vegetable juice

E: 1 hr elliptical + sit ups

That looks yummy! I wouldn't mind the recipe if it's not too much trouble. I really like dishes that can be stand alones or side dishes. It's a great way to work through leftovers without monotony.

It's pretty stormy here too.

Thanks Quercus, here is the recipe:
I made my own curry paste from ginger, garlic & garam masala :)

Stay safe!

Justina...that looks sooo good! I might have to try it. Sorry to hear you're having such crazy weather by you too. We are on flood watch here until tomorrow night. Hope it doesn't turn out too bad. You are doing fantastic. And have inspired me to make a cup of tea. ;)

The cauliflower and chick pea pilaf looks delish! If your husband gets lucky and you make it again, could I get an invite for dinner lol.

It was pouring rain this morning. At the gym we were all getting our warm up making the mad dash from the parking lot to the building to avoid getting completely soaked hehe. But now it cleared up and now its a beautiful sunny afternoon with clear blue skies :D

Hope the weather is ok where you are. I'm terrified of tornados. I live in the mountains so we never get them.

Thanks guys for your concern & support - I appreciate it!

There was a tornado about 70 miles from us. We got lucky - we just had loads of rain, thunder & lightning.

I made a decision about my diet... I am doing a reboot (fat, sick & nearly dead movie) ...for a few days..

My body is retaining water AGAIN...It seems like that out of a calender month I retain water for 2 weeks. Way too long.
I am kind of upset with the lack of loss. Okay, I did lose nearly 20 lbs since January - but as I said 80-90% of that weight was lost in a month...since February it's been a struggle.

I did step up the exercise this week - but I don't really see the positive changes I am after...and ToM is upon me again...and I am just REALLY frustrated with my progress.

So I am doing a short reboot (juice diet) for 4 days - starting on Saturday evening until Tuesday/Wednesday and I'll see how it goes.
I will continue to do some light exercise (walking, yoga etc) during this period.

Then I am planning to go back to my normal good food diet - with HIIT.

That's the plan for now.

Good luck with the reboot! I suppose I need to watch that movie.

We had mostly wind and rain with some storming. Nothing too bad.

Thanks for the recipe link also. I have a couple kinds of curry powders so I suppose I will experiment.
