Juliette cross-training for Romèo

thankyou :) these times do work for me as i reckon they are just long enough to not be overindulging but short enough to fend off any hunger.
i have done well on the water side of things today
hope youve had a good day

Happy Valentine's!

Hi, everybody!
Been really busy and away from home so have missed my Monday morning appointments with my scales. But here are the measurements for this morning, so Wednesday this time:

Weight 68.5 kg
Body fat 28.5%
Muscle mass 33.6%
Body water 52.1%

It was my birthday in the weekend so I've happily eaten cake and everything I've wanted, but managed to stick to a reasonable amount of whatever I've put in my mouth, so I'm happy with myself.
The skirt that I planned to wear on my birthday actually fits perfectly right now. I didn't wear it though, because the thermometer dropped under -20 C.. But I'm saving it for the warmer weather.
My goal of reaching BMI of 25 is 0.5 kgs away and I'm really hoping to go below 68 kgs in about a week. I'm going to continue until about 67 kgs and then think again about what I want to do next.
Happy Valentine's to all of you!!! :)
Juliette

hi juliete! congrats on the weight loss and fitting into that skirt - you can save it for another special occasion .. you never know..it may be too big then!!
and well done for your portion control at the weekend - i hope you had a lovely birthday.
nice to see you back around here -i was wondering where you had got to! x

Hi Juliette!
Happy belated birthday! I really admire you: I wouldn't have been able to control myself in front of my birthday cake!

Congrats on your skirt fitting perfectly! I'm sure you look gorgeous in it!

Ah it's so good to see somebody else's ticker with kgs instead of lbs...I just can't relate to lbs! I never understand how much weight people have lost or have to lose!

Yes, me neither.. Did myself a spreadsheet chart for conversion. Whatever amount I need to convert I just enter in my table..
1 pound=0,454 kgs, so:
to convert from pounds: pounds*0,454=kgs
to convert from kgs: kgs/0,454=pounds

And then there are the British with their stones, which I've never quite figured out..
More information on that at Conversion of units - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Monday again:

Weight 68.0 kg
Body fat 28.5%
Muscle mass 33.6%
Body water 52.1%

Good things about those figures: This makes me officially "normal" according to BMI (24,97). In pounds I'm 149.8 which is also a nice new number.. And bad: The other figures, however, aren't quite what I'd want so I need to think can I do something about them... Not right now, though, because
A nasty flu hit me yesterday.
Fever currently up to 38,7 C.
Good things about that: can't go to work.
Bad things about that: feeling really rotten.
Hoping this will go away soon, and
Wishing all of you a good week!
Juliette

Look on the bright side of things: when you have the flu you can watch as much tv as you want and nobody blames you :p
I hope you'll get better soon!

Thanks for the warm thoughts, girls!
They seem to have a cooling effect on my fever. ->
And yes, it's definitely tv day here. :p

Exercise Ball

Hi & Thanks for the websites on the exercise ball.
I'm going to look them up and give it a try. I have a hard time getting around to exercise, and my back tells me to get it in!!
Have a successful day! Remember to drink extra while you have a fever!

:)
Cheryl

Thanks Cheryl! I've been knocking back litres of water today. Fortunately I've been actually feeling thirsty most of the time.
I love my gym ball, it's a fun thing to play with and get some exercise suitable for anyone. You can do light things with it at first and make them harder as you get stronger. And since you can have it in the living room corner and use it while watching tv there's never an excuse not to use it.
If some those excercises feel difficult at first just give them a few goes and you'll find the ones you like. And for your back, I'd recommend also walking from own experience. After really difficult times with back problems I've had a complete recovery with sensible weight and ball training and lots and lots of walking.

My fever continues, fortunately little more moderate than yesterday. It's a dazzlingly beautiful winter day outside and I can barely make it from my bed to my computer. :(
So, still no going to work, which is good: I needed the holiday..
But I have to say, the quality of tv has seriously deteriorated since I last tried the "tv 12 hours a day" -diet and flu treatment program.
So just send some decent tv programs, and I'm good to go for one more day. And hopefully this will be gone by tomorrow and I can go back to my normal life.

go to youtube and type in skins e4
it is my favourite programme :D but i think it is only available in england
there are 4 episodes to get your teeth into...

Have to say, this influenza (I guess I can call it by its first name by now, so familiar it has gotten the past few days) is getting worse, not better. So I'm off even the tv right now, too much effort involved in that, just got up from my bed to scribble down these lines. There's one good side to this: I don't feel like eating at all. I need to really lure myself to eat to get something inside. Interesting experience. :(
Juliette (and influenza says hi!)

hehe mal you always make me laugh :)

juliette i hope this influenza thing will leave you as soon as possible...get better soon :) Lena

This certainly gets worse before it gets better.. I'd be happy to send a piece of this bug to all of you tar/feather - remove-all-body-hair-by-tweezing considering individuals. I mean, you know your subject will run out of body hair eventually. But there seems to be absolutely no way of knowing how long this torture by influenza will go on. (And Mal, I read your greetings to it in several languages, but it doesn't seem to understand. Is this one from China or Philippines maybe? Mandarin for "Virus, go away!", anyone?)
Yesterday I was able to be up about 20 minutes, then had to sleep for 3 hours to compensate for that. Fever 39ish Celsius (normally I would find a Fahrenheit converter somewhere, but I'm ill, so just go find it yourselves. ) Talked to myself alone here when awake. Had WEIRD dreams when asleep. So not a good day, yesterday.
This morning seems to be a bit better. I feel almost like a human being right now, let's see for how long. I'm supposed to be building up an appetite for something containing calories and nutrients, because, I'm told, if I don't start eating better pretty quickly, I'll never get better. So, I'm trying to think of something. Maybe the strawberries in the freezer could be a good start..
:( <- Juliette

Wishing you a very happy almost Friday... Hope it's a great day today.

it's also be Humble day -- which personally i find silly - take a moment tobrag on your accomplishments... :)
