Journey, Not A Destination

Maybe there could be a middle man? Possibly the books would be sent to you and you would redirect them to where they need to be?

Possibly. But that's inefficient in terms of postage. I'll have to think about it. I could see it being more of a headache than it's worth. Maybe it would be something available only to a select group.

Haha - Here is a quote a fellow squatter might like.

"Down this road, in a gym far away,
a young man was heard to say,
"no matter what i do, my legs won't grow"
he tried leg extensions, leg curls, and leg presses , too
trying to cheat, these sissy workouts he'd do.

from the corner of the gym where the big men train,
through a cloud of chalk and the midst of pain
where the noise is made with big forty fives,
a deep voice bellowed as he wrapped his knees.
a very big man with legs like trees.

laughing as he snatched another plate from the stack
chalking his hands and monstrous back,
said, "boy, stop lying and don't say you've forgotten,
the trouble with you is you ain't been SQUATTIN'.

Haha, that's good. I haven't seen that. It's so damn true though. Except for in the gym I train at now. There are a lot of big guys who the closest they get to using free weights is cables... and I never see them do legs.

They put my to shame in terms of muscle.

Makes ya wonder what they're 'eating.'

Media mail... least last time I checked (it's what Amazon suggests for people reselling books) is fairly inexpensive.. it takes a lot longer than regular mail but if you're not in a hurry it's cheap...

Post office also has the flat rate priority mail boxes - anything you can fit into a specific size box - for one rate and it gets there in a couple of days.

It still adds up over time though...

I'll have to research all this after the rest of the site is up and operational. This is one of those 'features' that might be added down the road.

So my training partner hurt himself in the gym yesterday. Seemed pretty bad. He 'tweaked' his shoulder two days ago golfing and didn't tell me. Then yesterday we start with some heavy ass barbell rowing. Sure enough something pops in his scapula and he was in some serious pain. Couldn't let his arm rest to his side.

I yelled at him for a good 10 minutes about what I told him would happen if he didn't keep up with his flexibilty and mobility work at home, which I knew he was lax with.

And then I continued on with my workout while he sat there pissed, lol.

Sounds mean I suppose, but I know Peter pretty well. I started hanging out with him when I was in diapers.

Thankfully Krista had some pain killers left over from her hernia surgery and he popped a couple of those and felt much better within the hour. I'm anxious to see how he feels today... to me it seemed more serious than your typical tweak. That or he has a piss poor tolerance for pain, which isn't the case from what I know of him.

If it still hurts today, I'll be sending him to my chiro.

On the truch front, I'm really falling in love with the driving experience that the Ram provides. It's a big truck. It's got power. I love the way it looks. I love the four doors and the practicality. Going to the gym and throwing everything in the back is just nice. I'm used to struggling to find a place for my cell phone and water bottle. It's a nice change.
