Have a great trip! Are you backpacking? I have not read back far enough in your journal yet to figure out what this trip is all about
I like your wife..Her response is always, "Well, it's never a dull moment. He's on from the moment he wakes up till the moment he shuts his eyes."
See-that's why she sticks around.. it's all about the flexing...At the snap of a finger.![]()

he large area of low pressure that has been with us the past few days will continue to exit east today. The back side of the low will continue to generate upslope showers mixed with convective cells. Some of the convective cells may build enough for a rumble of thunder this afternoon if allowed enough heating. Showers will also be mostly snow mixed with snow grains, small hail, and possible freezing rain or rain as temperatures rise. The freezing line will continue to be above 4000 feet. Overnight, upsloping will continue to bring fog with a chance of snow showers with the best shot at precipitation early in the night. Tomorrow, the building high will allow for drier air to finally wedge in allowing for a clearing trend to start on and above the summits. Wind chills today will start 0-10 above rising to 10-20 above before falling back to 0-10 above overnight and rising again to 10-20 above tomorrow. Reminder: If traveling above tree line today, be prepared for variable weather. It may feel like spring in the valley but it is like winter on the summits. Cotton and tennis shoes are not advisable. Lastly, if you hike up be prepared to hike down.
