Journey, Not A Destination

Here are some shots of the room that saved our lives initially. It doesn't look as bad here simply b/c it's nice and sunny out. I took these the day after. But this is where we found refuge until we met up with the other guys and got the lock off the door. You can see how small and dark it is even on a bright day. Plus I got level with the floor so you could see how thick the ice was in that one shot. And how about those bunks. Real comfy, huh?

I've had some buddies stay in those huts.. and they don't get any better when there are people in them when it's more in season... just more smelly :)

Loved the pics--especially the one of you and Gord, and the last one of all of you. Which guy is the marine? I've gotta say, if you were all cleaned up and not smelly, that would be some hot stuff there..lol. ;)

The mountains look beautiful, but after reading your story, it looks rather menacing to me. :)

Steve, I bow down to your awesome-ness and am very relieved you survived! :D

Thanks Mal.

Gee, post a few pictures and scare everyone off, lol. Funny.

Thanks for keeping this journal above water, Mal. :)

I was just browsing through the pics of your latest adventure and wanted to stop and say hi.

So hi.

My mission is complete. :D

Have a great day!

oh yeah and i forgot to ask..

Did you shave yet? or are you keeping the cute little scruffy whiskers? :D

(I know, Krista's opinion is the one that matters. but Auntie Mal thinks you look pretty cute with them :D and thinks they should stay - for a while anyhow..

I shaved them. But I think I'll start letting them grow more often now... like I won't shave as often. That's the plan anyhow. Krista actually likes them. My face was itchy though and I wanted to feel clean after that trip.

totally don't want to objectify someone who has been helpful but nice shots and congrats for making it both up and down :cheers2:

Feel free to objectify me all day long. :p

On a serious note, thanks very much. It's good to be 'on solid ground' again. Though, I am looking forward to the next adventure.

Only 2 of those guys are single. Two married, one might as well be, and the other in and out.

Thanks for dropping in.

pssst - send the single one's my way.. :)

RAWR!!!

I wanna be a cougar :D

Oh wait i'm not rich enough for that..

I'm just a dirty old lady :) lady part questionable :D

Meh, the one single guy was sort of strange. But he's rich, lol. And seemed real nice. But definitely strange.
