Journey, Not A Destination

It's something I've always wanted to do. Gordy did an excellent job at mine... he had everyone in tears.

And they weren't sad tears.

Shit yea... I've never done it before. I've never given a speech for that matter. At least not to a group larger than a high school class.

I was a "best man" once - and gave a fanstastic speech :)

speak from the heart .. and be yourself... :)

(though doing 50 pullups with a 100lb dumbbell might not be totally appropriate -though tuxedo'ed up -it'd be pretty hot :)
 
I have a reputation for being very funny with this side of the fam as well as being obnoxious.

So the speech has a lot of expectations to live up to.... but I think I'll be good. I just don't want to procrastinate as it should be something fun. Not something to stress about.

I find being obnoxious is often the case in shy people who are trying really hard to not come off shy, but I'm not sure I see you being a very shy guy anyways.
 
I wouldn't characterize myself as being shy. You really can't be in both of my lines of work, lol. So though that may be accurate in some cases, I don't think it applies here.

From what I know, obnoxious can be a standalone characteristic. :p

That's very true as well. But if it works for you, ( I don't know you enough to say whether you are or not) then there's nothing wrong with it.
 
LOL, I don't want to give the wrong impression. I'm not a jerk. I'm a good sort of obnoxious.... at least I like to think so. And I'm not one of those guys who can never be serious either.... I'm a very serious person. I just like to have fun too.

Haha, that's it exactly. It's the same way with my family.... I like to lighten the mood with a bit of humor, which at times, can come by way of a bit of obnoxiousness.

Seriousness is good.

But so is laughter. :)

What's the fun in clearing up that confusion? I love the ambiguity. S/he is like an enigma wrapped up in a puzzle stuck in a Sudoku that likes playing Kakuros... or something.

This question comes up on every single forum that I've ever been on... I quote Winston Churchill often, I am a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. I am a puzzle that is difficult to solve :D

For a former math geek though - I hate Suduko - I much prefer the new york times crossword puzzle...

I am however, very wordy which pretty much means -I'm me... :D
