Aren't you just helpful as all hell!?

Thanks Mal... did you get the email I sent you yesterday?

*****************

I hit a new low today at 187. I'm definitely looking leaner. It will be interesting to see what happens during this refeed. It's a metric ton of food!

Today I'm leaving the office early... I haven't decided what time yet. Somewhere around mid-day most likely to give me time to workout, eat, and head out to the Flyers game. Traffic is going to be a ridiculous mess; playoff hockey and a baseball game... rush hour traffic to boot.

Fun, fun.

have fun at the hockey game - will there be beer and hotdogs involved? :D hockey without beer just seems - wrong... :( (I'm secretly hoping to have you gain 2lbs so i can say I weight les than you do.. .:D ( and I do know the differencebetween fat loss and weight loss - I'm being competitive abouot the scale :D

yes, I got the email - but haven't had a chance to do anything with it - been whiny, self pitying and buried...

the smuttynose brewery is pretty cool - it's not where you're going to be - it's in portsmouthwhich is on the coast - but NH isn't that big -it's about 2 hour drive - closer to boston and worth the trip...

There will be beer. And on the food side of things, I'm thinking about soft pretzels. Lots of them. This refeed couldn't have come at a better time!

I'm pretty set on my ways... I don't think the weight loss will stop. That is, unless there's some crazy things happening on the muscle front, which is a possibility given the diet I'm on. Funny things can happen during the refeed period which is just as long as the dieting period each week.

Yesterday is when I found out I was committed to getting lean. For starters, my cravings for sweets are kicking in. However, I had to go shopping for my refeed foods... let me tell you, I bought some goodies. Well, you know how they say don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry. What about when you're really starving and haven't had any significant carbs beyond a pb&j sandwich, lol? I thought for sure I'd come home and not be able to resist the temptation... but I did.

Dill pickles have been my savior. They seem to solve my cravings acutely.

On top of that... I was so sore from the ridiculous workouts on Monday and Tuesday, yet, as soon as I got back from the grocery store I went for a 30 minute run on a trail near my house.

yes, I got the email

Just wanted to make sure...

We'll have to see what the agenda is. It's the first trip, I think ever, where I'm not the planner. And I'm loving it. I don't want any responsibilities. I just want to show up, get my ass kicked by the mountain, have fun with buddies, and then drink some beers. Wherever that happens is fine by me. I know Gordy was talking about possibly heading into Boston. But there's a chance we'll hang round the mountain too.

Time shall tell.

running for 30 minutes impresses me... show off :)

Dill pickles... pretty yummy - I'm more of a kosher garlic fill pickle fan...:) heavenly stuff with just enough crunch and ayear's worth of sodium

Oh I was dogging it, believe me. I haven't run in a long while. It didn't help that my legs felt like lead from the very start. I need to be consistent with it though for the upcoming trip. Plus, it allows me to eat a little more and still realize a fat loss.

largest lake in NH(and Squam Lake (the lake where the old movie On Golden Pond was shot) are about an hour from Mt Washington and if you've never been to that area - are absolutely worth going to... the scenery is beautiful - and Weirs (weird) beach is fun people watching... (there are also a few lesser mountains - hills by Mt Washington standards0 that are nice for day and quarter day hikes -Rattlesnake is an easy 2 -3 hour hike up to the top and when you get to the top you get amazing views of Squam Lake.

Boston is alright - if you can get Red Sux tickets then it's worth seeing Fenway if you've never been to a real old school ball park - but otherwise -boston is pretty ordinary...

I highly doubt we're going to be up for more hiking after Washington. I'm hoping we just find a cozy, calm place to nestle down and drink some booze, lol. The lakes sound awesome.... I'll have to tell Gord about them.

I've been to Boston quite a few times. I have some good friends that live there. And I'm a Red Sox fan, so I've seen some games. I've always had fun in Boston, but I think it had more to do with who I was with then the actual atmosphere.

the is a very old world hotel (architecture is one of the things that i love -and this hotel is just spectacular) near the mountain (as the name implies) It's kinda romatintic -but hey - gordy was about using your body heat to stay warm -s o a little snuggling by a roaring fire might appeal to him :D (NOT that ther's anything wrong with that :0

If not there's a bunch of motels and smaller hotels/campgrounds that are near Weirs beach - Bike Week at Weirs is the first or second weekend of June -whichis good fun.. but in May there shouldn't be any crowds..

You went to a helluva game last night - double overtime and coming out with a win!!

Hope you had a oodles of fun :)

Flyers lucky charm you are perhaps :D

Yes, it was an excellent game. I'm a bit tired today... I didn't get home until after 1, but it was a blast. Traffic was horrific, bad enough to almost make it not worth driving into the city to see it... but what can ya do? And let me tell you, Philadelphia fans are the rowdiest bunch I've seen!

It was a cool experience though... I'd say the third coolest sports event I've been to.

On the way down I stopped by King of Prussia Mall and bought an Apple Pro. I just couldn't resist... it's very nice, from what I saw in the store at least, lol. I haven't gotten it out of the box yet.

Reached a new low again today. The refeed is definitely doing what it's supposed to. 186.

i don't suppose trains are available from your area into the city -though probably not at the area you'd be leaving the game...

have fun with your new 'toy' :D
