Journey, Not A Destination

Cool. Thanks for the advice!

Yesterday I was at 11.5, so that is the level I feel pretty good with. I'll see how it goes with resuming karate and weight training and I'll adjust if I'm hungry. Thanks.

Yea, I'd be curious to know what they test you at. Do you have any guesses?

No, but I did do an online thing that just uses your weight and measurements...let me find it...ah here it is:

It said I was 20.6%, which is really good if it's true. My own guess....I don't know but maybe like 20%. I'd like to be 18.5%.

When I was 19 and 135 lbs, and lifting weights 2-3 times a week, and pretty heavy like I am now, the pinch test my gym teacher in junior college said I was 18%, but I thought it was probably inaccurate--I don't know how well the pinch test works. We also had those digital scales at our gym that are supposed to give your BF%, but that was when they were fairly new and at the same weight and time it said I was 30%!!!

Mr. Advice Man, I hope you have a great weekend. I also wanted to say that, I think it's great all the help you give. Thanks a lot!:)

Heya Steve, just popping my nose in to show off my new AV. Im trying to compete with ya :D

I have one of those scales that tells you your body fat, it still says ERR% whenever i use them with that function. Im guessing my body fat is still to high for it to read or fake.

I think i need some like garfields talking scales that say things like "Haha very funny ... now take the Elephant OFF the scales", and "these scales can only weight one person at a time, can the other two please get off!"

Well, did you get it tested? I would have guessed mid 20's at best. Most people don't really know what a woman in the teens of body fat really looks like. I have a picture of a woman I know who is 14%. Her physique is ridiculous. I will try and dig it up.

Scales are CRAP for measuring body fat. Period.

And very nice AVI! :)

Roaming around late tonight...thought I'd check in to see who else was up this late...:)

Not me! I had a "business" meeting until late last night and then it was straight to bed so I could wake up early and go fishing today. I just got back from that, and it was FREEZING out! I can't feel my toes! But the fishing was good. :)

haha, i throw them back whenever i fish as well.

Though i dont throw them back often .... mostly because i dont catch much often :D:D

Hey Steve! I'm glad you had a good time fishing. Do you know, I live on a lake, and I haven't been fishing since I was a kid? Shocking, I know. But our biggest predator here (besides the bear!) seems to be mosquitoes. Makes being out on the lake a little annoying. LOL!

Alright, so I talked to my ex's family about the gym. I was told that my kids' cousin is not tired of babysitting, and she agreed to watch the kids for an hour or so 6 days a week. So I'm good to go. I want to alternate cardio and weights. I love the treadmill (or being outside), and have started jogging a tiny bit as well.

But I don't know anything about weights, and where to begin, how much to do, how often, etc. There is no one to help here. Someone put up signs of different muscles to target, and pictures of how to do it. But I have no idea which of them I should do, or if anything might be left out. Any thoughts???

Happy Easter morning, fisherman!
I confess I only fish for things I'm going to eat. And I have to second Dariqueen in the mosquito thing. But it's a consolation, if you don't catch any fish, you're always sure to catch hundreds of mosquitoes anyway. :p
How did the website planning go?
