bigger arms?

Hey,

Im 16 years old (6ft 2in, 165 pounds) and have been lifting for the last two months every other day. My arms were skinny before i started to lift and in the last 2 months i have noticed a great improvment in terms of muscles but my arms are still not big. What i am trying to do is make my arms bigger and then bulk up. is there anyway that is possible? Thanks.

Lightsout

What does your diet consist of - be specific with times, foods consumed, etc...

What does your training routine look like?

Please post your training routine...but I suspect my answer is gonna be: train your arms less.

biceps and triceps are some fairly small muscle groups. people have a tendancy to think you need 3 bicep exercises and 2-3 triceps exercises every time you workout. You've only been lifting 2 months, so, you're still in the beginner stage really. I would wager you need no more than 1 set of isolation for the arms per workout, and instead work them primarily through heavy compound work: bench press, incline press, dips, pull ups and barbell rows.

When I leave the gym, I feel like I just got my ass kicked.
The next day, I'm just a little stiff, maybe one or two aches...but nothing 'hurts'. Nothing is tender to move or stretch.
Working your arms to the point of soreness...that's just damaging them.

Ok, I'm rambling a little here...thermogenics must be hitting.

post yer routine, we'll get you on the right path.
post yer diet too. you gotta eat to grow too.

In my honest opinion, if you've been lifting just two months, I wouldn't even bother with isolations for the arms. Focus strictly on compound movements. Use strict form on your exercises. Eat properly. Rest enough. You'll grow. Good luck with your goals.
