Journey, Not A Destination

Then, something I've only seen once in my life and never up close like this...

An enormous bald eagle came swooping out of nowhere at the water. I suppose it was hunting fish. It landed right near me on a branch. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in the wild. I tried to grab my camera. I did happen to snap a shot from inside but of course the flash was on and you couldn't see anything.

I'm hoping it's nesting near by and I have a chance to see it again.

That almost makes me want to cry, especially if it is truly quiet where you live. I love the outdoors but I don't think there is a single place in Missouri where you can NOT hear man made or dog made noises. Not even on my dad's farms and they are pretty big. :(

Oh yea, my new house is even closer. Rt. 23 runs right through Amish Country (what I call it) and I live on Rt. 23.

I can hear the highway faintly. I live in a populated area, it's just that my property is tucked away where nobody can see it.
 
Weekend was nice and relaxing. Did nothing but yard work and cleaned out my work shop. I only left the house to eat dinner at my parents house.
Alone time is good for you every now and again. The wife was at states for high school swimming which she coaches.

Ready to hit the gym hard today. Upper body strength day.

I'm also meeting with some of the high school coaches of our local wrestlers to discuss what I'd like to see them do in terms of off season programming. They just can't get it out of their heads that the magic isn't in the specific exercises, sets and reps. They're looking for The Program and missing the big picture.
 
Yea, I don't get around near enough. My journal is dying a slow death... something I never thought would happen. On to bigger and better things though. :)
 
I have a question for you Steve. It says under your name that you're a female body sculptor, yet you're quite obviously male. Are you a trainer for women, or does that have some other meaning?
 
Yea, I should really get around to changing that. I made that my user title a while ago after telling a story about a friend of mine who was working with a trainer. She was telling me the things her trainer told her. None of it was worth anything... it was the typical BS most trainers pawn off on their clients.

When I called bullshit, she was defensive and said, "Steve, he IS a female body sculptor so I think he knows what he's talking about."

Ya, and I'm able to heal people with the touch of a finger too.

I'm male. And I'm a trainer. But I'm not a female body sculptor.

Its his sick sense of humour, hes a 'really small' guy, since he cant be a big beefy guy hes decided to become a female body builder :D:D

But no, in all seriousness, hes a PT and does everyone , and hes wildly good looking and loves to post half naked shots we drool at (married! bugger!)

lol, that's a pretty funny story. I have a friend who knows a girl named Steve, so because of your user title I just assumed you were female until I saw some up close pictures you had posted somewhere. Then I got really confused lol.
