Mmmm, I'm from Canada so I don't know much about the area. Just that it gets cold there too and that there are Amish people
.
No, they're about 20 minutes west of me... very isolated.
I just saw the coolest thing. I was out cooking on the grill and I walked down to the stream. There were some trout swimming up stream right along my property. Then a heron flew over head. Shortly there after 3 deer ran right through my yard.
These are all everyday occurrences. Cool nonetheless, but I'm used to them.
Then, something I've only seen once in my life and never up close like this...
An enormous bald eagle came swooping out of nowhere at the water. I suppose it was hunting fish. It landed right near me on a branch. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in the wild. I tried to grab my camera. I did happen to snap a shot from inside but of course the flash was on and you couldn't see anything.
I'm hoping it's nesting near by and I have a chance to see it again.
So awesome.
I didn't know they were that close to you. I could almost picture you in Amish clothes. If only I were a photoshop pro--I'd take some pic of an Amish guy and put your head on him.

That almost makes me want to cry, especially if it is truly quiet where you live. I love the outdoors but I don't think there is a single place in Missouri where you can NOT hear man made or dog made noises. Not even on my dad's farms and they are pretty big.![]()
Oh yea, my new house is even closer. Rt. 23 runs right through Amish Country (what I call it) and I live on Rt. 23.
Steveeeee!!!!
Guess whoooo... no really, I'm going to make you guess!! Unless you recognize my face or have checked your email..hehe I'm going to start a new journal too, so stop by![]()
Did you pop yet or what?
Its his sick sense of humour, hes a 'really small' guy, since he cant be a big beefy guy hes decided to become a female body builder![]()
